First glance, people would believe Celine is a pretentious, uptight girl with a superiority complex. But if you are at part of her circle of close friends, you would actually know there's more depth to her than her pretty face and what she allows others to see.
First of all, Celine is known as an ambitious go-getter. She is a dreamer like most young girls her age, but she is different in the sense that she just doesn't dream. She makes her impossible, possible. She actually hates the word "impossible". She believes that if you work hard enough, what ever you want, will happen. It may take a while to happen, but she believes that all depends on how hard you work. Celine is a firm believer of working until you literarally fall out and die. She tends think in this tense mindset because she has always needed to prove herself to her peers because of her "inferiority complex" pertaining to her skin color and ethnicity. Therefore, Celine has been feeling like this since such a young age. Which followed her into high school where she was the senior class president, stayed on the honor roll, and was the leader of a lot of clubs that her school offered. Now, Celine doesn't necessarily feel inferior, but growing up she had such a bad experience with people not excepting her for who she is, so naturally she just had to shift her ways in order to seem like she is apart of something and not an outsider. She doesn't stress about proving herself and cry at night about it, but her personality shifted this way because of her experiences that she doesn't even remember.
But going back to that society-created "inferiority complex", this also contributes negatively to her personality. Many of her female friends, or just acquaintances, say that she is an attention-seeker. Okay, she's not a major that likes to flirt with a bunch of guys at once, but she does come off that way. She somehow has a flirtatious personality towards her guy friends. She doesn't mean to seem that way, it just happens. When she hears her friends testify that she seems to seek guys' attentions, she doesn't believe it that way. She just thinks that when she first meet people, whether it is a boy or a girl, she acts the same way. She claims that girls just can't recognize her so called "flirty nature" because she isn't into the same . Not only is she unintentionally flirty, but her attention-seeking ways are demonstrated through her stage presence, or whenever it has to do with work. Celine admits she loves being in the spotlight. It has been her dream since she was young. That's why she worked so hard to form the powerful voice she has. She plans to be really popular and well known. She really likes being the center of talk, it makes her feel special and loved for who she is, regardless of color or ethnicity (although Celine doesn't make that correlation of her personality to her experiences).
Despite her seemingly uptight and "show-off" type self, she also has an adventurous, fun side to her. Not everything in life is about hardwork. Every now and then, she can be the fun one, crazy one amongst her group and friends. When the trainee lineup for the new group started training as the four of them together, the other members (especially the older ones) would almost die of exhaustion and would think of giving up. But because of Celine's attitude towards going after she wants, despite her own tired state, she would be the one to suggest they do something crazy wild in order to boost their spirits. She would be that girl, despite her seemingly distant outside look. Every now and then, she likes having fun on a grander and wilder scale.
Although she likes having fun and can joke around whenever, her mood can change from zero to a hundred real quick. For no apparent reason, she can be very smiley and giggly, then on second she can have a straight face on and could be mistaken as the meaniest person in the world. Many people describe her as bipolar, but it's not as intricate and exact as that. For example, one moment she can be on a variety show talking laughing and friendly joking along with the members and MCs, then in an instant she can come back with a sharp, blunt response that many people take as a joke, but she is actually so serious. She is also super short-temepered. You hit a hard spot, and she won't cry, she will ruin you. This didn't help a lot growing up in school as someone would make fun of her, but not only that, but also talk about her family, she wouldn't hesitate to fight you. No matter who you are. But as she grew up into an adult, she calmed herself down a bit and her anger would be subsided with a few yoga breathings and her blunt, mean, and unexpected comebacks. She an be the angel of the devils.
On top of everything, people like to describe Celine as completely sophisticated. She is sophisticated in every way. She shows off this look of "I'm-too-good-for-you". When really most of the times she is just really ambitious, and seems to always have her eye on the prize. Sometimes both. She not only thinks in a sophisticated manner, but she looks the part too. When she and the girls appear on variety shows, she likes to sit with great posture, one leg crossed over another, and arms folded nicely. She also unconsciously keeps one eyebrow slightly up, making her appearance scary and intimidating. If some of the members try to prank her or do something silly when she isn't in the mood, she wouldn't laugh it off like a good player, she would have a straight face planted on her tan skin with a tapping foot just waiting for an explanation and an apology, like a sour loser. Many compare her to the leader of KARA, Park Gyuri, because she gives off this confident and beautiful aura making her seem stuck up.
But to be honest, Celine isn't really like that. She may seem like it, but she has a very dynamic character which tends to make her seem very moody. But she doesn't try hard, it's all natural.

