Awareness Campaign: A Day Without Light

"A Day Without Light" is an awareness campaign of the blind people. I found that some of people are so ing selfish about themselves and they don't a damn to blind people. What kind of world is this?

My friends (soroue and exowriter) and I have agreed to do this campaign (exowriter and I are schoolmates). This campaign was inspired by our blind friend, A. She's a friend from our school. We've seen how she struggle in this kind of place where most of people neglected her, as a human.

There was one day where one of the music teacher treat her like a trash. The students were suppose to take a test and since A can't see anything, the teacher said it was non of her business that she's blind. Instead of guiding her, she tossed the test paper right in front of her as if she can see. A, the blind girl told me that she felt insulted by the teacher.

Second, the first day she came into this school, the music dean have made promise. He promised that he'll help A through her time here in this school but what we've seen is nothing. We lived in dorminatory, but there's no special facilities for her.

Third, there's a day where she really need to go to the hospital. She went to the SA (Student Affair) office and asked for a help because they said they can send students to government hospital or clinic. But when she asked for a help, the SA staff said they will not send her to hospital and once again they said that it was't their business that she's blind.

Those people, they don't understand what does blind people feel. Yes, they may see everything but what if one day one of their family members or themselves are suddenly blind, what would they feel? I bet they would be frustrated, stress and sad. What if other people treat their family members or themselves as crap? Would they feel insulted? Of course, they would feel all those kind of feel.

The reason why I created this campaign because I want to inculcate the awareness into the society around the world. You and I wouldn't get any payment by doing this. I know and I acknowledge it but I just want those people out there who are being selfish, think about those disable people.

I'll try to do it if I'm not busy with school work and also tell my friends I really care for special people and I wouldn't want to be treated like that if I was one of the special people

I GOING TO DO IT
I know the feeling for blind people, I've seen it happen on the bus and I usually help them if I can because I feel really bad for them. People think that just because they have that stick they are alright but they aren't, some people I have seen walk deliberately in front of them to see if they move or not but when they don't they bump into them and fall. It's wrong and sad, a lot of them don't want people to pity them but I always feel a tinge of guilt or pity for them.
It's sad how the world is~
