Coffee on a Tuesday afternoon! :)

Halloooo! My university celebration is finally over. I saw the results of some of my midterm exams and I must say, my expectations have been exceeded! (Yes, I'm tooting my own horn, LOL). Thanks to everyone who wished me luck! Hohoho, coupled with being released early from my class this afternoon, I'm feeling great! So I'm in a cafe right now, just taking my precious time mapping out the next few events in Mission: Kill The Prince. Frankly, I've been a little unhappy with how I'm writing the next chapter because I couldn't seem to strike a balance between the fluff and the action. I want more Minshin moments as much as you guys but I don't know if I'm still staying true to their characters if I do too much fluff. Get me? Haha. Sorry, I'm just rambling.

Anyway, like you, I'm still unsure of where I'm going with this story. I do have an ending in mind already -- the villains are also set. The only problem now is how to get to the end. I was on a literature festival just a while back and I learned that the most effective stories are those that know how to keep things happening, without being too indulgent. So I'm also going with the flow of this story, hoping to insert as much introspective moments as much as I can (<--I'm having a harder time with this). I'm new to this type of story. Action is a really tricky genre, and it's quite difficult to build believable characters who also change in the process of events unfolding. :( I can only hope I'm doing fine so far!

Alright, that's all. I just thought of updating you guys on my progress. Back to the drawing board I go! I hope you're having as much of a great day as I am!

Lotsa loooove,

Patti <3

P.S. Did you see that Yongshin story featured on the site? I was quite happy that a Park Shin Hye fanfic finally got featured, but how I honestly wished it was a Minshin story instead. (Not to take away anything from that Yongshin author though, great job, chingu! <3) Just me and my bias hehehehe. So make sure to upvote your favorite Minshin stories (not just mine) so we can see a featured Minshin story soon! It's also a great thank you to the authors, trust me. They give so much and ask so little in return. :)

Congratulations on doing well on your exams -although there was never a question in my mind about the outcome :).

I'm really excited to see where you take the story. In terms of plot development, we understand that by its nature an action story won't have as much fluff as a romance. And that's fine! Yes, we love our MinShin feels, but as a reader I want to see the best story possible, and don't want quality sacrificed for fluff. It will come when it comes. We trust you!

Enjoy your exam victory! Patti fighting :)!

Congratulations! And i know with action genre, it's hard for you to write lots of fluffy momments esp with Minshin's characteristics in yr ff. They are bickering like dog and cat lol. Just hope it will not be a too sad ending. My poor shipper heart is fragile haha. All the best, chingu!

Congratulations too Patti. Yes it is better to just go with the flow of your story because along the way,you might come up with an extraordinary twist and I'm sure you will..What 's important is you have the skeleton as it were and it will be a matter of just choosing the best decorations to put and having the chance to find them...Keep up the good work. Take care and looking forward to an exciting update.
