Opinions on Reviews/Reviewers/Review Shops?

I'm so filled with questions today, lol.

Anyways, what are your opinions on story reviews? What kind of story reviews do you like? What kind don't you like? What are your expectations?

What about your opinions on reviewers? What are your experiences with them? What do you like about them? What don't you like about them?

Lastly, what do you think of review shops?

Do let me know your thoughts and opinions. Rant if you want to. :)

Personally, I'm a reviewer myself but hey, don't hesitate to comment. I won't take things to heart nor will I be offended. These are just questions I'm putting out there because well, I'm genuinely curious. :)

Well, obviously there are good review shops and reviewers as well as bad ones. Some give very good advice and feedback but they're the minority. If you look around, most reviewers don't know what they're talking about. They comment on unnecessary things and don't comment on things that are necessary.

The good thing about reviewers is that they tell you things from a reader's perspective. The feedback, however terrible, is still valuable.

And finally, believe the best kind of review are the ungraded ones. Marks are opinionated and people looking for reviews shouldn't be subjected to opinions (and if they are, there shouldn't be a lot).

I love Review Shops, especially if the person/reviewer actually knows what they're talking about.

I don't like this point system that many have established - it makes the person who wrote the story feel bad when they receive a less than remarkable grade.

I hate it when the review in whole is subjective where they judge you on the title and the description/foreword cause it doesn't really mean anything you know?

Judge on the content and not on appearances.

That's all lol. Sorry for taking up space.
