My endless Kdrama addiction.

Confession time!!

I am addicted to k-drama.

Now I say addicted but I don't think that's the correct word but it will suffice for this blog post. I've decided to keep a blog of k-drama adventures and this seemed the most appropiate place for that! Why? ... How about you stop asking those questions and just enjoy my flailing about?

The firs korean drama I've watched is 'You're Beautiful' and boy.. what a treat that was! Now the whole concept and the idea isn't all that original but when I first saw it two years ago, I was completely in love with it. The drama itself aired back in 2009 but back then I was too busy with anime and things like that to realize such greatness existed!

On the website where I watched the drama (any of you drama geeks still remember Dramacrazy, right?) it was number 1 on the popular drama list. Which is why I decided to watch it. After that other dramas soon followed. Coffee prince, Secret Garden, Goong. But somehow I couldn't quite finish them. Even to this day I haven't finished Secret Garden (I know. It's bad).

Back then I wasn't really used to the Korean language and couldn't get into the dramas. But I didn't give up! Heartstrings was the drama that made my world go crazy. After finishing that one I got it bad, real bad.

Lie to me, Full House, Scent of a woman, My name is Kim Sam Soon, Shining Inheritance. I finished a lot of them in one go, only stopped to get the necessary hours of sleep and food. I watched a lot of them, some more than once. However! I always stayed away from the Joseon Period dramas. I just couldn't get used to it.

And then the glorious drama The Moon That Embraces the Sun aired and somehow I started to watch it. After that I watched all the historical dramas that I had been neglecting and gosh... It blew my mind!

So yes! Up to this day I have watched over a 100 dramas. A lot of them I've seen more than once! I plan on writing reviews about some of them, making a list of ones you should definitely watch and things like that!

Leave a comment telling me about your first drama! What did you think? Were you hooked right away or did it take some time getting used to? Or did you watch one and never watched it again?
