+ "I had...trifles with my fat mass": As a former chubby kid, she had to get work done to fix the stretch marks on her legs, stomach, and chest. It seems natural now, but is a source of embarrassment for her. It seems to have worked out in her favor, since her thighs are very smooth and they're sometimes called "pudding legs". It bothers her to no end, but no one else seems to mind.

+ "Uh. Right. Do you have this but longer?": Her fashion style (mostly comprised of Tumblr fashion blogs) is normally baggy and long, and she enjoys hiding and swimming in a lot of fabrics. When she wears tight clothes, she compensates by asking the coordinoonas to include something to cover the back of her legs. That's the one area she will not expose easily. In the dorm, she will mostly only wear pajamas. Because they're comfortable. ("They show off my curves, hon.") She also enjoys the simple and clean look for geometric shapes, and may use metallics. However, she mostly wears lighter clothes, with dark accents. For formal dress, they try to enforce the goddess idea.

+ "I could wait for five days": Anyone who knows Daehyun knows her patience seems superhuman. Whether it's waiting for her Gundams, or even having to wait for good news, she can withstand the passage of time without any outer qualms. God bless her soul for having to wait for 12 hours for the new Samsung phone to come out in stores. Even then, she expects others to be as patient as her, so she can be a slow waker and preparer. (Her sister has experienced her slowness first-hand when getting ready for school.) She's the least likely to get mad, is known for looking sleepy the majority of the time.
+ "Me? I'm not sure what you are insinuating": Daehyun has a issue with accepting compliments because she cannot see what's the big spectacle with her talents. This comes from having relatively successful siblings and parents whose expectations piled on years after years. While she loves appreciating others' fantastic work, she gets very embarrassed when they notice her work. She wants to work on dealing with compliments like a real person. None of that "I'm not talented at all" while she does a backflip with sparklers. Which, ironically, bothers her as well. To get her to accept a compliment is like winning an achievement. 
+ "I just cleaned my room and made dinner": Her parents did raise her well, to an extent. She is highly independent and she can technically raise herself, the only things limiting her are her parents. She, by a very young age, already had an idea of how to live alone and become a successful woman. She could be considered the mother of her group, since she says it herself, "I'm a strong Korean woman who don't need no man." Which her group always starts to sing Miss A's song "I Don't Need a Man." She's expecting it, by now.
+ "Okay, I'm positive we don't need to bicker, hon": Call on Daehyun to be the peacemaker in anything, because she can see both sides of the coin if the fighters are willing. If they're not, she'll get their point of view anyway (she has the look of utter disappointment that she can pull on others).  By being humorous and appeasing both sides, she can calm down fights between friends and family until they can rationally come to a solution. Many people think she has magical powers at times. However, this doesn't apply with her own problems, and often pushes herself to fix it. In not the best way.
+ "At times, I challenge the notion that everyone understands my lexicon": Her vocabulary is large, like she includes SAT-level words in her everyday coversations for fun. You can tell she's speaking because no one would dare to use such big words. In verbal discussions, she was voted "Most Likely to Win" because..no one would understand her insults. She doesn't resort to slang, and likes when she learns colorful words that don't sound vulgar. Cussing in any language is a no-no for her, and she has a swear jar. Everytime anyone says a bad word, 1000 Won go into the star-shaped jar.
-- "Wow, that looks stellar": She has a biting tongue, and while many people think sarcasm is a good thing, others can get annoyed of her quips. Others can interpret it as not being serious about anything, and can confuse people who take things literally. She often uses sarcasm to mask how she feels about something, and to be mean with the benefit of the doubt. ("Wow, you're being such a obnoxious nightmare-- Just kidding!). Other times, she uses it because she can't bring herself to be sincere about someone she doesn't like. She eye-rolls and clicks her tongue often in sarcasm-mode.
-- "She threw away my singing notes. Splendid": If someone has been mean to her, she'll be mean back for a while, especially if there was obvious favoritism and she gets the short of the stick. Another thing that will make her hold a grudge is ignoring her, and comparing her to others because it means she lacks individuality as a person. You know you got her mad if she's either: being super sarcastic (often to get your attention and prompt an apology) or leaving you alone and then suddenly asking for your presence to get forgiveness. It may take a long while to get her to come around, because she lets many things fester instead of explode.
-- "Here! I brought you some food, blanket and I'll be here. Sitting":  Because she does like to help others in need, she'll pounce on you like Tiger Mom. She will ignore herself to serve you, or whoever is in need of help. However, unless you express signs of wellbeing or plain old "I'm done with you, stop it", she's going to be on you. With you. In your room, asking how you're feeling every 2 hours. Even if you're sleeping, she will be on you. This stems from a desire to be useful to anyone she cares about, so she can get to be smothering. She's a fan of giving long hugs and cuddling her sick friends, even if she gets sick the week after. 
-- "I don't think I can do this, I'm not cut out for it": She doubts herself very frequently, it gets to be a hindrance to Daehyun and those around her. She had issues even coming out and auditioning for SM, because it is one of the big 3 (even her sister is in a smaller company than her). When she second-guesses herself, things can get to be slow and annoying. As a trainee, she'd even consider dropping out because she felt as if someone else was more deserving of her position, but she will not (for the sake of her future). Positive reinforcement from her sisters and brother helps her immensely, as she has a portrait of them all together. This comes from her lack of recognition from her parents, as a child.
-- "It's what I want to do": She can get to be very self-centered, when comes to her dreams. She can sacrifice time, she can sacrifice money, but the one thing she will not sacrifice is her chances at being an idol. Nothing can come between her and that chance of showing herself to her parents. Her speech also "I" based, so she often begins with "I am", "I did", "I know". She can also keep certain things for herself, like food or information that would give others an edge (maybe something about debuting?) Others may get mad at the constant attention she puts on herself when she talks, she hasn't noticed the fixation however.

