HaeYun is awkward and shy when it comes to meeting people and encountering new places for the first time. She becomes nervous and clumsy, which makes her afraid to make mistakes. So mostly she chooses to say or do nothing at all, and that's why strangers often assume that she's a quiet girl. But they don't know how wrong they are... 'Cause after a few moments of being silent and finally deciding that she can't stay like this, HaeYun makes her "comeback" by blurting out any random sentence that comes in her mind (she holds the "world record of strangest meetings with people").
So yes, that's HaeYun. Weird, strange, blunt, shy and clumsy.
Oh God, her clumsiness, do I really have to talk about that? Well, she has two left feet, a mouth which doesn't know what "closed" is and the weirdest, craziest mind in the universe. Many often wonder how a person like her could exist, or if she could possibly be the proof of aliens on earth.. Everything you wouldn't expect her to do or say, she manages to do anyway. Whether it's wearing a pair of different socks, telling people about that hideous pimple on their nose or tripping over a ladybug. She all manages to do it.
There's one strange thing about her clumsiness: she doesn't seem to be bothered by it when she's pulling pranks on others. In fact, she isn't clumsy at all then! All her pranks are on point and always succeed. She's very proud at that.
One thing HaeYun isn't exactly proud of is her personality, she thinks she's embarrassing (which she is) and too awkward around strangers. But then, you may ask, why doesn't she stop acting so weird all the time? The problem is... That isn't so easy for her.
Being a blunt and impulsive person, she can't control her actions. She doesn't think before handling, she just acts how she is.
This makes her a very honest person, and also one who can't hold shut when someone tells her a secret. It causes a lot of problems between her and her friends, but in the end she always gets away with it because she such a excellent moodmaker. She always knows a way to make her friends happy, acting a little bit more crazy than usual always seems to help.
HaeYun might be a bit boyish to others, but she's working on getting more girly every day. The main reason for that is that she doesn't want people to get a bad image of her. She isn't very confident around other people. The only moment she can really be herself is when she's around her friends.
Around friends and family she's the kind of girl to make everyone laugh and smile. She's a real prankster who always gets away with it. She's playful, witty, cheerful, friendly and... still clumsy.
Friends with it all the time, something that she doesn't like at all! HaeYun is easily annoyed, hates getting teased (but loves teasing others) and can be really impatient.
She always shows and says what she thinks, and has no intention in hiding her feelings (since she's blunt, like stated before). People she doesn't like will know! And people she likes will be stalked and followed by her all day long, like how a puppy follows its owner.
So, yes, HaeYun can be a little bit too annoying (another tactic of her to friends).
But besides of all of that, she is a happy-go-lucky girl who works hard in the group and on stage. There, she's always smiling and being positive, but, of course, fans are still always able to spot her "4D-ness".

BACKGROUND » 
HaeYun was born at 12 May 1995. Unfortunately, her mother passed away while giving birth to her. That's why her father gave her the name HaeYun, it's a mix of both her parents' names.
HaeYun's mother, HaeNa, was a dancer who wanted to make it in America. She moved to the US at the age of 22, were she met HaeYun's father YunSeok, who had been living there for a few years then. They fell in love and moved together to Seoul, since HaeNa's career as a dancer was less successful than she expected it to be.
After marrying, they got a son, SungJoo. And three years later HaeYun was born.
Because HaeYun grew up without a mother, she was the only woman in the household. She learnt to cook and clean at a very young age and became very independent because of it.
Growing up with no other females around her, HaeYun developed a boyish attitude. She was always playing with her brother and his friends, pulling pranks on the neighbors and all kinds of other things. Many people said that she was more a boy than a girl, which is one of the main reasons why HaeYun didn't make a lot of friends at primary school.
The girls especially didn't like her because she was not like them, she was not girly enough. But luckily, HaeYun made a lot of boy friends. She was popular among them because she was brave and not so cowardly and girly like most of the girls.
When HaeYun was ten, she began dancing at a little dance school in the neighborhood, after discovering that she inherited the talent of her mom. There, she made her first girl friend. Her name was Moon ByulYi, a two years older, boyish girl with almost the same personality as her. They quickly became best friends and learnt that they would be going to the same high school.
Because HaeYun didn't want to be bullied again by other girls, she started to act more girly and do more girl stuff. She began to love fashion and make-up, and started to pay more attention to music.
One day, ByulYi told her that she wanted to become a kpop idol, or more specific, a rapper. HaeYun really admired ByulYi for her talent in rapping, and dancing. Soon, she also decided to try rapping. She discovered a hidden talent 'cause it turned out that HaeYun could rap very well!
So the two best friends made a deal: they would do an audition at a company and become real kpop idols. HaeYun was extremely excited, it was her dream to become a rapper and a dancer, to make the same dream that her mother had come true.
When HaeYun was 14 she auditioned, together with ByulYi, at a company named WA Entertainment. But unfortunately, only ByulYi got accepted. A few months later, HaeYun tried again. This time she auditioned for JYP Entertainment (because she liked their music the most), and she made it in.

