Weight / Height - 170 cm | 53.5 kg

Style -
Her clothes are pastel and bright colors, and normally include black and white as a plus. Her clothes are influenced by hot weather, and will usually wear the least of all the members. She prefers to forego pants, if she can. If not, she wears mostly shorts and skirts (hi-lo). She loves sandals, especially gladiator sandals, and all things summer. However, her casual includes heels because she likes to flaunt her height. She has a varying wardrobe for each season, however, because she can't stand the winter and will bundle up (relatively less, because she seems to be exothermic.) but will prefer leggings to actual pants.

Appearance -
Her skin is darker than the other members, but it is very soft due to the 30000 bottles of lotion in her bag. Her hair color is normally brown/dark brown, but she wants to dye her hair crazy colors (which she thinks life as an idol will give her permission to). She has good eyesight, but is curious about contact lenses and is willing to buy some. She is interested in the idea of extra piercings, but doesn't have more other than the standard lobe piercing. Her makeup is usually pink-orange based, and her favorite product is lip tints, because they're multifaceted and you can use it anywhere easily.

Trainee years - 5/6
Trainee life
Because she knew Sulli, she had a friend for a while before she was put into f(x)'s lineup. Other trainees often saw her as a "visual-only" trainee, assuming that she had no other talents, but she paid no heed to them. Regardless, she made friends with the EXO and Red Velvet trainees. She became the closest to Seulgi and Jongin, because they were all dancers which were around the same age. They all attended the same high school as well, so they often went together and had a small little group. However, the rivalry was still present between trainees for the next group to be debuted. As it turned out, it was "Kai". Short one member, Seulgi and Seonhye felt the competition (but didn't let it ruin their friendship). They practiced long hours, and it seemed that Seonhye was plateauing with progress as she went nowhere. The biggest problem was: "I don't want to see you as only a visual, show me you can actually perform," a comment from the majority of her vocal coaches. She could dance, but without the voice, she was useless. Stress seemed to push her down, but she fought back and readied herself for debut. She'd also heads with

Scandals -

ILBE scandal, which turns out to be a fake/anti fan | An account that is said to be Seonhye (based on username, interests, and "hints" dropped in comments) is found, and causes discussion as Ilbe subculture is considered very right-winged and often deals with ism, suicide, , drugs, and violence. | After Debut

Personality traits - (+) Self-confident, Honest, Charismatic, Perfectionist, Enthusiastic  (-) Tactless, Belligerent, Compulsive, Difficult, Wary

