-Ano Hana: about a group of childhood friends. It makes you very emotional and you might even cry. It's pretty short, I think 11 episodes.
-Another: horror. Again it's short, less than 15 eps for sure. I loved the artstyle, it's really great visual-wise. It also gives you chills, unless you're some sort of robot.
-Full Metal Alchemist: this is really one of my fav anime ever. There's also FMA Brotherhood but I still didn't finish it, it's not a sequel though, it's the second version of the anime which is loyal to the manga 'til the end. So I can only recommend you the original series.
-Attack on Titan: waiting for the 2nd season. It's pretty popular and it's fairly new, it started in 2013.

i just finished haikyuu!! and aldnoah zero and i thoroughly enjoyed them. my old favs are the usual code geass, full metal alchemist, fruits basket, ouran host club, kaleido star and xxxHOLIC and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles :)
