Unsure

I don't know ~

I live in Australia so the education there is very different.

A grade goes something like this: If you are born on July of a certain year, all the way to June the next, you belong to a certain year group.

Australian Education is divided into two .. whatevers. The first one is called Primary School (K-6) , then continues to High School (Years 7-12).

When you are 5 years old, you go to Kindergarten. Before that, you can go to pre-school to start off (usually at the age of 3 or 4)

When you are 6 years old, you go to Year 1.

When you are 7 years old, you go to Year 2.

When you are 8 years old, you go to Year 3.

When you are 9 years old, you go to Year 4.

When you are 10 years old, you go to Year 5.

When you are 11 years old, you go to Year 6.

That is Primary School.

High School is normally ...

12 years old: Year 7

13 years old: Year 8

14 years old: Year 9 (I am 15 but in year 9, not because I repeat but because I was born within the "July-December 1996" age group)

15 years old: Year 10

16 years old: Year 11

17 years old: Year 12

Then University or Tafe or whatever there is.

The thing is, when ever I write a fanfic based on Korean culture and education, I am ... not literally clueless, but you know, growing up & living in Australia, I'm used to their ways, & not Korea's.

So can someone really help me out here?

What is Korean Education like?

I know it is divided up into 3 sections; Junior (I think); Middle/Elementary & High School.

According to me, Junior = Kindergarten (if there ever is) all the way to Year 5.

Middle / Elementary = Years 6 to 8 (I read that in a book)

& High School = Year 9 to 12.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I am not sure.

Does Korean Education have Kindergarten?

Omo I read wikis but they are too much information & just make me even more confused.

Please also correct me this:

High School / College. The first year = freshman

The second year = sophomore

The third year = Junior

The fourth year = Senior.

I can't remember; I don't know.

Just, please. Help me if you know anything :)

They are very appreciated :)

Thank you for listening to this random blog of mines :)

I don't know about kingdargarden cuz I forgot but I went to elementary school in korea when I was 7.

Usually the age of first grade in korea is 8.

Korean elementary school is grades 1~6, and middle school it has three years, also highschool has three years.

High school is just three years it's close to the edu system in america well that's how my pen-pal describes it. No there is no kindergarten I don't really know how to describe how the school is set up. I do know that being born in 1993 makes you 18/19 do you are a freshmen in college and if born in 1995 you are 16/17 so you are in your end of first year beginning of second year in high school. I hope this helps if you have anymore more question please don't hesitate to ask me.

It's completely different. xD I don't really care about it when I'm writing stories, but I think there's more than three sections.
