Her childhood was full of bittersweet moments, born and raised in the USA. She was often bullied by american students because she was small, she had a large forehead and chubby cheeks. But she didn't mind because she was a happy daughter, his father owned a traditional korean restaurant in the heart of Newyork, he also owned a music school in the US and in Korea. She had the privellege of being trained in her father's music school at a young age, Yeonmi did well in school but she was very bad a sports. If there was any games she could win would be online games, her most favorite would be Starcraft. She wasn't a regular kids, she didn't like playing barbies she played with her little brother and father online games. That's why she is really close to her father...they were so much alike. He also loved music and music influencing Yeonmi even more, She also met her father's cousin then G.O.D member Joon Park her uncle introduced her to kpop, she instantly liked singing korean songs she was also exposed to the likes of H.O.T and Shinhwa. She had instant favorites such as Kangta of H.O.T, Son hoyoung of G.O.D but what made her parents and uncle crack up she vowed to marry Andy Lee of Shinhwa. Yeonmi was personally trained by her uncle in rapping while she takes lesson in singing from her father's music school.

When she was 13 her father announced suddenly that they will go back to Korea, When they arrived in korea they went into a really big house tthey were happy, this was her father's handy work over the years, her family was overjoyed. But it didn't last forever just a day after they arrived some group of people thrased their house and beat up her father infront of them...their clothes were even tosed outside and the thugs locked up the house demanded her father to 'pay' them already. Her father led them to a small apartment that only had one room, they had to crowd together to sleep. Yeonmi woke up in the middle of the night and just on time she saw her father leave with a back-pack on his back, her vision was still blurry from sleep. She saw her father look and them for a while and mouthed the words "i'm sorry, i will be back". When realization hit her after 10 minutes she ran and followed him, he was now outiside walking away. she shouted at him "APPA APPA!!!" but he didn't turn back...she ran after him but he was so far now he rode a black car, the 13 year old Yeonmi ran and ran after the black sedan...she was even barefoot..it started raining she continued to run...even though the car was already out of her sight, she slipped because of the wet floor. She continued to lie on the cold wet floor,many things were running through her mind. Why did her father do this? Lost in her thoughts she didn't notice a car was about to go her way . The car immediately halted , a middle aged woman went down along with her 16 yr old son. It seemed like yeonmi passed out because of shock, the woman instructed her son to carry her and take her to the hospital. Yeonmi woke up in the hospital there was a boy eyeing her looking so curious, that is how she met superjunior's kyuhyun and his family . His mother took pity on her and her brother, kyuhyun's father was particularly fond of her , they offered her a part time job while she studies under a scholarship given by kyuhyun's father.Yeonmi's mother eventually went back to the US to go back practicing nursing to sustain her family in Korea, not to make it worse every month the group of thugs collect a certain amount of money from them never leaving them alone, she grew up hating the father she admired as a little girl, at this stage of her life she didn't sing anymore nor rap, it brought back painful and bitter memories of the past. She began to focus in school instead and got high grades, she transformed into this workaholic monster, she also transformed into this pretty lady, her puffy cheeks long gone, she turned into a superficial person... In order to survive she needed to be, that's what she believed at first. Although not fully turning into this shallow person, she still played videogames like what she did eversince...even though it brings back nostalgia of the past, it was one thing she couldn't let go, plus she became close to Cho Kyuhyun...her savior when she ran after her father. While he studied, he also trained in SM, they even got into arguments that singing is worthless, but Kyuhyun tells her otherwise, it makes people happy...even more than videogames could. Jun however being jun told kyuhyun and his parents one day that her older sister used to sing when they were younger, Kyuhyun told her that he wanted to hear her sing one day.

Years passed Kyuhyun became part of super junior he didn't go home that much anymore, Kyuhyun,yeonmi and her brother always find time to hang-out once a week although he was already a rising star they got closer and closer they were insperable. exactly a year after Kyuhyuns's debut an incident happen that shook Yeonmi to the core, Superjunior members Leeteuk,Eunhyuk,Shindong and Kyuhyun got into an incident after being in Superjunior Kiss the radio, while the other members got minor injuries Kyuhyun got it worse.  (will be explained down below) After Kyuhyun's incident Yeonmi began to sing again...she was able to write a song "neorago...it's you" and was able to appear in it's music video. But after that incident the loansharks began to demand more from her family, she kept this a secret from everyone from the Cho family, her brother and mother. When they learned that she knew how to sing, they forced her to work in their underground club, singing karaoke for clients, while she pays off her father's debt. However when Kyuhyun was able to hear it from Jun, Yeonmi's sister although he was busy, he urged Yeonmi's uncle to save Yeonmi and her brother if only he could pay off the debt himself, but he knew that Yeonmi wouldn't want him to use his money. Through Joon Park,Yeonmi's uncle Yeonmi was finally free from working in the club although not totally free from her father's debt. Kyuhyun pretended to be an owner of an entertainment company through phone call and told the thugs that Yeonmi will become a kpop star, till then she will pay of her father's debt. 

Unable to have any choice over the matter Yeonmi began to scout for entertainment companies,avoiding the big three YG,SM and JYP. She looked for smaller companies, because her aim wasn't to become a big kpop star, she wanted to pay off the debt. Joon Park one day "Do you remember telling me that you want to marry Andy?" Yeonmi replied with a shrug she didn't want to remember how silly she was as a young kid, wanting to marry the likes of Andy from Shinhwa. her uncle told her "well you see i got a call from Andy expressing his desire to meet my wonderful niece...Eric and him made TOP media.

That's Yeonmi began training in TOP media for at least 1 year from 2010-2011 he was transferred by Eric and Andy into Shinhwa Company when they saw her potential of being part of their first group to be debuting under Shinhwa Company, she trained under Shinhwa company from 2011-2013

Personality :As a child Yeonmi lack self-confidence because she always thought that she was not pretty, she had  large forehead and she had chubby cheeks often teased by other kids as Majacko,Whatever her bullies made her feel, they made her into this shallow person. She gave importance to being the best she will ever be, the smartest and the prettiest. Not to mention when her father left them along with a huge amount of debt she turned into this monster, she wanted to have revenge to all those people that hurt her and her family...specially her good for nothing father. Having more confidence as she grew up, she turned into this stubborn being, she was the type of person that doesn't want to ask for help, she was cold-hearted despite being a pranskter..how ironic could that be. But behind those jokes is a girl whose hurt from the past, but she cried enough, her tears are long dry...she also grew up to have difficulty in dealing with emotions, she always hid in a mask,contrary to what she hates the most liars...but she can't seem to show her true self, but over all she is a blunt person, she won't hold back if she sees that something is wrong.. her walls are high,she is afraid of having her trust be broken. She is sensitive to betrayals and lies, she doesn't easilly forgive a person who would break her trust, it is also difficult to earn her trust. But once you learn to penetrate through her wall, you'll see that she's actually a good, caring,kind and thoughtful person that only wants the best for her family and to the people she holds dear although they are just a few, namely her groupmates, brother,mother,uncle Joon,Cho family and of course...Kyuhyun
