⟪ WEIGHT, HEIGHT ⟫ 162 cm, 50 kg

⟪ FASHION STYLE ⟫ her style involves many pastels and neutral colors that are faded out, and uses bright colors to accent these outfits. She is a fan of skirts (A-Line and tutu), dresses, and jumpers that are simple to put on. She wears a lot of cardigans and jackets, even in the heat.

⟪ APPEARANCE ⟫ she secretly uses henna (courtesy of sehyung), so her parents don't find out, on her upper arms in the shape of geometric lines and shapes like triangles. she uses minimal makeup (bb cream, brown eyeliner, gradient peachy lips and blush) everyday. she sometimes curls her hair as well. She has a scar on her lower arm from burning herself with dealing with cooled sugar that wasn't fully cold.

⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫ maternal; loyal; extroverted; persistent; hates change; envious

+ Maternal: She loves to see her little "bonbons" pampered, and not have to deal with issues of the "real world" (her phrasing, since she views the future as a scary and harsh arena that is willing to trample the good [a.k.a her friends] people she finds). She's the person who will run to her friend's house to feed them and bathe them when they're sick. Her maternal side is seen in her speech, often through key phrases like "Oh hon", "It will be okay, I promise" because she's not ready for them (and herself) to start separating. She has many things to give to her friends like time, advice, or help. She was also a very precocious child, often knowing or preaching about topics like marriage and being a good mom. However, this doesn't mean she's mature however, because she's not truly sure of what the future will bring or how to deal with it.

+ Loyal: She's the human representation of "giving an arm and a leg." To her friends, her fierce loyalty is shown by her bringing many material goods that they want, but also by how much time she spends to care for them with their issues. She could honestly say that she takes care of others more than she does herself. If you insult her, don't expect an outroar from Sehyang, per se. (Do expect an issue with her friends, however.) If you insult her friends, she'll make it a personal issue to "discuss" with you. (With a baseball bat.) Her motto in terms of loyalty is: "Loyalty and devotion lead to bravery, bravery leads to self-sacrifice." Because she thinks bravery as a good trait, she strives to be a hero in her friends' eyes.

+ Extroverted: She's extroverted in the sense that, she relaxes by having people around her, and she strives to be on good terms with everyone. She enjoys peoples' company and looks to others when making a decision in order to be "fair and just". She's not extremely gregarious and unreserved, she just prefers having many around her, instead of being alone. Her small talk skills are strange, because she can make a small convo turn into a large discussion.

- Persistent: She's nosy and naggy. For example, if someone is being vague ["How are you?" "I'm alright." "..No, you're not.], she will not accept the answer and instead will poke for more information. She will also try to do a task many times, and will not break her concentration.  However, her persistence also leads her to disappointment as she  tries to achieve a goal (in this case, keeping the group together.) She's caused some verbal fighting from this, because many people get annoyed by this. You can tell you've peaked her interest and begun the nagging when her eyes widen and she tilts her head back. Her speech becomes shorter when she's especially determined, she resorts to fragments instead of sentences.

- Hates Change: Time and change are her ultimate rivals. If she could make everyone stay the same age, she would in a heartbeat. Her character lies in the fact that she lives in the past, and has a hard time going to the future. Phrases she uses frequently include "Remember that one time you..", "Our childhood was great!", "You're exactly like you were __ years ago!", and anything that involves a look into the past. Her thinking is very old-fashioned as well, considering she has some prejudice against anything out of the norm (uality, amount of partners, in general). If she expects anything in the future, she wants a stereotypical life of a husband and kids. (Or so she thinks). She can also be judgemental with out of the ordinary lifestyle choices, like transgender people and polygamy.

- Hypocrite: Another point to bring up, however, is that the best experiences she has are new things in life. She's dyed her hair, tried new flavors, met foreigners, and even got a small piercing on her ear. She often relies on her friends to let her feel new things (not without some very very hard persuasion however). In that case, she lives on two poles of her "right and wrong" (the new and the road already traveled), often switching between both to feel secure. She can get issues from the indecision, where she often needs someone to talk to (but her inability to burden others leads her to feel stressed, where she'll resort to very vocal anger at nothing in particular, such as paper or any physical thing in her way.) She also tells half-truths (In example, she is asked about relationships and dating, she'll verbally say that she's not interested in boys, but when asked about girls, she'll freeze and excuse it by saying "As an upcoming idol, I won't have time for that.") in order to hide anything that she dislikes (see list of dislikes).

