Eminem vs. G Dragon

Who is better?

____________

The reason why I wrote this blog is because I saw some forums and articles on soompi, saying that G Dragon is a much better rapper than Eminem. But I beg to differ because if it was not for Eminem breaking the barrier and stepping in "a predominantly coloured" music scene, musicians such as Macklemore, Iggy, and G Dragon may not be where they are. He opened the gates and showed the world that non-coloured artists can rap too.

I personally think that Eminem is better.

And here are the 10 reasons why I think he is better:

1. He is a great storyteller (Stan, Brain Damage, Mockingbird, etc).

2. He continues to grow as a stronger artist, especially now that he's less childish on the aspect of just making fun of people and focusing squarely on the music.

3. He is a walking contradiction, and that's what makes him so great. He broke colour borders by being the only prolific non-coloured rapper.

4. He's a genius lyricist, and you can hear it in every verse of his rhymes.  He's known for using metaphors, word

play, fitting loads of rhymes in just one bar and generally being a very creative writer.

5. He's absolutely real, because he acknowledges that his rap music is sometimes about guns/violence and he's cursing in every verse, but he doesn't hide that.

6. He raps about his emotions and his personal life, so the struggle was real for him. He also raps about and satirizes the hypocrisy in America with celebrities and the news sometime portray him as being.

7. All his songs are almost always about self-motivation and reaching for your goals/aspirations. He knows his image hinges on the rapper persona, but he also knows that he's doing good for people and his fans by rapping about always giving it your best in everything you strive to achieve.

8. He is willing to tell his story.   And he is always  so open about his life and the struggles that he went through. And fans can relate to certain materials he went through.

9. He grew up in the ghetto, with a mother who, in his own words 'did more drugs than he did', a father who
left him before he even got the chance to meet him. He was broke and bullied, but never stopped going after his dreams. Despite the fact that he was CONSTANTLY put down, Marshall Mathers had a dream and he didn't let go.

10. Modesty eludes most musicians, and Eminem is no exception.

GD might be a good rapper& storyteller in KR, but I think that Eminem is the GDO of rap in the whole word and I think that everyone know that. I mean, he's Eminem, neither malckemore can beat him.