Self-confident: She isn't afraid to show herself, and is a very open book (usually). She's that friend that'd be willing to start fashion trends, and brushes off mean-spirited comments because she knows she's fantastic (meaning, she's the only one that can criticize herself). Her self-esteem, which is mostly fueled on her own appearance, often makes her seem very conceited, but she can't tell lies and be humble. She knows she's pretty, and often pushes others to feel the same about themselves. On shows, she is the one volunteering for things (even if they're "stupid") because she's willing to put herself out there for the sake of her team.
Honest: She will give something to you straight, no fluff. She hates people shielding her from the truth, so she makes sure that all of her loved ones know what she feels. It's her moral duty (or so she says) to make sure no one is ever left behind in terms of information. Like her motto says, "Secrets don't make friends." She is not above asking for true intent of words, if someone is being sneaky or dishonest. ("No, but what do you mean?" is a frequently overused phrase in her book).
Charismatic: Many of the people she meets say that she has a characteristic pull towards herself, whether it be the way she carries herself or how genuine she seems to others. She's very clear in speaking, and doesn't fall into the aegyo trap, which brings her many International fans. Instead, she has a more subtle and classy charm. Interactions where her charisma can be seen is normally: genuine interest in what others say, having a very natural presence on TV shows, and she gets very comfortable with others easily.
Perfectionist: From head-to-toes, she strives for excellence. So when she has work to be done, she as it done to her standards (hair, own clothes, dance practice). She pays attention to the details, and be her own harshest critic. She often looks to aesthetics when deciding what "perfect" is, however. If something looks perfect, then it should be. You can see this trait always, as she always dresses to her impeccable taste or when she gives her opinion on recording/dance practice about doing it this way instead ("It might work, I have a good feeling.")
Enthusiastic: She's very carefree (on TV broadcasts especially) and is very excited to be on her way to being an idol. When she wakes up, she is already set for a day of bleak training, but she has the end goal in mind. Her enthusiasm isn't very blatant (off-the-wall 4D "I'M SO EXCITED- kind of deal), but it's more of interest for exciting events to occur. She gives very firm handshakes, especially when ready to partake in something new and risky. She is the one person that gets silently excited for shows, and gives the ahjummas a lot of hugs and photo opportunities.
Tactless: She's honest! Which is a plus, if only she didn't have mouth-diarrhea. Often times, she can be frank to a fault and doesn't take into consideration how others feel (especially the more sensitive people). On difficult and serious issues, she can tell you exactly what she thinks is wrong and it isn't pretty. To contrast with her normally diplomatic image, she's unaware that her words can hurt people and the members have to compensate and twist her words (which does bother her because they're not telling the entire truth). When she doesn't like someone, her tongue is even more scathing, because she doesn't hide her dislike. ("Your dance technique is sloppy, and you lack flexibility. Try harder.")
Belligerent: She is willing to start arguments rather quickly, often on the basis of dishonesty or someone threatening her/her group's position. ("You're lying, tell me the truth.") She butts heads with people she disagrees, and can cause unrest in a situation because she voices her displeasure so easily. Once you get her in the fighting mood, something has to give and the problem must be solved. An example would be a love rival compromising her friend's image. In that case, Seonhye will not hesitate to confront said rival and will force her (who might be in tears after a Seonhye verbal rant) to apologize to the friend's love interest.
Compulsive: She can be obsessive, and certainly wouldn't mind the fine line between socially correct and incorrect when truly angry. Her impulse can trump her restraint, and she is goal-oriented so beware if you stand in her way. When she is assigned something, she will spend hours and days practicing that one part that isn't perfect. This can annoy others, especially since no one wants to see someone look like they're stuck in a endless feedback loop. She's passionate, but she doesn't differentiate between passion and obsession if it's done "right." Example: she's danced the same dance move for 3 days, before a SM progress check.
Difficult: She's so used to routine that breaking it often leads to her resentment (you'll know it because she'll be complaining the entire way). However, they tend to be (you guessed it) aesthetic details that feel out of the ordinary. She discriminates details that she wants to focus on, and will need a legitimate reason for the change.  If a big thing has been changed, she will most likely not mind. This gives her the appearance of being arbitrary and someone who picks the wrong fights. However, this is how her mind works as a result of being exposed to differing visual art forms. Examples of this: She isn't accustomed/doesn't like cutesy concepts and is forced to accomodate. She will be clear in her dislike, and may have the most issues with the MV directors.
Wary: She is distrustful of those who have proven to lie a lot, and while she can't help being honest, will call them out on their personality or even
try to avoid these people (if they confuse her to the point she needs to think it through). She is mostly suspicious of her friend's rivals, since they are threats to their happiness and could be willing to hurt them.  To aid her doubt on these people (if they're not dishonest), then she will ask them what they feel about the friend. If their response is too "fake", then she will fall into "interrogator" mode and she'll try to get the information out. Examples of this: She loses her enthusiasm when a name is mentioned, and when asked, she will explain that she has suspicions that they're out to get her.

Background -

She was born in Yongin to parents Ryu Jinhwan and Park Chaeyeon, a famous couple known in Korea for being two starlets. Her father was an actor, who focused on traditional Korean dramas and even starred in some American movies (best known role: Thomas Chung in Radiance, a sci-fi movie). Her mother was also an actress, who often worked with Jinhwan in conjunction. They planned to move to America for Seonhye's birth but instead decided to move to Jinhwan's hometown. There, she was already exposed to cameras at a very young age, and was a very cute child who smiled at a very young age of 2 months. However, maternity leave was short for them both and they needed to get back into the swing of things after Seonhye turned 1. They had Jinhwan's sister, Jinkyung, take care of her for when times were unpredictable.

