APPEARANCE » what you see is what inna is. she's like an open book that everyone can read. whether you be a stranger or not, you can immediately tell how she's feeling and what type of personality she has. there's this very popular saying, "never judge a book by it's cover." with inna, that's not the case. // she's standing on 164 cm with the weight of 48 kg. she's not too tall nor too short and she's not stick thin either. her hair looks black and lands a little past her shoulders. however when her hair is under the sun, you can clearly tell that it's actually dark brown. she has dyed her hair several times but nothing can be compared to her natural color. the thing she's most confident about is her smile - definitely something she does all the time. everytime she smiles, her double eye lidded eyes curve as well ; creating a feeling of warmth in the atmosphere. along with all of this, she has two ear piercings on both of her ears and a beauty mark on her left wrist.

inna's pretty much all in for the fashion and she has a thing for binge shopping especially shopping for shoes. the only type of shoes she doesn't shop for are heels because they always hurt her feet. her closet consists of lots of different types of clothing ranging from dresses to shorts, from shorts to sweaters. as for acessories, she's not a big fan of them except for that one pandora bracelet she wears all the time and her beanies. what she wears really depends on her mood for that day. if she's feeling tired and droopy, she'll wear something more loose like a oversized sweatshirt. if she's feeling happy, she'll go all in with her floral dresses/skirts. regardless of what she wears, she's known to be a someone that dresses nice no matter where she goes.

inna's one of those social butterflies that you see flinging herself on top of everyone; not literally but - she's one that will open up to you in a blink of an eye and the skinship will definitely be non-stop. you will always feel her arms around you as if she's known you since birth. obviously there are those moments where silence is needed, but 99% of the time, she dislikes awkward and silent atmospheres. she's always the one to bring something up in order to get people to start talking. or even if the other person doesn't talk back, she'll just constantly roll things off her tongue and annoy people. sometimes, you might not want to tell her your deepest or darkest secrets. because she can possibly and accidentally spill the beans due to her big mouth. pretty expressive, you can say. one talent of hers is expressing herself clearly - wait, no. not just clearly but crystal clear. she expresses her love to everyone like there's no tomorrow, she's never the type to beat around the bush, if she likes a guy, she'll most likely be the one to make the first move. if she thinks you're good looking, she'll tell you straight up and get you all flustered. on top of all that, she's like an open book. one whom you can read clearly. whether she's upset, happy, tired - it's all written on her face. if her face has an angry expression and you ask whether she's okay or not, don't believe her when she says she is okay because that's obviously not true. will tell you she's okay but in fact she's not. when she's upset or in a bad mood, her eyebrows are always furrowed and her lips are always slightly pursed. she sometimes even talks to herself. and she's definitely not as jumpy and happy like usual. when she's happy, she's just all over the place.
despite inna's age, she still acts like a serious child sometimes and she's definitely not one of the brightest crayon in the box. she's not afraid to jump around like a monkey, make stupid jokes and be as random as possible. she's also one of those that will take years to understand a funny joke. she's also one that's curious and wants to know about everything. she'll literally stick her face in an a + b conversation and make it an a + b + c conversation. even if there's a little button on the wall, she'll be tempted to press it. she's not afraid of people judging her because she doesn't really care about what people think of her. as long as she's true to herself and her loved ones, then she's completely fine. some people may call her haughty and really arrogant, but that's not the case. she's just really confident and she is well aware of what her talents are. other than being shameless and confident, she's also pretty naggy and overprotective. you could say that she nags about literally everything; hence, her nickname, injumma. she worries about the littlest things possible and strives to make sure everything is 100% positive/good. you should've seen her during trainee days ; whenever she got evaluated, she would over worry herself. there was this one time where she actually ran off for a day because she didn't know what to do. if she sees you with a paper cut on your finger, she might just call the ambulance and have you sent to the emergency room just to make sure you didn't cut a vessel or something. however, she doesn't do this to annoy people, she does this because she wants to make sure that you're absolutely okay and that nothing's wrong. depsite her childlike character, she knows when it's time to be serious and when it's time to get things done. for example, if she's in a variety show, she will do her best to act as professional as possible and even cover up the mistakes her group mates have done.

