• APPEARANCE: Sena isn't the tallest of the bunch but she stands "tall" at 158 cm, weighing in at 48 kg. She wears contacts because of her poor vision; when not in the public's eye she prefers her glasses.
  STYLE: Like the usual female archetypes set out there, Sena loves pastel colors and prefers to dress in light flowery patterns. More so, she likes having her own sense of style as opposed to keeping up with trends. The one fashion item she simply adores is a collared shirt.

PERSONALITY: Slowly but surely, Sena is a perplexing soul to understand. When first meeting Sena, one would think that she is the quiet type. In actuality, she's verbal and logical; witty at the most. Her persona of an "atomic bomb" derives from her misleading first impression-- you don't know what you're going to get. 

Aside from her tendency to be witty, Sena can be relatable. She aims to be understanding in all manners, taking into account other people's perspectives. Though, things don't always go the right way; one of Sena's most elaborated flaws is her indecisiveness. Even if she were in one of the most dire situations, she wouldn't know whether to go left or right. Despite people not knowing what to get from her, Sena doesn't seem to know what to get either.

Lastly is Sena's systematic behavior. This could be viewed as both a blessing and a curse. The positive part of this trait being the ability to remain on-task and organized. Sena despises being late. She actually finds it mortifying and finds it as a let down of expectations. Now, the negative part; because of her likelihood to always have a plan, if Sena's schedule is ever changed around, she won't know what to do next. Basically, she becomes a flustered soul who doesn't know which way to go.

BACKGROUND: Very family oriented, Sena developed a close relationship with her parents and bickers frequently with her younger brother. Her parents were at the pinnacle of their lives when she was born. It had been ten years since migrating to the Americas. They were settled well enough to start a family and twelve years into their marriage. Sena was a quiet child growing up in a typical household. She was babied often since it had been the first time in awhile since her parents' generation had beared a daughter.

Aside the fact that she was a spoiled child, at an early age she learned that bragging didn't do much for one's reputation. As she matured, she learned how to be humble, which helped her adjust to becoming the eldest child. Approximately four years and nine days after her birth, Sena was graced with a baby brother. When things couldn't get any better, they didn't. With another child in the family and an irresponsible use of credit cards and loans, the Lee family was facing debt and financial troubles. Sena didn't know what was going on but saw the distress. She realized the importance of appreciating what you already had. Every waking moment Sena had with her parents, she would take advantage of-- even if it was enough time to give them a hug, she would. The bond she had with her parents shaped who she is. Meanwhile Sena also enjoyed playing with her baby brother; that was until he learned how to talk. He was the contrary of Sena: loud, outgoing, colorful. Of course this brings on many arguments but in reality, they face that, in fact, they appreciate each other for who they are.

In school, Sena wasn't the brightest. Sure she did well academically, with the average grade of B's and C's--occasionally an A--  but she was aloof with the crowd. Instead of others ostracizing her, she seemed to ostracize herself. As other children would, she cried at dawn before going to school. She was around her family so much-- when her parents weren't around, her grandparents, aunts and uncles would be--she missed being near them and clung on to dear life in the mornings. Teachers would comment on how sensitive and quiet she would be during school hours. This attitude kept up until the age of 9, when her 5th grade teacher introduced her to the "liberated" world. She soon became aware of the world around her and caught on quick, exposing herself to ways of expressing her emotions; taking on dancing and finding herself becoming a more animated being. Sena began making friends and talked more often. She improved little by little.

Three years since fifth grade, Sena was about to graduate middle school. She has very well developed from her quiet days; she's been dancing with a local dance crew and had been chosen to sing in her school's select choir. Within a few weeks of graduating, Sena was asked to perform in their school musical. To no avail, the show was a success; though, her fifth grade teacher--whom has inspired her so much, believed she had much more potential. On the night of performance, she unanimously brought in a talent agent to scout Sena. The agent felt that Sena didn't fit the scene in North America and soon brought Sena to audition for SM. Captivating them with her soprano voice, Sena's impassioned rendition of Boyz II Men's On Bended Knee got their heads turning. She was called back in for a final round of auditions. Sena had officially won their hearts with her performance of singing and dancing to Michael Jackson's Do You Remember The Time.

TRAINEE LIFE: Entering trainee life, Sena began to doubt herself again. She went knowing no Korean and had to take Korean language classes on behalf of the trainee life. It was nothing like what she left back home. She lost the confidence she gained and felt belittled by the talent around her. She felt that she wasn't up to par with them. She could bust a few moves and sing with her diaphragm but what good was that to these prestige beings? Constantly she would get homesick and write home. Though, months and months passed; nearly a year into training, the letters home paid off well. Sena found them as a confidence boost and used it to her advantage, motivating herself to train and accomplish her dream of making her parents proud while doing what she wants. Just as she was as a student, she acclimated to the trainee life and actually began socializing. Looking back at it, other trainees had never expected Sena to be who she is.

Because she was quiet at first, SM thought casting her was a mistake, thinking that she won't be able to live up to her full potential. What held them back from letting her go was her dedication. While other trainees were given time to rest, she would keep going. When she couldn't learn the choreography or hit the right note, she wouldn't leave the studio until she had it down.

Very approachable, people usually flock to him as opposed to Sena's social status. As a high school student, he was your typical loverboy with many girls, many mistakes. Sena, on the other hand, is the most ignorant prick you'll ever come across when it comes to dating. He's smooth and suave. Quite trendy, may one say. Though, he can be sensitive and prone to crying-- something Sena doesn't do a good job at. More so, Jonghyun is compassionate and finds empathy easily. He's reliable and responsible but can also be irrelevantly energetic and easily distracted.