Seonhye grew an attachment to her Aunt Jinnie, who took her to the ice cream shop as a pastime to look at others. Jinkyung was offered a well-paid job as Seonhye's nanny, even. Jinkyung, however, felt bad for Seonhye as she would cry for her parents after days of not seeing them. Seonhye's parents were absent from her life (at the least 1 day, at the most 3 weeks) and she grew into the habit of asking "Where are my parents?" where Jinkyung wouldn't know at times. This grew to Jinkyung getting angry at her brother and his wife for abandoning their child with her, who became more and more stressed with the growing disappearances. They even spent Seonhye's 3nd birthday alone. Afterwards, they had to call them over the telephone in order to tell Jinkyung which preschool to take Seonhye.

Her parents decided on a prestigious school, which led into various International schools, since they wanted their baby to be a scholar. Jinkyung disagreed, because as a little child, Seonhye took an interest in being famous. However, her paycheck silenced her and her opinion. Even then, they defended themselves with the fact that they had traveled a lot together (which wasn't a lie, since they'd have extravagant trips to Europe and America every summer). Seonhye was the only one who would hear her complain about how they treated "their baby", and how she deserved better. Seonhye made many friendships, however none lasted very long. She was friends with the teachers and majority of the adults, instead. Even into elementary, she didn't keep many of her friends because they would be told by their parents to cut it off (They felt she was only in the school because of nepotism, and was a regular rich kid). At this stage, she started having temper tantrums and being less amicable as no one told her the truth. She started getting very clingy, and wouldn't attend school. When Jinkyung asked her what she truly wanted, she burst into tears and shouted clear as day, "I want to be a celebrity!" She was hastily pulled out, and put into an arts school, where she felt at home with the performing-based students. After, both her and Jinkyung (since she found a man that would help her take care of Seonhye) were happy.

While Seonhye's parents didn't agree with the change first, Jinkyung pulled the "Absence" card and they shut up. Starting middle school, she made some lasting friends who had similar goals of stardom, unlike the kids in her kindergarten/elementary school. She was in her school's Dance and Choir club, but mostly gained praise for her beauty. Her closest friend was No Baekyoung, who was a natural artist and ridiculous. In her third year of middle school, her father decided to take a break from the movies and her mother, from making albums. They decided that it was enough to support themselves economically for years, and they wanted to see how she had developed. She was very angry with her parents, since they always kept her in the dark about their plans and only visited once in a while, and especially since Jinkyung would not be able to visit often. She too adopted an ultimatum for them both on the last weeks of middle school: We go to Seoul or I go to Seoul. Because they couldn't stand to separate any longer, they obviously moved to Seoul together.

She began high school at SOPA (School of Performing Arts - Seoul), where she met her first idol-to-be friends. She was classmates with Choi Jinri, who was an SM trainee, and was in the majority of her classes. They became friends, despite being opposites and even Jinri proclaiming that she doesn't like blunt people. Seonhye asked her about SM, which Jinri sooner or later asked her to audition for. Seonhye herself wasn't against the idea, but she needed to present it to her parents (especially as a 15 year old). Her mother was excited, her father not so much. Regardless, she asked her mother to support her and take her to the audition. She was able to meet Jinri before auditioning for dance. Seonhye found out the results after she got a callback from SM, and they wanted her to try out again. After a month of callbacks and more auditions, she was accepted in 2010. Her parents were scared to lose her once again, but had to accept their offer because it was her dream.

Love Interest Name - Lee Sungyeol
Group/Occupation - Idol (Infinite)
Age: 23/24

Relationship - Friends + Sworn Rivals

How'd You Meet? -
They met after the SM-Woollim merger, where all the Woollim artists came over to visit the SM building. Seonhye was shown off as one of the trainees, along with others. After the formal introductions, they were left to tour the training rooms. While there was a large group of trainees flocking to Infinite and Nell, Seonhye decided to stay behind and just wait for the crowd to disperse (so she could actually talk to them). Sungyeol dispersed from the glob of people and walked up to Seonhye, where he formally introduced himself. Seonhye, being the forever tactless bean she is, said very clearly "Okay, your parents must have great genes. Bless you. Wait, hello." And then she bowed. Myungsoo (and maybe everyone else in the room) heard it and burst out laughing. Sungyeol never met a woman so direct, and expected her to be embarrassed. However, she laughed as well and flipped her hair. She was totally ready to begin this friendship. "Yeah, can I have your phone number, sunbae?"

