from a distance, this goddess-like woman seems like she's mysterious and cold-hearted. as if she's almost as arrogant as a-rod. when she's concentrating or when she's alone her face says 'leave me alone, i'm not interested in you peasant' or 'i'm about to kill someone'. some are intimidated to approach her, thinking she would bite their heads off. if you're one of those people, then you couldn't be more wrong. this giant is probably the most hyper girl this world contains. she is too energetic, even when she's super exhausted she would still be able to jump around and laugh her heart out. hye jin is a laughing machine. almost everything makes her laugh, even if it's the lamest joke or movement that's supposed to be funny, but it really isn't, she just can't help but laugh and it has to be the most contagious thing in the world. she's also really random. she would do something completely unexpected and weird and have everyone fall on their knees from laughing. she loves telling jokes too. although most of the time her jokes are not really funny, they're funny to her, so her laugh is the thing that makes others laugh at it which makes her think she actually said something hilarious. hye jin has a very outgoing personality and she's very friendly. now, she can't be called a social butterfly, because, even though she's very friendly, she isn't the person that would start talking first with people she isn't close with. actually, when she first meets someone, she is rather quiet well as quiet as hye jin can be but when she feels comfortable enough she would turn to her normal jumpy self. the only way to stop hye jin from talking is to literally sew . she is too talkative that you just want to punch her in the face. that can be good in some situations, like if it gets awkward, expect hye jin to break the awkwardness and make everyone comfortable again, but you can never get some peace and quiet when around her.

hye jin was born in the night of 19th september, 1992, in seoul. she was born as an only child to a middle class family. when she was six years old, her parents signed her up for ballet classes. she got really interested in ballet and was quite fast at learning new moves and improving her skills. she participated in numerous ballet competitions and won great prizes in most of them. she had such a strong passion for not only ballet, but dancing in generaly, that she started taking hip hop, jazz and street dance lessons. popping and locking came not long after too. dancing and music in generaly became her life, something that made her so happy. at school, hye jin had decent grades, mostly A's and B's and she was quite loved by her teachers. she had many friends in school, due to her outgoing nature. she would always come up to people who were outcasted and alone, and start talking to them, slowly turning them into her dear friends. even though she was friends with most of her class and people from other classes, some kids made fun of her because of her height. she was quite taller than other girls, so immature boys and girls would call her names like 'giraffe', 'stretch', etc. it did sort of hurt her, to be made fun of, but she didn't take it too harsh, she would just laugh along with them and make fun of her height too. so eventually, seeing that she does it too, they stopped making fun of her height.

when hye jin was 16, her best friend jiwon, who was also a great dancer, suggested the two audition for an entertainment company just to see if they're good enough. hye jin at frist disagreed, but after watching a huge number of idols performing both live and on tv, she fell in love with her best friend's idea. 'to become an idol' found its way up on hye jin's dream list. she had her mind set on becoming an idol, standing on stage, doing what she loves the most and having a lot of people supporting her while doing so. that year, the two auditioned for sm entertainment and both got accepted. seok jin, hyejin's dad, was supportive of his daughter's decision and was more than happy when she got accepted, but her mother didn't think the same. she never liked 'money hungry' business and thought of many things that could happen to her daughter. jihyun was really against it which lead to her loving relationship with hye jin to fall apart as the two fought a lot. nevertheless, hye jin never thought twice about her decision.

trainee history :
hye jin started training in 2008. she was 16 at that time and she auditioned along with her best friend jiwon for sm. both passed the audition and got accepted. the competition between the trainees was high, but even so, hye jin managed to make some friends. she was used to people liking her vivacious personality, but amongst the trainees it wasn't very liked. most considered her annoying and thought she was a distraction, with her loud and outgoing self. one of the trainees that seemed to be the most irritated by hyejin was a female trainee joohyun. hyejin's personality irked her to bits. they barely ever talked actually, only when needed to, but at those times joohyun would be rather blunt and cold. hyejin got the vibe that the latter isn't really fond of her so she tried to stay away from her. that was until they were both announced to be in the same lineup. now, they were spending so much time together. rivality started rising between the two and the competition got really big. they never really talked much, but you could've felt the tense atmosphere when they were in the same room. on the other hand, hyejin practised a lot. she spent lots of hours training, even more than needed. never content with herself, she danced till exhaustion, till she literally couldn't move anymore, every day. when she was told that she's finally going to debut, she felt like the happiest person in the world.

