Background— she live with a family of three. her mum herself a older brother. Her father have leave them really long ago when she's 4 and rest in peace in heaven. Lauren can't remember her father as she was too young when her father died. Her mum was a working as a cashier in a convenient store. Her family were poor and because of that Lauren studied really hard so that she can get a scholarship and go to a better school but that's what she doesn't want. her dream is to be an artist. She ask her mum what if she audition for an entertainment woud her mum let it. Her mum reply her that whatever lauren did,, she will appreciate it and cheer for her. And by this she ask her mum permission to audition for an entertainment which is SM. After several round of audition lauren was chosen and get a free ticket to korea and be a trainee there. before the flight to korea, she bid her mum annd her older brother goodbye. after arriving in korea, thats when her life is an trainee to be an artist started.
