Twisted Status: An Entry to 'You are a Star One Shot Writing Contest'

"You are a Star One Shot Writing Contest" is like the very first writing contest I’ve ever joined in. I am actually not really fond of the idea ‘contest’, but when I skimmed through some writing contests. I started to think, why not?

Following a contest means I get an extra responsibility to handle, I will sacrifice my time, and well, my eyes will hurt from staring at the computer in such a long time. But there’s a saying no gain without lost right?

Besides, joining a writing contest has a lot of benefits, like lots of them, and sadly I just realize that. I get to improve myself, I get to try different genres, there are prompts that can help you outline the plot (or not, but it kinda helps I think), then, to top it all, I can unleash my inner kpop feels (Hah... that one is nice).

And to think that a writing contest can teach me so many marvelous things, I suppose staying late in front of computer is not that bad. (Actually it does somehow, I feel really sleepy now)

The prompt I take for this contest is random prompt, asking about your status, which in the end is hungry. I still remember that time when I read the prompts, I thought I would go for romance or horror, but this prompt just kind of called me, I think you should now the feeling when you read something and suddenly a series of story scenes floods your mind, that happened to me. The moment I saw the picture, I knew that it’s the one.

Well, that’s it for my semi-ranting about the competition I joined, I hope by joining this, I can gain experience and develop into a better writer, Thank you.

But, it's not the end, because I still have got something to say (duh...) This is an advertisement, this isn't, well, it is.
