It kinda pisses me off.

I wont look down on you i just wont have respect for you or your story.

I cant stand how desperate people are to get their story populated or recongized through advertisement.

writing a story should be for pure writing not popularity contest. it also pisses me off when people are like "upvote"

they just want you to upvote so their story can get recongized or even put on the front page.

Do you know how excited i get when someone upvotes ANY of my stories without me asking them? its so euphoric. but the second someone requests people to upvote, its like.... not as fulfilling.

i believe people deserve the subs and upvotes they want FAIRLY not through advertising or requesting or bugging them on the wall.

dont get me started on advertising though.

my BIGGEST PET PEEVE

DONT APOLOGIZE FOR TAKING UP MY WALL SPACE IF YOU WERE TRULY SORRY, YOUR POST WOULDNT EVEN BE THERE!!!!

thats all.

I agree with DanceWithWolves, but I'm more about the feed back of comments than the subscribers.

I can't speak for all writers, but a lot of writers want certain types of recognition from their readers because they want to know how much of their readers enjoy their work, how much of the readership actually read the last chapter, and all sorts of things. They also want to be on the front page so that they can get more readers, not so that they can feel special or great about themselves. Writers in general are not exactly the type of people who tend to feel great about themselves, no matter what happens. They tend to be more insecure and need a lot of reassurance that they write somewhat well. So I think a lot of readers see it as "I'm not going to upvote or subscribe because you just want me to your ego" , but sometimes its not about that at all.
As for me, I no longer care whatsoever about any of the statistics on my stories or what anyone thinks of them. But that's because I recently had an extreme boost of self-esteem, and I now get my self esteem from within. I keep my stories on subscribers only simply to weed out the kind of reader who never comment or subscribe to anything, no matter how good they think it is. Because I think something is wrong with a person like that. That's just my personal opinion. & I don't want bitter readers like that. Ever. Just on general principle
