So... I made a writing contest to celebrate the one year anniversary of my graphic and trailer shop. Thats just one of many reasons though...

One the reasons is because I want to reward my subscribers and encourage other writers to write, I love reading and it's somewhat disheartening to see that I rarely get any notifications for story updates... I'm possibly being a hypocrite since I don't update much lately either but like many other authors I get stressed, unmotivated and busy. So I have nothing against anyone that has been leaving aff on hold recently, honestly I totally understand you.

Another reason is because my sister and I have no use for the karma points we have accumulated, we don't plan on advertising our fics any time soon...
Rather than just give them away we're giving writers a chance to earn them.

The reason we won't need karma points has brought me to my final reason for today. Both me and my twin sister (shiningangelmel) are uni students and we've been in premed for the last two years. Lately our priorities seem to have fallen in favour of aff and our request shop, opening batches even when we're super busy and stressed. This coming year happens to be our final year of premed before both of us fall straight into our medicine degree and when that happens we both think we will be leaving aff. As this is an year away I don't know how completely we'll leave, I promise to complete my ongoing stories and maybe even upload some new ideas I've been working on but for the most part, our request shop will be shut down. I love you all my requestors and subscribers so I really hope you can understand this.

Anyway so kind of as a final hurrah we'll host this writing contest for everyone. We've never hosted any sort of writing contest before so this is all new for both of us but hey you've got to try new things.