personality : jiho is a fiery young male, oozing with badass-ness (wat?). his profession requiers him to be all badass and have an 'i don't give a ' attitude, and he does, he really does, trust me. but he is actually a complete goof ball who still plays with toy cars. he loves making people laugh and he usually does this with weird movements (he calls it dancing) and faces. he does this thing with his voice when he makes himself sound like a baby and everyone finds it adorable but funny as well. other than being a complete kid at the age of 22, he is quite quick-tempered. he gets angry easily and if it's a male who's making him mad, he becomes quite agressive. basically he gets into fights really often. but jiho is also a suave mother-er. he knows how to charm a girl and sweep her off her feet. he probably has the best pick-up lines which are nowhere near being cliché but are still cheesy like him. jiho is mature when he has to be, but most of the time he is like a little boy.
background / interactions : jiho is an underground rapper known by the name of junseo. in the underground scene he met his best friend do jaesun with whom he became inseparable. one day, jiho came to support his best bud on a music show during one of phoenix's comebacks. at that time melodia were promoting their debut song and jiho had a chance of meeting them backstage. it was by accident though. he was waiting for his best friend and his group members to finish changing, so he went to the bathroom. on his way there he spotted sm's newest girl group about which he heard so much but never got the chance to actually see them. one of them caught his eye, it was none other than hyejin. he set his mind on approaching her and so he did. he only got the chance to introduce himself until one of the staff told him he wasn't allowed there. after that he couldn't stop thinking about her. he never got the chance to see her again, only on tv or sometimes by watching melodia's performances live when he went to 'support' jaesun (but actually just to see hyejin). he joined ament that year as jaesun finally convinced him to do so and he wasn't even dreaming that his one-sided lover would soon join it too. he officially met her when she joined ament the next year. seeing her in the horrible state she was in, both physically and mentally, he didn't give up on her, but instead had his mind set on helping her heal. since hyejin was always feeling down and rarely ever talked to anyone, he tried to cheer her up. he would make jokes and do his weird ways of making people laugh just to see her smile. he would also became a great listener and eventually help her heal mentally.

story of love : she gets really close to jiho but sees him only as a friend. she notices that he likes her and wants to be more than friends with her, but she doesn't feel like having a boyfriend at that time. it hasn't passed so long since the accident, so hyejin feels like she still isn't mentally ready to get involved into a relationship. but after some time, she grows really fond of jiho. she starts feeling different around him and soon she realizes that she wants to be more than friends with him as well. one night, hyejin was crying in his arms, she had a break down, which she had from time to time. she would randomly start crying and literally break down. this night, jiho was soothing her and at one point, when she calmed down a bit, he found an opportunity and kissed her. hyejin was left dumbfounded. after coming back to herself, she kissed him back. it was the start of their love story.

goals : in the future, hye jin wants to become a professional choreographer. she wants to work with some of the big names out there in the dance world and work for some of the biggest stars in the music industry, for both not just in korea.

level of education : she graduated from seoul arts high school and enrolled into seoul institute of the arts but had to drop out prior to melodia's debut. after the accident and when she somewhat heals mentally, she goes back to college.

the car accident : out of the girls which survived, hyejin got injured the worst. she was paralyzed from waist down. it was the worst thing to happen to her. for months after she kept wishing she died as well, because losing the ability to dance was worse than dying to her. her biggest passion, something she put her whole life in, was now something she couldn't do anymore. not only was she damaged physically, but mentally as well. and not only because she was unable to do something that she lived for, but also because she lost three really close friends. soobi was her best friend out of the group and also one of her closest friends in general. minhye was also a really close friend of hers and seunghyun was someone really dear to hyejin. after being put in a wheelchair, hye jin lost all of her energy, it was like all of her life was out of her. the forever hyper and laughing girl wasn't there anymore. instead, she closed herself completely and only let certain people approach her. she barely talked to anyone and spent most of her time alone, isolated. she would cry herself to sleep every night.

aftermath : it took her a few months to become a bit less isolated. she started talking a bit more, but she still wasn't the same person she was before the accident, she was nowhere near being that person again. at that time, after seeing that some of her past bandmates were moving to ament, she made a deal with her best friend to move to ament as well. jiwon became a backup dancer for ament, while hye jin did nothing but was still signed because the ceo hoped for her to recover in the future. she wanted to do something but just sit there, so she monitored the idols dancing. she would give them advice and somehow help them out with choreographies by telling them what to do and what to change. this was one of the things that helped her get back on her feet (not literally), as well as her two best friends, her ex bandmates, jiho and all of her other friends. it did take her quite some time to get back to her past self, but she did. she wasn't completely the same, but she was almost there.
