40 Questions for Fic Writers

Found it on a blog on tumblr a while ago owo thought I should do it! Just something little for fun :3
PS: I'll update Maze of Memories soon. I got the first chapter pretty much done, but I think I will write some more for the second chapter, so you won't have to wait for long!

1. Describe your comfort zone
woogyu (and any boyxboy ship I’m comfortable with)

2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
I guess I’d love to write A/B/O hehe ;~;

3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
Genderswitch (JESUS THEY ARE MALE. DON’T FEMANIZE THEM AND TAG IT )…and you-fics in general ><

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
One-Shots alone I have like 5 on my mind right now…fox!Gyu (continued from the drabble on my ask), vampire!gyu, mermaid!gyu and the AKMU-Melted song-fic (did I mention ALL WOOGYU lol.)
Maze of Memories (my Myunggyu ;; WHEN WILL I EVER START IT SOB)
Read between the Lines (Ltady prequel, GOD, when will I write THAT one LIKE EVER ;; )

5. Share one of your strengths.
Hmm…woogyu in general? I don’t know if I’m better at angst or fluff, though I like to think I’m good with angst.

6. Share one of your weaknesses.
Deciding on which fic to write, which sometimes results in some getting pushed behind for months and others popping up and finishing in a day. I’m sorry for keeping people waiting ;_;

7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Sunggyu tells him everything from the teddy bear to the dog and of course the painting. He explains the story between every little memory that is lying on the glass table. He speaks about it like he’s telling a story about his own grandchildren who are playing in the park. He smiles, he laughs, he the items from time to time. (Restless Fingers – it is my favorite story still and I like that paragraph, because it shows how deep Sunggyu’s obsession with stealing is and how he thinks there is really nothing wrong with it etc.)

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

“Yah, Lee Howon! Put it all in!”

“It doesn’t fit! It’s already filled to the brim! Ah! This is such a mess!”

“Finally! Move it, Hoya! Faster!”

“I’m already using the fastest pace! You want it to break?!”

“No! I don’t want juices all over me!”

Woohyun stared at the wooden door with a shocked expression. How can they be so loud while… He gulped and pondered about throwing the key in the mailbox instead. He shouldn’t interrupt their session. Their conversation made him blush and Woohyun wasn’t sure if he wanted to know what exactly they were doing inside. It sounded like they were going at each other like animals and it didn’t help that a weird electronic noise could be heard.

The noise stopped. “Oh god, let me taste it! Take it out!”

“Do it yourself, Woo. I’m exhausted.”

(from Breaking the Silence obviously! I’m proud of how clever I was to make up this very wrong sounding conversation XD)

9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
Don’t Save Me (lol. It was hard! I got stuck so often not able to decide what to write)

10. Which fic has been the easiest to write?
Breaking the Silence – probably because I had the main story planned out and I got so many comments that motivated me to update and continue J it was a really fluffy story and I had a lot of support, so it was the easiest!

11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?
Passion ;3; wish I can be a ‘real’ author one day, but right now it’s more of a hobby

12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
Any episode with Woogyu is inspiring lol

13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
I’ve never looked for any, so idk o_o” I think most people advise you to write down your complete ideas first, like the characters, places and such, before you start writing, but I never do that so idk if it’s good or not =_=”

14. What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?
Idk D:?

15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
Breaking the Silence, though Façade would be nice too…

16. If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be?
woogyu lol

17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
from start to finish xD because I change my mind about a million times while writing, so the future scenes change as well

18. Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?
nope

19. Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse?
woogyu is my muse /laughs

20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
the right music, a quiet surrounding and a keyboard to type on

21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
just once most of the time (sorry ;; )

22. Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style.
I don’t think my writing style changed much ;;

23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
I’m doing it for BtS, you all know why, because I’m printing it XD

24. Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?
nope

25. What do you look for in a beta?
Don’t really have one xD sometimes I let people read the stories, before I upload them, but not to look for typos. I just want someone to tell me “hey! I love it <3 the story is great!”

26. Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?
Yes, the sloppy kind lol

27. How do you feel about collaborations?
I’d love to do one someday, but no one wants to work with me /loner ramen/

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
orange_one – all of her stories are great ;_; she’s a genius!

aquariuslover – another genius. Sweet Deception is the bible of all woogyu fics!

dainuhsoar – her fics always have something special that make you think “wow, how did she think of that? how is her brain working??” in a good way

29. If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
This is hard ;< I guess I’d love to continue Eogiyadiya, but I’m not orange, so I won’t try >3<

30. Do you accept prompts?
Yes, on my ask! For drabbles or One-Shots

31. Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?
I don’t really care much about it o-o I have some fics where I try to be close to the real Infinite (like Don’t Save Me the group dynamics or little details in one-shots like favorite colors or character traits, etc.)

32. How do you feel about ?
I love reading it hehe. And I recently started writing it too. I’m not that good, but people like it so far, so I’m content!

33. How do you feel about crack?
It’s funny XD

34. What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?
Well, it depends on the fic…I would never support it irl, but I must admit there is something dark and exciting about reading about it ;; (I’m a psychopath)

35. Would you ever kill off a canon character?
maybe?

36. Which is your favorite site to post fic?
AFF. AO3 is great, but I feel more at home on AFF and I need comments to survive, which you almost never got on AO3. And I like the site a bit better when it comes to posting a fic. AO3 is too complicated for me T^T

37. Talk about your current wips.
Well, Maze of Memories, obviously. It will be angsty with some touches of fluff, but it’s a serious topic and once again Sunggyu is seriously ‘sick’. I wanted to write something with memory loss, but not the usual stuff that everyone has read already – with someone getting into an accident, forgetting stuff and then remembering it etc. ==” I hope I’ll give the myunggyu readers a special experience with lots of tears /gomen/

38. Talk about a review that made your day.
Oh, so many. Actually, every comments makes my day. Long comments are the best of course, but I’m always moved when I look through tumblr or google and find random people putting my fic in their woogyu recommendation list ;;  (thank you!)

39. Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
nothing yet! I had someone calling me misogynistic, but that wasn’t meant as rude I think…

40 Write an alternative ending to [insert fic title] (or just the summary of one).
Façade – what I would’ve written, almost: Yongguk gets killed by Woohyun. He lands in the hospital first and then prison. Sunggyu never forgives him, of course, and Woohyun is shattered beyond repair. (And Soyou dies)
