APPEARENCE. kotori is often seen wearing contacts. yes, she wears colored contracts, and no, she doesn't need them. she mostly wears them believe she believes they are more pretty than her normal dark brown eyes - like really. she finds her blackish eyes rather boring, so she tends to cover them. usually seen wearing gray contacts, she also changes the color based upon what her color scheme is for the day. as for piercings, kotori only has her normal lobe piercings one each side. she isn't that big into body modifications, but that's mostly because she's a model and her old company always told her that she should keep her body clean; although she's no longer with that comapny, she still heeds their words.
STYLE. her style is very feminine. you will never catch kotori wearing sweats, and it's rare to even see her in jeans. whenever she goes out, she always makes sure to dress her best. her style revolves around frills, bows, lace, and pastel colors. she loves blouses, tank tops, skirts, shorts, dresses, anything that shows off her feminine charms. kotori really doesn't mind how revealing her clothing gets - how short her skirts are, nor how low her shirts go. she's perfectly comfortable with her body, so if the clothing is cute, she'll wear it no matter how tight or revealing it might end up being. okay, so she really loves accessories. like, to her, you coud never have too much accessories, so needless to say, she tends to pile them on. i mean, she makes it work, but she wears countless bracelets, rings on each finger, along with some fingertip rings, at least three necklaces, an anklet, and basically all her accessories match what colors she is wearing for the day. kotori is rather addicted to boots. she really loves wearing boots like it'll be middle of summer and she'll wear boots with short shorts and tank top because wow she really wants to wear boots.

PERSONALITY.
   — aida kotori. you've seen her name in the news, or in your favorite magazine, but you've never truly gotten to know her. just by looking at her, it's easy to tell she's very feminine and elegant in how she carries herself. however, she has an air of confidence aout her that can easily get on the nerves of many. it's not that she's over-confident, but she does emit a confidence that she earned after her years of being in the public's eye. even though she says what she feels, she still does so with such elegance that will make you believe it's okay. her actions are always so graceful and precise. she's someone who is disciplined. she'll hardly every give into temptation and knows exactly how to control herself. when it comes to dieting, kotori will stick to the diet the best because she knows how to refuse any junk food, no matter how much she craves it. you see, kotori is a collected individual. she has a calm and composed attitude and it's rare to ever get her mad. if you insult her, she'll calmly take a breath and try to see why you'd insult her - she'll try to understand your point of view rather than lashing back. there's also the fact that kotori is extremely loyal. she won't talk behind your back, nor would she do anything that would potentially hurt your relationship. she values loyalty more than anything else, so she portrays exactly how she would wish to be treated. 
   — you should know that kotori is very, very touchy feely. she really has no sense of personal space and won't hesitate to get in 'your bubble.' she's always used to being very close to people physically, so she honestly doesn't mind how close you get to her. heck, you could lay yourself on top of her and she'll just carry on like nothing happened. well, the fact is, kotori much prefers close contact. due to this, she's very insistent on skinship. another aspect of kotori is the fact she's shameless. she'll say anything in public, whether it be indecent or lewd, she honestly doesn't care. she's herself and doesn't care much about her public image. she would rather be herself and have fun then always be worried about how she is portrayed.  she is also shameless in the fact of her body, obviously. even if there is a camera in the room, she'll still get undressed while the camera crew has to censor her out later on. she is easily effected by things others find gross or erted and usually takes things such as those with a straight face. due to kotori knowing about idol life, she's become a very strict female. she was chosen as the leader of xeno for a reason you know. that reason is due to her experience and strict nature when it comes to taking the lead. she's strict, yet caring when it comes to helping others improve. she knows how idols or celebrities are treated, so she tries her best to help other prep for such a life. she only expects the best from anyone if they dare pursue that life.

LIKES.
   — pocky ; the japanese snack, yes. she is always trying out the different flavors and sharing them with the other members. her favorite are the almond crush pocky.
   — korean music ; even though she's japanese, she does appreciate korean music such as kpop, k-indie, k-hiphop. she's always been interested in the korean culture, since she was young.
   — pokemon ; yes she likes pokemon. she doesn't play the games or anything because no time, but she does watch the animated series whenever she wakes up early. she also owns an impressive pokemon plush collection.
   — the morning sky ; she thinks it's beautiful to watch the sunrise, so she tends to wake early just to watch it. she likes watching the sun peak over the horizon and paint the clouds soft colors.

   — beauty standards ; okay, so just because she doesn't look like the typical beauty doesn't mean she's not beautiful. she believes all girls are beautiful no matter how different they look. she's very open in terms of appearence.

TRIVA.
   — since their trainee days, she's shared a room with son daeyeong. even after they debuted, kotori states she wants to continue rooming with daeyeong. together, their room is filled with various plushes to the point you cannot see the ground (or anything for that matter). kotori collects pokemon plushes, whereas daeyeong collects food plushes.
   — daeyeong and kotori's room - lovingly called ToDae's room - has no actual furniture due to the collection of plushes. they had to arrange their room numerous times to make room for the growing collection. after all of the changes, they opted to simply buy one large totoro bed, which they both sleep in together.
   — when asked about her ideal type, kotori will casually shrug off the question while trying to direct it to someone else, however, if you force her to answer, she'll say her "ideal type is someone like son daeyeong" while being serious, yet smiling sweetly. if you ask more specifically, like what kind of guy she likes, she'll say she appreciates if someone could give her a relationship like how she has with daeyeong.
   — she carries around a medium-sized pikachu plush with her everywhere. if xeno has to take a plane everywhere, fans will take photos of their airport fashion, and there will be kotori's pikachu being held affectionately in her arms.
   — kotori is a big fan of after schools' raina. more than often, she'll fangirl over how great raina is, but will end up being slapped by daeyeong due to jealousy. kotori is also a big fan of jung joon young, but isn't as hardcore about him as raina.
   — appeared on we got married: global edition with shinee's key in the beginning of 2014, but filimg was actually late 2013, when she was still known as a model. although she was still a trainee at the time, kahi advised it would be a good way to garner attention to kotori and the upcoming girl group that kahi had in mind. after the show, fans of key did research on kotori and found out she was actually a trainee under miss records.

BACKGROUND. 
   — kotori was born in yokohama, japan to very hardworking parents. she grew up as an only child. because she was an only child, her mother used to make many pictures of the baby kotori simply because haruna never wanted to miss anything kotori did. i mean, she was the precious, only child. kotori's parents were extremely proud of their little girl and often bragged about her to their friends. one of their friends just so happened to be a manager for a children's modeling company. with haruna's professional photos and kotori's natural cuteness, she was scouted to become a child model. thus was the start of her modeling career. even as she grew up, she accepted other jobs for modeling.

was the first trainee accepted into miss records, due to her father's connections to kahi. her father was hired as a security guard for after school when they promote in japan, so when kahi casually stated she wanted to start her own company, hiroshi piped up and showed his daughter's portfolio while stating how his daughter loves the korean culture. kahi scheduled an appointment with the model aida kotori and thus underwent auditions.
