separating fact from fiction (ft. ladies code)

_

if anyone follows me on twitter they'd know how much of a ranter i am (lol) and that i've said this before

but really

i don't think it's right to write fics with eunbi and rise as main characters anymore. as characters period. especially with crack pairings with boy groups. and how they felt during the accident. and what rise experienced while in a coma, or what eunbi experienced after she passed on (because i've seen those floating around aff).

i just think it's so wrong.

because we shouldn't be writing things that we assume are true for events/accidents that really did happen. this is fanfiction. we are not trying to emulate the real lives of these idols, these people. we shouldn't be trying to write their reality from their perspective anymore especially now when they no longer exist.

because rise and eunbi were real people. they were alive. they were real. and now they're gone.

it isn't right for us now to take them as a person and put them in our fantasies of what we think happened. we shouldn't be romanticising the trauma and the tragedy that sojung, ashley and zuny will now have to live with forever. it's lovely that writers are using their writing as a way to express their grief, and i wholely support that, but these are our own feelings, not someone else's. we shouldn't be assuming that our feelings are the same as what the girls went through. no one should ever have to go through what they did, and to try and turn their real grief and sadness into something for our own pleasure is just horrible and wrong.

i don't quite know what i'm trying to say.

we need to know where to draw the line. just please stop trying to write things from eunbi and rise's perspectives. we don't have that right anymore.
