Jin Sam Hee or Sammy was born on the 16th of December from a well-off family in Seoul, South Korea. The Jin family have a close family bond and she and her brother are very open to their parents. Kidoh, her brother, who is a year older than her has always been the protective and cool brother towards her. He never forgets to include his sister on his activities like learning how to play the guitar, join groups in their school, etc. so Sammy grew up as a very outgoing kid. When she was 7, her grandmother on her mother's side got sick so the whole Jin family moved to Brisbane, Australia to take care of her. 2 years later, her parents got into a huge fight and decided to seperate. Her father took her brother back to Korea while her mother decided stay in Australia. She got depressed because of the whole parents separating and her brother being away from her side. She rebeled for a long time because of it. She goes with the troublemaker kids at school. She tried skipping classes, talk back to her mother and teachers, etc., making her grades drop horrendously. Her mother made her take home schooling for a year after that.
Later on, she realized that rebeling wouldn't take her family back together so she came back to being the nice kid. She lived in Australia for 8 long, painful years even though she kept on contact with her brother. When Sammy was 15, she found out that her brother wanted to become an idol. She immediately asked her mother if they can go back to Korea so she can be with her brother and support him throughout the whole time he's training. Her mother agreed and her parents reconciled a year later. She felt so happy because of that. In school, she was always on the top of the class and she sometimes acts like the teacher's assistant. When she was in her 1st year in high school, she auditioned in Big Hit Entertainment and luckily, she got in and started training with her brother and bestfriend there.

Sammy met Jin when she became a trainee in Big Hit along with her brother Jin. Kidoh and Jin have always been best friends since their middle school days and are both accepted to train together. Sammy tags along with the two since she just came back to Korea and doesn't have that many friends yet.

Sammy's first impression on Jin was that he's crazy and stupid. Crazy because he speaks alien language and laugh on his own jokes like it was the funniest thing in the world. Trainee life »
Being a trainee and a student is very hard for Sammy. She was the top of the class but when she started training, she went down to the 4th place. She barely gets any sleep since she has to practice for hours and then do her home works and projects. She cries to her brother and bestfriend every night. Her brother felt bad for her that he thought of telling her to drop out of the company since he hates seeing her like that but when he saw that Sammy was getting the hang of it for weeks, he reconsidered it and just supported her like a loving brother that he is.

HOW SHE GOT INTO STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT After being replaced by Dahee in GLAM hurt her so much and quickly left the company. She went back to her parents' house again and continued studying though she continued practicing her singing, dancing, and rapping skills to improve more. It was the Back-to-School night, the school had a mini-contest for fun where the school model is at stake. The original model got sick of chicken pox the day before so they're looking for another one. The winner will go home with a small cash and he and she will be the model for the school. Sam's friend listed her as one of the contestants and won. When she was going home from school, when a lady walked up to her and handed her a card and told her to audition on the following week. She auditioned and told her brother about it, but not expecting to be accepted. A week later, she got a call from the same lady and told her she was accepted.
Being the school's model has a lot of perks. A classmate's family owns a clothing store and is looking for fresh, new faces to be the model. Her classmate offered her. It's a chance to earn money since her brother's birthday is coming up so she accepted it, too.