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Her life began in Busan, South Korea to a couple (Moon Sihoon and Lee Ahra) known for being very pious Catholics, and even going on missionary missions to surrounding provinces of Korea. Their marriage was stabilized by their unshakeable belief in Christ, and often dealt with Sehyang strictly yet not violently. Her life was routine, because her Mom would have an order of how to care for her child. She was the youngest child, and her two older twin brothers were very gentle with Sehyang because she was a very fat baby and all of the children were under constant watch of their mother. Sehyung and Sekwang themselves were known to be very introverted and played within themselves unless they decided to include Sehyang in their play. They felt some responsibility for her as the older brothers of their younger sister. (They were scared that Sehyang was actually the second coming of Christ. Which their parents soon dispelled at age 4.) Soon, their parents' work called for them to transfer to Seoul in 2000, since there was a job offering as a religious school teacher. The couple quickly took it, and began their move to Seoul because the school year was beginning for the small children.

Sehyang started in kindergarten, a year below her twin brothers, but stil in the same kindergarten as them. The first day they began, she wore a very large lavender bow to school, which both Sekwang and Sehyung teased lightly. They all walked in, hand in hand, until they reached Sehyang's classroom. They left her, and continued on to their own classroom. They were proud for being such cool older brothers. When she entered the room, she put her hands on her hips and scanned the room. There were so little children, on account that she was incredibly early. She first approached a child who wasn't interested in the toys, and instead was pouting in the corner. This turned out to be Anger herself, and pursued a friendship with her. She wanted to show her a cool game with a "fortune teller" origami paper. Sehyang's small crummy fortune teller (in addition to her strange way of talking) still impressed her, and urged her to show others. So they (well, technically Anger) approached Denial who started entering the room. They continued with the small group, making strange fortunes like "You will 10,000 won and be rich forever" and "You will become famous". Finally, when the class room began to grow in numbers, Sehyang wanted to find one last person. So she approached Depression, and waved, asking "Can I tell you your fortune today?", seeing as how no one should be sad on their first day of school. The group got her to open up, and they decidedly made a group in kindergarten.

Sehyang all throughout kindergarten was a representative for the group, often rounding them together for games and inviting others if need be Her weird accent made other laugh, but with her instead. She earned many friends for being open to having others join them. Otherwise, she always made time to spend for her group. She often had boys who would come to her to be her "boyfriend", but she wasn't interested in such nonsense if it wasn't going to end in marriage. Even then, she'd play the marriage game with girls more often than with boys, because she thought they did it better than the guys. Not many people questioned it, yet. She also met Song Kyungil as a result of his confession to be her "banana milk baby." She couldn't take him seriously at all, because she stole the banana milk and ran off to her group of friends. She felt bad, and decided to take up his offer as friends. He was fine with this, and he'd join them to play if his friends kicked him out for being bossy. In elementary school, Sehyang was close to being put into a different class with her friends, but was transferred into their class when they lost her teacher, due to budget costs. Luckily by then, her group of friends remained the same and played together. By this time, she began singing in her Church's choir and began to learn how to play the keyboard. She soon began an interest in music. When middle school came, they realized they'd have to have different classrooms and she was petrified. However, they placed in the same classes. That was a temporary relief. However, she began to notice that they started straying in their interests. She wanted to be a singer or idol, meanwhile her friends had other plans with their lives. However, she sacrificed her own wants to attend the same high school to preserve the group and what they once had. She also began to have issues with her uality, since she realized that she lost interest in boys (or never had that much to begin with). The way her friends saw boys, was not at all the way she saw them. Instead, during P.E., she noticed that her attention diverted to something else. However, her religious beliefs made her wonder how she could think such horrible things. She once tried to act on her feelings once, and it didn't end well for her (The group isn't aware of what happened, however). Her struggle to do what is morally right vs what she feels about an issue often clouds her judgement, and she blames that issue on why her group of friends is drifting. She will give anything to fix it.