— this is my story

-- Born the youngest child to Park Changwook and Na Jungye, she was given a boy's name to follow the trend of mismatched names that her entire family has. Her siblings (9, 6, and 2 years old in order) were excited to have Daehyun around as the new baby in town. As the youngest, she was pampered and showered with attention. Because Jungye had been out of a job for a good while (10 years), she was in charge of taking care of both Soohyun and Daehyun. However, he had to be taken into kindergarten as he came of age three months later. Thus, Daehyun and her mom were left in the house alone. This meant she could have all the focus on her, which excited her baby feelings. Between being 6 months and 3 years, she showed an interest in being a classical (which wasn't unlike the rest of her siblings). For example, Minhyun let Dae sing in front of her friends when she was 2. She couldn't sing at all, but Min's friends thought it was adorable that she mimicked Seo Taiji's movements. When it came to be the time for Dae to enter kindergarten, her mother decided to put her in an afterschool class for music (along with Soohyun) so she could start working again.

-- As Daehyun grew older toward ages 3-7, it was becoming clear that Soohyun was a prodigy in piano while she lagged in the class. She played the violin, but was not at all great like her brother and her classmates. Her parents made any family outing a chance to brag about his skills, and how Juhyun was turning out to be beautiful enough to be a model. They also would bring up Minhyun's math prowess, as well as her chance at being the heiress to the company. However, when it came to Daehyun, they didn't say much. Additionally, she happened to be chubbier than her peers and was very slow in anything she did. It started to hurt her when they'd bring up that they'd feed her decently but didn't know why she wasn't losing weight. Minhyun noticed how Soohyun would steal snacks from the cupboards for her, and she confronted him during dinner once. Instead of getting angry at Soohyun, they directed their anger at Daehyun for accepting the offers and being fat. Juhyun wouldn't let them scold her for long because she risked getting grounded to defend Daehyun. Ever since, she had been grateful and Juhyun took on the role of helping her improve. By then, Dae was 7 and Ju was 13. Ju told her sister that she would try out for modelling and that she would help her lose weight so Dae could too. Instead, Dae told her that she'd become an idol.

-- The tension with their parents became a bigger issue since they didn't discuss the "fat" conversation for a while until Dae told them that she would lose weight on two conditions: That she get singing lessons with Juhyun, and when she did lose weight, some actual recognition. They only agreed to it because Juhyun was backing the decision, which did lead to some resentment on Dae's part. She noticed some real improvement, in contrast to violin. In 2000, Juhyun was 14 by then and started looking into entertainment companies to audition in. Dae thought she was ready to try out, but her parents gave her a firm no because she was such a young child and still wasn't acceptable to send off. She had 4 years until middle school where she began an ever harder regimen of dieting and exercise which was made by her lovely sister, Juhyun. Minhyun and Soohyun joined in the fun by running alongside them. Her parents were impressed by Dae's siblings, but had yet to acknowledge Daehyun herself. By the time Daehyun was in her end of middle school  (wow) at age 15, all her baby and surplus fat was burned. In addition, her eating habits improved due to a schedule her siblings implemented. Finally, she was technically allowed to audition with Juhyun in DSP Media. They both tried out, and only Juhyun made it. Daehyun was devastated, and kept to herself while Juhyun was feeling the divide that the results made. After training for only 4 months, she pulled out due to personal issues with her parents not being satisfied with the changing of companies. Daehyun was alone, as all of her siblings moved out. Her parents were finally lenient with her, as she had nothing tangible to be compared to. She also had singing showcases that her parents would proudly attend. 

