Fate is determined when a star crosses the night's sky, and the freshly born cubs are named. They are handed a necklace to match their spirit. Only if they find the person whose necklace is identical to theirs can they find happiness.
However, at certain times, life isn't that simple. Some people have to fight for their happiness, alpha and omega alike. They have to suffer before finally, their soul can rest: and they can live in peace.
Winter had come, which meant that once more, the pack had moved to a nearby town. This time, it was tiny with only two shops and a cemetery, one where the homeless would spend their night. Chanyeol had once joked about how they were already visiting their last home to get used to it. Albeit his comment had been somewhat dark, the entire pack had erupted in a fit of snickers at that time, simply because they couldn't imagine the life of the poor.
However, something changed when a soft knock was heard by the sharp ears of many. It was Sehun who headed there, curious and somewhat enraged that someone had dared to disturb their peaceful day.
"P..please...just open it..." a tiny mumble,weak and shaky was what made his breathe hitch, pity quickly flaring up in his cold heart.
He flung the door open, ready to send whoever was in front of it back to where they had come from. However, his eyes widened in disbelief as they were met with a pleading gaze, shaking him to the core.