  ⟪ TRIVIA ⟫

likes: cutesy kpop, makeup, fashion, going to church, hugs, going out with friends, spa days, origami
dislikes: y things, being alone and forced to face the music, change, being unsure, boys taking away her babies
hobbies: singing/choir, video games, cooking, baking, not studying
extra: her weakness is chubby babies (they remind her of herself), her brothers know about her "problem", she wants to be famous, she's homoual but she doesn't accept it, she can play the keyboard well

⟪ FAMILY ⟫

Father, Moon Sihoon ⋮ 48 ⋮ Religious school teacher ⋮ Vivacious, Devoted, Narrow-minded, Strict ⋮ Sehyang views him as a strong parental figure, but sometimes has issues with getting close to him (because as a child, he was too domineering and not relaxed enough to let her trust him). He wonders what he did to drive her away, often rationalizing it with "she's a teenager, it's her hormones."
Mother, Lee Ahra ⋮ 47 ⋮ Stay at Home Mom ⋮ Soft-spoken, Socially correct, Type-A, Stubborn ⋮ She's the stereotypical helicopter parent who craved structure in her house, but wasn't fiercely strict. Sehyang is closer to her mom, but can't delve too deep into contrasting ideals because it will end in a scolding.
Brother, Moon Sehyung ⋮ 18 ⋮ HS student ⋮ Intelligent, Creative, Uninhibited, Impulsive ⋮ She's closest to the twins, and especially Sehyung because he's liberated himself from having the same exact ideals as heir parents. He allows her to talk about her problems with him because he accepts her the way she is.
Brother, Moon Sekwang ⋮ 18 ⋮ HS student ⋮ Structured, Serious, Placatory, Melancholic ⋮ She's still close to Sekwang, but they don't have the fluid conversations that Sehyung and Sehyang do. This is due to the fact that he often seems indifferent to her problems, and still has some moral attachment to their parents.

⟪ FRIENDS/CLASSMATES ⟫

Best Friends, Anger ⋮ 16 ⋮ HS student ⋮ Hot-headed, Strongwilled ⋮ Sehyang is closest to Anger because they are opposites and Anger is very sure of herself, no room for questions. They share a bond over similar feelings towards the incoming maturity they have to deal with, but they approach it different ways.
Best Friends, Depression ⋮ 16 ⋮ HS student ⋮ Quiet, Forlorn, Mature ⋮ She feels exceptionally inclined to protect her and Denial together, since Sehyang doesn't want them to face high school alone. She would do whatever for them.
Best Friends, Denial ⋮ 16 ⋮ HS student ⋮ Shy, Calm ⋮ Another younger person of her group, she wants to shield them and round them up into a group, so they can
Classmate, Song Kyungil ⋮ 16 ⋮ HS student ⋮ personality ⋮ They were accidental friends, only because he confessed to her once as children. He views the whole situation as lame, but he is still happy to be Sehyang's friend.

⟪ RIVALS ⟫

Rivals, Heo Chanmi ⋮ 16 ⋮ HS Student ⋮ Affectionate, Cheery, Two-faced, Jealous ⋮ She's a church "friend" who's also in her choir, and also wants to be an idol. She's felt inferior to Sehyang because she gets attention for her voice, but she suspects something is up around the time that Sehyang confesses to Jinye. She is willing to do anything to triumph over Sehyang. On the other hand, Sehyang doesn't like Chanmi because she's seen how her gossip ostracizes her other classmates, and is scared that she could be shunned.

⟪ CHOSEN PLOTLINE ⟫ bargaining

⟪ Q: HOW DID YOU REACT TO YOUR FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL? ⟫

"Honestly, y'd think we had the whole thing planned out. Y'know? I feel so bad. I left'em. I'm the oldest, I have the responsibility. Leaving them alone in their class. I'd give so much to have us all together in a class! Ha ha. What'f they replace us? Replace me? This's a praying matter, and I'm waiting for God every day and every night. My world has ended, for sure. I don't like this f'rst day at all, not one bit."

⟪ Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK HOLDS IN THE FUTURE FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS? ⟫

"I don't know. I really don't know. *whispers* I really think this is my punishment for being a horrible leader. They made me feel special and like I had a place somewhere. By all means, I'm getting this group back. Whether they like it or not. They should like it. I'm fixing this. At all costs."

⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫ Tolerant, Optimistic, Reticient, Moody

Tolerant: Jinye isn't one to judge on on physical or strange traits, but instead looks at the person inside. For a conservative Korea, she thinks quite liberally and accepts anyone's friendship. She is open on many topics, and allows herself to shown different viewpoints (like perspectives on the Korean education system, the issue of abortion, gay marriage, etc).
Optimistic: She expects the best situation first, and looks on the bright side of things. She isn't hyper or manic, she does view the world and change positively. Her friends that know her comfortably, see this much more in her actions (which include pursuing a friendship with Sehyang because she believes that she will succeed soon, viewing negative events as a result of fate, but also a chance at improving).
Reticient: She has an inclination towards being quiet and secretive, not wanting to give much about herself. She is a better listener because sometimes, she's not ready to reveal her inner feelings. However, this leads to delayed reactions about what she thinks and she overthinks her problems (both inter- and intrapersonal). Others may confuse this as aloofness, but it is only because she doesn't feel that she needs to be outspoken when she does talk.
Moody: The price of her hoarding her thoughts and feelings often results in either unsettling apathy (I don't care, I don't. Do what you want) to an outburst of uncharacteristic fervor (I don't understand what's going on, but you're going to explain it to me or I swear--). However, her defense mechanism especially used is displacement (sending her anger from one target, to a different one because she can't act out on it) and becoming a bit more aggressive in her goals (e.g. if her problem is breathing exercises for singing, she'll overworking herself until she requires medical attention for the lack of air.) Only three (mother, father, best friend) people have seen her this way, and Sehyang might be the fourth.

⟪ ANY LAST COMMENT ⟫ man it's hard to find things who are like "homo is a-ok" but it's cool ayay if i need any changes don't be afraid to go all out (btw the hyperlink should be in the image)

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫

They look like strangers, only sign that they interacted is that they have each others numbers. Weeks before they left middle school, Sehyang tried confessing to her, but Jinye didn't give a clear yes or no (she seemed very indecisive and shocked that a girl confessed to her, considering the conservative environment in Korea.) Because she was out of her comfort zone, Sehyang immediately ran away and didn't hear the final answer. They mutually avoided each other, out of respect of Sehyang's broken feelings. As the high school year begins, Jinye tries to initiates the conversations between the two on Kakao, but all she gets is a "Seen at 0:00". Sehyang thinks Jinye isn't worthy, but still wants a Korean drama moment where she returns for forgiveness, and they reconcile. Jinye is still flustered at the idea of Sehyang liking her, but is not against the idea of returning such feelings (and she's interested in getting to know her regardless.)

⟪ HOW DID YOU MEET? ⟫

They had the same class in middle school, and sat next to each other because she couldn't stop talking to her friends. Sehyang was quick to introduce herself, and they bonded over similar goals of being an idol. Because she is also the more outgoing of the two, she asked for her number first and promised they'd sing and dance together. They'd go to audition together. Jinye felt happy that Sehyang could do the majority of the speaking, since she preferred to listen.

⟪ INTERACTIONS ⟫

At school, Sehyang is obvious in her evasion and if they meet, she is persistent that she needs to leave for business. Jinye, on the other hand, will not try to force her to stay (because she feels it will burden her). Whenever they're near each other, the tension levels rise. They were moved from being seatmates after Sehyang requested a seat in the front to "see better." Outside of school, Sehyang tries to avoid interactions with her. Jinye is oblivious to this fact, but possibly in the future they meet up on accident and they try to have a conversation. Soon, Jinye is going to lose her patience and wonder why they "drifted as friends" (which will strike a chord with Sehyang because it's the same exact issue she's having with her group of friends).

Hey thanks for applying! Sorry for the late review otl. I like your application overall, because of the amount of details that you put in almost all the different segments. Even the appearance section wow. I like the idea that she's a bit of a hypocrite despite hating change so much, and her fierce loyalty towards the other girls pinpoints what I envisioned Bargaining to be.

I like how Sehyang contrasts to the other girls in different ways, but still manages to command their attention as a fiercely protective leader. I don't have any points for you to tweak, maybe just telling me who's the faceclaim for Jinye because my knowledge about idols' is pretty weak-

Though I find it very ironic that Sehyang's incredibly old fashioned yet harbours homoual romantic interests towards Jinye. Will Sehyang ever hear a korean drama-esque apology from Jinye or will Jinye reciprocate Sehyang's feelings? We'll never know~

Overall, I like Sehyang. I like how you placed in her religious upbringing and family background, contrasting with unorthodox feelings. Even her goal to become an idol, yet giving those dreams up for her 'bonbons' is quite commendable.

Ah yeah, it's pretty hard to find applyfics where a range of ualities is accepted. I mean, it's high school. There are people who're bound to discover their own uality. I'll be putting Sehyang's profile up soon.

tl;dr: Who's Jinye's faceclaim tho-

Thanks for applying once again! c:
