appearance: As a guy that screams 'the-boy-next-door' he doesn't have the typical male idol look, which means he looks normal but in some angles he knows how to work it like damn. Away from that he has a mole right under his left eye he keeps on calling it his beauty point. In which sure maybe, but not really. As his confident flies up he may or may not think he really is one of the good looking guys...but at least he's not ugly right? Else from that he has a short statue of 170cm which is pretty short compared to others but that's what shoes with many centmeters are for right? (Kkalchang as you might want to say....)

style: You'd be shock at how his wardrobe is compared to his personality. As he thinks he's finally getting old and bright colors are blinding him on his own he loves to go with the original black and white style with simple words on the shirt or any graphic designs on them are ok with him. But truthfully, as a guy who never really cared about fashion he doesn't mind wearing new things and trying them out and if he doesn't like it he'll never wear it again. His whole feel though has a sense of hiphop and it really does look comfortable when ever he's wearing. Kinda like Jung Joonyoung's but just not THAT comfortable looking.

     "Hello! I'm Shin Yelee, the face of the group!"
Let's try to talk about what he is. Yelee, this 23 year old guy is probably a child stuck in a man's body. He usually takes no obvious clues as he talks, what he saids about that it that he just can't seem to hear anyone when he's talking. Thankfully he's a funny guy so it wouldn't feel like a documentry when he keeps on talking and talking...and yes it's that bad that it's annoying and almost cringe worthy. Still it might come of as if he was rude but he really isn't, it's just how he actually is. He's so confident about what he does and knows it...sometimes he can be too confident that it might seem like he's a bit full of himself in which he probably is.

     "Oh! do you wanna do that too? Let's go do that than!"
Even if he is one of the oldest he can be so hyper and wild than most of the members. His mind is so unpredictable and random that it hurts. To him he's so positive that he thinks anything could be turned in to something fun or helpful. Still even with that he also knows how to work as a team....surprisingly. He takes care of each of the member by remembering what they all like and try to do that or buy them whatever it is and when a member gets in trouble he will take the blame for it and be fine and just because he's one of the oldest. Sure he's idiotic by doing that but that's where he knows he can show he does care for them.

As a guy who only seem to be notice when he talks he does but don't let that get to when you see him getting told off by s that he doesn't know how to take control. As one of the oldest he does have this mindset that he has to take care of them and in recording or practices he's not afraid to comment about what he thinks as his confident side begans to kick in and at times it's not because of only being the oldest, also to him his years as beinng a trainee he figured out that if not know he probably won't have any more chance to make it. So because of this he can sometimes really be rude and his fun side disappearing but after all the recordings and dance practices are done he comes back to normal.

Now let's try to put it all together, Shin Yelee the short guy with a girly name who loves to talk on and on that you almost want to slap him is actually a guy who has a hard time showing emotions to people he cares about so he does it by action. Sure you might hate him once in awhile because of his attitude and how he thinks he's the hottest guy in the world if you look through that he can be actually a nice guy.

     This isn't a sob story
Actually Yelee grew up in a really good home. Living with his mom, dad and one older brother they weren't poor, actually they were placed in a higher place than most family. As he grew up of course he had some fights here and there with his family but nothing big. Yeson, his older brother loved to take care of him and play with him, since they had a three year difference in their age they didn't fight. As middle school came up sure they had a few fights with each other. Thankfully almost to the end they stopped the fighting and became close friends once more, Yeson liked to take care of his brother when they were in school, like 'don't mess with him since he's related to me,' kind of style. 

     What happened?
Now back to his history, everything was normal until he came to high school. Even before that he was popular in middle school, even though it was kind of his brotherand his passing of the YG audition that he got those so called friends. (explained in the trainee section)

     It's all good now though.
So in high school Yelee began to hang out with the 'bad' crowd. Usually he would ignore them but he didn't want to make his brother look bad. With that he couldn't really get away from them. Since he had to fit in he couldn't act like his real self, everytime he wanted to leave the group he remembered his brother and just went with it. I mean think about it, your brother was one of the famous students in school and ruining it would be horrible and all his fault. So he did many things with the gang to fit in, the biggest one was having to bully this girl who was a outcast. That was the most miserable thing he had to do. Thankfully Yeson found out and took him away from the group. Getting a scolding and some cuss words it thankfully ended with the Yeson telling him that he should just do whatever he wants, and maybe it was because of that that he became much, much more....annoying. After that it was back to having a ordinary life as a high schooler.