-- As her years in high school ended, the first thing she decided on was a break year where she'd finish up her singing lessons as well as support her sister becoming a trainee in B2M. She got work done on her skin and areas where she had signs of weight gain as a child. Finally, as a 19 year old, she stepped into SM Entertainment to try out and audition. To support her, Soohyun waited for her as she was called in. She was piled in a room with other singers who, she felt, were much better than she was. However, she swallowed her doubt and began to sing "Lonely" from 2NE1, and many accounts say she looked like she was ready to cry. However, the show of emotion was enough for her to get called back and accepted as a trainee for SM. She was so excited, that she told Juhyun and Soohyun before her parents and Minhyun.

Brother — Park Soohyun // 26 // Pianist // Friendly, Intellectual, Complacent, Doormat // He's her favorite (and only) brother, since they spend a lot of time and he'd accompany her to music classes. He's Dae's biggest fan, but she's not aware of that. He listens to her group's music all the time on road trips, and she's acknowledged him on TV as a great pianist.

She had one or two trainee friends, but the majority of her friends were already established artists. Her voice was known for being strong enough for belting, but could falter at times. Her special talent is trot. Her dancing is above standard for SM, but doesn't have the skillset that a main/lead dancer would have. However, the younger trainees did look up to her after Red Velvet's debut.

If there's anyone to personify "Hope", it's J-Hope. s constantly describe him as being hyperactive and bouncing off the walls. (You see him dancing around everywhere). Sometimes, he even stupefies his own members with how ridiculous he is. He can't be described as 4D because he's not as weird as his fellow member V. And he does the unexpected and turns out to be the neatest member of Bangtan, since he cleans after everyone and has everything in order. He's the one who does laundry and folds as well, earning him the "Mother" title within the group. He's responsible, as seen by Rap Mon's commentary that "he fixed his bad habits after a short while." He also feels that he needs to help out the other members. Finally, he is an seemingly nice guy who enjoys smiling at babies and plucking flowers. His friendliness is something everyone loves.
However, responsibility comes with a price: nagginess. His persistent attitude is how he gets things done, but also how he gets on the members' nerves. Hoseok's talented in many ways, complaining about the chores is one. In addition to that, he can switch moods quickly and deceive others on how he's feeling. For example, he can be bright but suddenly be almost sinister. He has an "evil side" (so-called by Jimin), and can often manifest some serious jealously or anger. While smiling, which is the scariest part. The timidity often occurs when he feels sad or unfairly treated, and when it happens, it happens hard. He'll detach from others to have some quiet time, where everyone will mostly leave him alone. If you try to take him out, he wll be unresponsive and fairly depressed looking. Finally, he is a very sensitive guy so his feelings do get hurt easily, even if he doesn't show it. So, if someone hurts his feelings, he doesn't try to fix anything and will get cranky. 

relationship — 
They seem like complete opposites because he's so hyper and she's calm, but they have similarities that allow them to relate to each other. If they had a couple name, it'd probably be PapaMama because they're the parents of their own groups and they would do well in a domestic setting. Daehyun has a growing crush on Hoseok, mostly because he's so nice to her and they've had their fair share of conversations that get unintentionally philosophical. Hoseok still views her as a "noona", and thinks he doesn't have such feelings. However, he doesn't like it when she mentions any potential suitors. BTS always happens to be around whenever Yirae brings her friend from SM because they observe J-Hope closely. They get awkward around each other, but tend to sit next to each other. After debut, they make sure they have time to text each other during music shows and concerts. Hoseok doesn't get the big idea when the rest of BTS is hinting at Daehyun's interest.

They met when her friend Yirae was showing her around BigHit, and they were practicing for No More Dream. Yirae, being the attention grubber she was, decided to loudly announce her presence as the SM trainee (and her best friend). They were all shy around her, but J-Hope was the first one to start an actual conversation. This stuck out to her, and he was the only one that day to get her phone number.