BACKGROUND » inna was born on january 13, 1991 in california and lived with her parents throughout all of her childhood. her dad's chinese and her mom's korean. you may say that because she's an only child, she's got everything she wanted and needed. however, her childhood wasn't all that great and fun. she loved her mom dearly but when it came to her dad - it was a completely different story. inna refused to get along with her dad because she couldn't deal with her dad's personality. he would always go to work and he wasn't really a talker but if he did talk, it was always either a complaint or a lecture that drove inna nuts. because of the pressure her dad gave her, inna grew up to be rebellious and never did well in school. she would always do things that her dad despited such as coming home late, going out to parties, etc. the things that made her happy was her mom, kang leah (her sister like best friend from childhood), and music. whenever inna's mom and best friend weren't around, she would resort to music and singing. these two things really helped her emotionally because it allowed her to relieve her tensions. without music in her life, she wouldn't know how to control her emotions.
the more inna's dad refused her to do something, the more she would do it and the more challenges she would have to take. one thing she shared with her father is the personality trait of being stubborn. she never payed attention to a single thing her father said. other than her love for music, her dad being a dictator and saying no to everything was also one of the reasons why she had to leave home. eighteen was the age where everyone was considered adults - once inna reached the age of 18, she left home with leah and flew to korea with the approval of her mom. once they got to korea, leah was eventually scouted into jyp as a trainee. however, inna was still on the look out for a perfect opportunity. during her wait for a chance to audition, she uploaded many different types of covers on youtube. sometimes she would get negative feedback and sometimes she would get positive ones. however, she never gave up. she never refused to challenge herself. after waiting a little over half a year, she successfully managed to get herself into yg. she finally achieved her goal, her dream.
TRAINING » after the first audition, inna finally recieved her acceptance letter. the sight of this letter literally brought her to tears. she was finally able to do prove her dad wrong and most imporantly, she was finally able to do something she really wanted to do. her specialty and strength was rapping and singing - the two things that got her to successfully become a yg trainee. dancing wasn't really her forte because she wasn't smooth enough and she was always stiff. but she knew that it was something she definitely had to improve.
during inna's trainee days, she met different types of people and endured different types of situations that ranged from good to bad and bad to good. some people she met were two faced and some were extremely friendly. some people assisted her while some ignored her. the mentors were also really strict and it felt like she was practicing every second of her life. to improve her dancing, she was also pushed to learn different types of choreography and become back up dancers for k-pop groups that have already debuted as a form of training. being stubborn was something that killed her relationship with her dad but it was also something that managed her way through her trainee years. her trainee years weren't easy. they were full of tears, sweat, and different kinds of hardships. not only that but throughout her trainee years, she was unable to contact her mom and leah. however, she eventually got the chance to debut after 4 and a half years of training. she finally made it to where she wanted to be.

hakyeon is one cheerful and playful guy with a unique sense of humor that'll knock your brains out. he's always throwing jokes at people and he never fails to make people laugh. with him, there's no such thing as a silent or awkward moment. his mouth is always running and he never runs out of things to say. everyday, he has a different story or different joke to tell people. even his group mate, leo, thinks he's annoying. he definitely is a person with loads and loads of confidence. he walks with his back straight and his head held high, showing off his dancing and vocal skills just like that.
hakyeon's the complete opposite of shy and introverted. he's a huge social butterfly and he never fails to make new friends. his list of friends just gets longer and longer. hakyeon is really strong and isn't the type of person to break down. he lives a life with no regrets and he's also the type of person to move on from things quite easily and doesn't hold a grudge. he's mentioned in a variety show that his ideal type is snsd's seohyun but that will definitely change once he meets inna.

hakyeon was known to resemble seo in guk, appearance wise. but he never knew that there was someone who acted like him. the first time he heard of inna was when he was in a korean variety show called weekly idol. it was a special episode and vixx were invited to the show that day. during that time, vixx were still promoting their sixth single, voodoo doll. while they were reading/updating the members' profiles, defcon (one of the hosts) mentions inna as they were reading hakyeon's profile. not only was he surprised but he actually wanted to become friends with inna.
during this time, inna had absolutely no idea who vixx was. even though she has already became scarlet's official member - it was only the beginning and there were many different types of things that had to be handled and done. however, coincidentally they met during a snowy and cold day in starbucks. hakyeon was the first to strike up a conversation because the moment he saw her, he knew who she was. because of their starbucks moment, that was the start of their relationship. it wasn't long until the both opened up to each other - but because one's female and one's male, some type of restriction had to be made. regardless of this, inna became hakyeon's first female best friend and hakyeon became inna's first male best friend.
