At the age of 16, Denise took part in her school talent competition, she made a cover of baek ji young 'like being hit by a bullet' and won 2nd placing. The school puts her cover up on youtube, and one of the representive came across her covers. They contact her school and asked for Denise's number before calling her personally to make a trip to Seoul for audition because denise have the potential to become a kpop singer. Denise doesnt know what to do but decided to try it, according to her mother, this will only happens once in your lifetime, she still young, so it doesn't matter if she fails the audition. Denise listens to her mother and both of them made a trip to seoul. Never in her lifetime, she knew that she could get selected in. She was delighted and she can started training one week later. (if only the family agrees to it.) The family made the decision for her and decided to just "throw" her in seoul and let her live by herself, and not forgetting to deposite money into her account.
Denise goes by the name 'cho ah ri' in her univeristy, Korea National University of Arts. She never take music as her major but sports. Even though she is training everyday, but that doesn't mean she will give up volleyball just for being an idol. Her training life is already hard for her, as she had to dance straight for 3 hours everyday. She is really stff in dancing and nobody knows why. When people found out that she is actually a sports major, they was shocked. Well, she is in dancing but she excel in sports. Denise is currently living with her childhood friend in Gangnam-gu.