family: 
     - Mother | Shin Minyoung | 51 | Stay at home mom | Other people would be jealous at how close they are. Having his mom that is just like him, happy, annoying is really tiring especially when she tries to be hip. Still usually Minyoung is usually a caring mother that knows what to say at the right time, once a school counsler that helps out a lot. She would give advice to Hana when she's alone in Korea and would always send inspirational messages and not to mention selcas of herself with some 'hip' clothes. She never fails to make her daughter laugh. | Yelee will do the upmost any kind of aegyo to his mother even if he does get rejected most of the times, he really loves her and will do anything for her. 

     - Father | Shin Haeson | 54 | Worker in a famous company | Who ever said like father like son is definetly right, unlike his age he can be just like his son, Yelee and be all cutesy to his wife as he also likes to play with his sons. He has this positive feeling whhenever you're around him and you can't help but to just smile and talk and listen. | They like to joke around and talk a lot when both are together not to mention they are like best friends when at home. As they are they really do tell him his secrets and when he's having a hard time since he doesn't want s to find out about his problems.

     - Older Brother | Shin Yeson | 26 | Ulzzang/Model | Ony one word would explain this male very well and that would be nice, this male just really doesn't know how to be mean at all. Sure he can get mad once in a while but overall he's just a protective brother. | Yelee and Yeson, like their father have a very close relationship that it just doesn't look like a brother-brothr relationship but yes they are and they like to play pranks on each other and listen to there problems.

     -  Suho (Kim Joonmyeon) | 23 | EXO-K's Leader | Lame + Bright + Helpful : From the start you would just see a good looking guy with a normal life But when you start talk to him you'll be able to see the real side where all there is is a hard working guy who...can be pretty lame if he wanted to be. | As a trainee with only a year less than him they became pretty close when they were both trainees. Joonmyeon was the first guy to ever help Yelee out with the rest of SM's crazy scheduel compared to the bit laid-back style of YG's. Automatically as Suho helped the new guy out they became friends and not to mention closer as they figured out how both went throiugh a lot of years compared to the rest these days. So as Exo debuted they had less and less timee but thankfully they would talk to each other once a week when he isn't busy.

training years:  Three years in YG (15~18) + Five years in SM (18~23) = Eight years

training background: 
     So Yelee first got in to YG because of not his talent of rapping but because of his voice. YG was fascinated because of it's uniqueness that he wanted to train it and make me much more stable. Probably because of that he got bullied by a lot of other YG trainees who worked their off to get in. I mean really who wouldn't be mad? So Yelee tried his best to take it all in and wait for a debut so he could finally help his family out with money but of course in his third year he couldn't take the on and off rumors of a fake boy band and wanted to get out. Thankfully it seemed like SM made that happen.

     Moving to SM it felt much better, the trainees were nicer and the place was much more his style. Evven if he still liked the YG's food better (...) moving on, with his hard work in the last three years in YG he was a ok rapper but SM wanted something more out of him. With that he began to work much more harder. The few years would pass and his progress was always slow but he was getting better and that's what counted. In there he made many friends who he would play around with and between them he would be the one to cheer them up as they went.

     As a slow learner the trainers figured out that what he had to do was choose a side on what to learn and of course he chose rapping. Even if there was a big fuss about the whole thing he was pretty much wanting to do rap as that was why he was here for, sure he got some warnings here and there that he would probably have a low chance of getting to debut but to Yelee there really wasn't a  lot of 'good' rappers in SM as of when he was there (in his opinion) so he thought why not? His main goal was to become good enough that they just had to debut him. So concentrating on rapping alone it paid off slowly, even if he had to work on his dancing and vocals as he would always get the lowest marks on those every time they had a judging day by the trainers. Still, thankfully on his fifth year in SM he was chosen as one of the debuters and because of that he promised himself to make them the greatest group as possible and try his whatever best to make the eight years of his life worth it.

     - The bullying comes up as they found out that he did bully a girl once : Even if he is true, once he got out of the group he said sorry and they actually became friends