Interactions Towards Each Other -
They're sworn enemies because as a morning greeting, they both say "I hate you." This seems to be commonplace with Sungyeol, who is a jokester. After he clarified that it was a joke the first time, she also partakes in the fun. Seonhye's mouth-diarrhea makes it very simple and easy for them to communicate, because she's so direct and doesn't beat around the bush if she wants something. Seonhye understands his position in Infinite, because she was hit with the "Visual-only" card so many times. Sungyeol also empathizes with her want to be recognized as an idol, and not just a pretty face. When next to each other, they have poke wars and may even get close to punches. They have a small routine where they dance a "waltz" and Sungyeol is the girl, and there are jokes that they're the Coffee couple(would they be in WGM). They've expressed interest in having a stage together in an SMTOWN concert, where they show off their dancing and singing skill.

His Personality -
Sungyeol isn't called the elementary schooler for nothing, since he's very hyper and humorous. He is known for making some pretty ugly faces, but it doesn't detract from his lively personality. He's the one who brings the variety, and is the one who does the crazy dances and the weird impressions. He is also playful, not only to his managers and members, but any friends he has. He teases them frequently, with pranks and jumpscares. He's also driven to be the best he can be, which is a point both Seonhye and Sungyeol relate to. He doesn't lie about his own faults, and owns up to his own mistakes (which is a bonus).
However, sometimes Sungyeol can be insecure and wants to be noticed as a Infinite member. He can be overshadowed by the others, so he often tries to compensate by being the funny member. He can be very hard on himself, and takes his ow career seriously. Also, he can be moody and driven by emotions (it is said he's packed up to leave the dorms various times even after debut). He is an easy crier, and anything pleasing will cause the floodgates to open. He can't, for the life of him, shield his emotions well. Finally, he can go too far when teasing others and can hurt their feelings.

Back Up - VIXX's Hongbin

Rival Name - Ahn Jihyun
Group/Occupation - Actress
Age - 22/23

Personality -
She's very cutesy and pulls a lot of aegyo to others, due to being an actress who is not very well-known. She is also very shy, and can appear cold to others. However, that is not the case, and is only because she has trouble opening up to others. She is also determined and outwardly considerate of her friend's feelings, and is very polite. She is a self-proclaimed pacifist, and she labels herself as LGBT friendly, as well as a lover of animals. She is also very dainty, and wants to be the perfect wife.
However, she believes that the world runs on love, and that she's destined to be with anyone she crushes on. She also isn't afraid to step on others (only in secret and behind their back, however) to get a romantic partner. Also, she can undermine and casually manipulate others to be on her side, especially with her martyr complex. She isn't confrontational, and often shies away from conflict, not facing who she wants to fight. Passive aggression is her defense mechanism.

Interactions Towards Each Other -
She doesn't like Seonhye because Sungyeol's always texting her on set of their drama "While You Were Sleeping." She's even sent a confusing text as Sungyeol to make her angry, but it backfired because Seonhye replied back with a worse insult, and a winky face. Seonhye's never actually met Jihyun, only heard of her when Sungyeol complains about her talk of their future together. When asked about Seonhye, Jihyun avoids the topic and tries to change it, because she doesn't like talking about her.

Reason of Rivalry -
Jihyun has a very obvious crush on Sungyeol, even when they filmed their drama, and Sungyeol doesn't reciprocate. Instead, he talks to a nugu trainee, whose only redeeming factor is her looks. She's considering visiting the SM building with Sungyeol to make her jealous. However, on Seonhye's side, she isn't aware of Jihyun's existence and thinks her name is Hyunjoo (like her character on the drama).