TRAINING »
Trainee life for HaeYun was difficult, of course. But from the start on she made a promise with herself: enjoy everything as much as possible and be more happier! So that's exactly what she did, she had fun, worked hard to improve and even made some friends.
She was always busy and that's why she didn't have much time free to be with her family and ByulYi, who she did kept in touch with. It made her sometimes feel down, and her father and brother noticed it, so they cheered her up whenever they could.
After a few years of training, HaeYun really improved at rapping and singing. She also became friends with many other trainees, something that she never expected. She realized that being happy all the time and making others smile really paid off.
On top of it all, she discovered her new favorite hobby: pulling pranks on others! She noticed that the mood often was kind of strict and gloomy when everyone had to work hard, so she decided to brighten things up. And what's better than making jokes at those moments? Soon after, HaeYun became well known for her infamous pranks. Some people didn't really like it and she got in trouble for it a lot. But luckily there were others who actually appreciated her efforts to cheer everyone up.
Besides her pranks and jokes, HaeYun also kept on working hard to improve her skills, probably one of the only moments where she was really serious. But she was happy, and that's everything that matters, right? And then, after four years of hard work, the company finally revealed that she would debut in a new girl group!

LIKES »                                                                                                                                                               - Dancing, it's a way to express herself, to let out her emotions. The same goes for rapping (and singing). She wants to inspire other people through music, and let them feel any kind of emotions.                               - Fashion, even though she only started to pay attention to it to become more girly, she actually started to really like it. Now it's one of the most important things of her life.                                                                       - Being the prankster. Teasing, joking around, playing pranks on people and more. HaeYun is the queen at it, as it is one of her hobbies she does when the group is having a break between work.                                - GOT7 (or EXO, depends on love interest), HaeYun is a secret fan of them. But she doesn't dare to tell anyone because she knows they will with it once they find out, something she absolutely wants to prevent from happening. RELATIONSHIP » 
Jackson and HaeYun met in their trainee days. Luckily for HaeYun, the way they met wasn't one of the weirdest meetings she had with people. That would be really embarrassing. But anyway, shall I tell how they met? Fine.
The two met in one of the practice rooms, where Jackson was busy dancing. He hadn't noticed that HaeYun entered the room and was looking at his dancing. And here it comes: at some point at the dance HaeYun suddenly blurted out "You're a zombie!", because she thought that one of Jackson's parts in his dance resembled a walking zombie. Jackson, who had heard her turned around in shock, since he didn't know that there had been someone watching him. And when it dawned on him what she had just said he looked at her in confusing. After HaeYun tried to explain why she said that (and failing miserably at it) Jackson could laugh about it. They introduced each other and quickly became good friends.
Okay, I guess it was a kind of embarrassing meeting after all. But well, still much less embarrassing as her other ones! (Yeah they are that weird...).
Anyways, Jackson and HaeYun have similar personalities; they both love dancing, rapping, making jokes and having fun. Thanks to HaeYun, Jackson became a real prankster and together they are 'famous' for their pranks and jokes. Not something that they would have expected from Jackson (even though he's funny as hell), so everyone blames HaeYun for it, which she finds unfair. Jackson always teases her with it, and claiming to be innocent himself. So HaeYun calls him the devil, since he's far from innocent.
But aside from the jokes, they also have serious conversations sometimes. Those are the times that they really can talk about their problems, work and other stuff. Jackson and HaeYun really understand each other and always  lend each other support and help. 
 
ENDING » Jackson and HaeYun become closer after she debuts, because he supports her and pulls her through the hard times, since he already has some experience in being an idol. Without knowing it, they both fall in love with each other. Jackson is the first to realize (HaeYun is oblivious of her feeling for him because she's kinda innocent when it comes to love), and also the first to confess. HaeYun gets shocked, because she didn't realize his feelings for her. She needs time to think and eventually comes to the conclusion that she likes him too.
