Summer Goals + Wish Me Luck! ^.^

So if you guys know me or have talked to me before, I'm quite a small and short boy. I am turning 17 in August, I am 5'5 almost 5'6(about 16 cm, yes, I'm short for a guy my age) and I weigh in at around 107 pounds(I think that's about 50 kg). I have a serious problem as a skinny Asian boy. Seriously, #SkinnyAsianProblems.

 

I know a lot of people who are overweight sometimes feel like "Oh they're lucky. They get to eat whatever they want and not gain weight." It's not as simple as that. Being underweight is just as bad as being overweight. I know 107 pounds isn't as bad as being under 100 pounds, but it's pretty bad. I'm quite self-conscious so it doesn't really help my confidence as a person.

 

The main reason for my short height and small body is because I have a high metabolism. High metabolism is something a lot of Asians have, and may be the main reason why most Asians are on the short and skinny side. But my metabolism is like the NEXT LEVEL STUFF. I actually LOST WEIGHT from eating! How in the world does that happen? I ate at a buffet in Las Vegas two summers ago, I weighed myself before and after and I lost almost THREE WHOLE POUNDS from eating all you can eat buffet.

 

Now I want to make a change in my life. I know the summer is almost half way over, but I believe that it's better late than never. My main goal by the end of this summer is to: gain 10 pounds. Not 10 pounds in fat, but in muscle. The person who will be guiding me through my journey is no one other than my awesome boyfriend. He's buff I swear, I think he'll do a good job guiding me through weight lifting.

 

I'm also going to have to eat more protien packed food, which is kinda difficult for many reasons because I worry if it might be too much to prepare, and if it might cost to much money to prepare. So far the best recommendations from friends are white meat chicken and beans. Any other foods with protein? I don't want to limit myself to only chicken and beans >,<

You can try nuts, or bean curd if you like. I learnt that in bio but I don't know whether it'll work for you. I do have friends who are severely underweight (like she's 175 but she's only 46 kg) It can be due to inheritance too. So maybe when you grow older like 20 (?) your metabolism rate will eventually be normal. Hope it's helpful. :) Sorry I just randomly stumbled onto your blog. :P

What. You're 5'5? o.o I'm a 13 year old female and I'm 164cm o.o while my classmate is 174cm.

Aw but it's alright, your family friends and boyfriend love you the way you are (and your fans too /coughs/) soooo don't be discouraged by your height or your body appearance :)

And please tell me why am I heavier than you. (I'm mind blown okay, I swear your weight and height are my ideal body type, I don't like being tall anyways lol) I'm like 58kg omg. I've always wanted a boyfriend who can carry me aka I'm burdened that they cant bc I'm a growing human and I have 3 years left before I stop growing so your boyfriend must be willing to carry you around aw (crap this is so cute I cannot I cannot----!)

Meat of all kinds can provide you with protein. And carbs are good to eat when exercising like pasta, bread, ect.

Also, I'm turning 17 in August too. I am only an inch and a half taller than you but I have the opposite issue - I need to lose some weight, which was my goal for the summer. Anyhow, good luck on achieving your goal!

I'm having the same problem, only I need to lose weight </3 I tried dieting, and I failed #TheFaultInOurDiet

You can eat meat (any kind), fish, eggs. Good luck! :D

OMG!!! Finally someone with the same problem as me. I eat the most out of my friends but I normally lose weight instead of gaining.
Hehe I'm 3 pounds heavier than you hehe.

I consider you tall (I didn't grow for a whole year, last year. But grew this year YAY!!) since I'm now 5'2.


YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!? IRK MUCH ABOUT EXERCISE (shocker there, I don't exercise), BUT YOU CAN DO IT LEO FRIEND (guessing you're a LEO)!!

Drink milk! Um and u can eat egs, chees, fish, any type of meat!~ good luck!

My cousin is trying to do the same thing also
She lost about 6.5 pounds in a week when I brought her Las Vegas
I'm like over here trying to get her earn weight so she won't be so skinny

We're having the same problem~ I can lose 5 kg in just 1 week and it took me for years to gain back that 5 kg >.<

Good luck ! ^_^ I don't know what to say but wish you luck . I gain weight and maybe I can't grow taller because of my illness . That makes me sad :'( I really want to be taller than my friends :p And what I can do now just pray and eat something that makes me taller ? Idk (>.<) BTW Good luck ! :3

Hehehehe funny...*um rolling down here trying to loose wait....um 167cm tall and um 56kg...not fat i think bones weigh a lot....* my goal is to loose wait so i do zumba...
For you omg i can imagine you trying to gain weight with your bf hyung's help.....plz don't slip and brake your bones because you are too happy together with your bf..*or else broken bones will bring the luck tooo...you know you can ask your bf hyung to feed ya...cuddle ya...and even ....you can ask for extra kissies.....
Ahhh if eating looses weight...that's just insane.....anyways eat a lot of proteins .....lipids and carborhydrates....buiscuits are the best ...eat cheese alot....heheh funny you and your bf hyung...*fan girling over best couple in the world*