They grew up with each other since 3rd grade, both being the foreigners. They never had to establish their relationship, they just automatically knew to sit next to each other at the lunch table because of their commonalities. As they grew older they just started knowing each other in and out after many hang outs at each other's home after school and their many shopping dates. Kwon Eunkyung, or most commonly known as Celine Kwon, was born on a chilly, fresh morning of April 18th, 1993 to two loving parents. She was born in Queens, New York City by a half Korean, half Black father, and a a fully Chinese mother. But she didn't get to experience her American lifestyle much as she moved to her father's birthplace, S-E-O-U-L, South Korea. Growing up, she did kind of had a rough childhood. No, not because her family was poor, they were actually well off and she was spoiled as an only child. And no, she has no tragic background or sob story, but she was bullied. That sounds so cliche, but keep in mind she was so multi-cultural that she looked so different from everyone in Korea. In elementary school, it was to the point where people didn't even want to sit by her except for one person. People would call her unneccesary and hurtful names like Blackie or Blacktastic, although she had more of a tan skin color. The idea of different races or skin tones was so foreign to people, especially back then with her growing up. In Korea, everybody was the same. But she brought a new light to the world in being unique.
In middle school, she would use those experiences that she can't even remember to form her personality. She started being ambitious so that she didn't have to be inferior. She had great grades, she had to be the class president every single years (or that's what she aimed for), she worked exceptionally hard in her performing arts studies during her trainee life. It made her be come a well-rounded person. Although this bullying did have a bad effect. As she got older, and people would taunt a little bit, she will get so offended to the point that she would blow her top off and maybe even tackle someone. Yeah, she has a bad temper. But she wouldn't physically hurt somebody, it's just that it gets to her and she would and normally have gotten people back for it. Because everybody and herself, knew that she loved to dance and ocassionally sing (she would sing all the time at school and took dance lessons at a local studio), her friends and her parents pushed her to audition for the biggest entertainment company in the country, SM Ent. And she didn't disagree or put up a fight as she was confident in her skills and artistic achievements. But she knew how prejudice and careful of visuals SM was (is still) and has been called out for this as recently three members of DBSK left as well as Hangeng of Super Junior. She was surprised that she got a callback audition after her first mediocre audition in early 2009, or at least that's what her self-criticizing self said. Her long years of improvement and achievement started from there.

trainee life: Celine's trainee life was a bit hard for her not because of the actual training, but the discrimination. Okay, well it wasn't too dramatic, but people did tend to make fun of her thinking it was just mindless jokes. Normally, they would say offensive things like, "Go back to America, Blackie" or "You are barely Korean, what the hell are you trying to be a Korean Idol?" or "Do you even know Korean?" Actually, everytime a taunt was thrown at her, she would use it toward her advantage and blow them away with her talent every monthly evaluation and practice. But that was in SM, after about two years and three months in SM, she got transferred to one of the other Big Three, JYP, for god knows why. But she basically spent 11 months and a couple of days in JYP and she wasn't as bullied, if you even would call it that. She had a lot more friends in JYP because the people were a lot nicer, and especially because JYP is known for housing a lot of foreigners trying to make their dreams happen. She became friends mainly with the GOT7 boys, more Jackson and Mark, but she is friendly with the others. She then willingly left JYP, as she knew plans to debut a girl group wasn't going to happen soon, and decided to do open auditions for Woolim, knowing that each year there is a rumor about making Infinite's sister group, but never happens because the lack of female trainees. With her resume and skills, they took her with open arms. She didn't make close friends for real because she knew this would be her last hope to debut and she wasn't going to waste a lot of time. Overall, her skills improved greatly. When she first entered SM, her dancing skills were pretty good, good enough to be a Sub-Dancer and her singing was already very well structured and stable. But throughout all her years of training, by the time she entered Woolim, she was an amazing dancer, shocking must people who watch her. Like, how does she move like that? She mastered her unique flow to other's choreography and learned how to control the movement of certain parts of her body. Her singing improved beautifully. Instead of it just being stable and mediocre, she increased her range and can sing somewhat in the soprano range. She learned how to use her diaphragm better to make her voice sound deeper and sultry. She actually really loved her trainee days as it shaped her into the well-rounded artist she is today.

comments: I love that you are letting them debut with One More because that was my jam over the summer. I hope that it's okay, I went a little overboard on the ethnicity, but I really wanted to make her so unique and different that it would be shocking to the average kpop idol and Korean citizen. So I hope you enjoy. oh and I also hope you don't mind, but I don't wish to have Ravi as a love interest, but I just want one or two scenes that addresses Ravi's infatuation with her. I also hope when you read the personality, that you don't get confused. I wanted her past experiences of being bullied and feeling like an outsider based only on her skin color and her parents to reflect her personality and why she tends to be the way she is. I mean that's what really happens to us as humans, but we just know it. I don't explain her personality through her eyes, but I explain through an observers' eyes. I demonstrate why she is the way she is with specific examples of her childhood, but these aren't reasons that she remembers or has reflected upon. You know?
