Comic of my life: Entry 47 "50 Party"

The story for this is quite amusing. As I've mentioned before, I did not study much for chemistry (or anything else) towards the end of the recent school year. In chemistry, we did not learn any new content the last 7-8 weeks of school and were supposedly doing review packets for the AP test. The very last thing we did was a test for the school district to see how we were progressing. It was the dumbest test. Our teacher said that the whole thing consisted of hard AP level questions, but unlike the AP test, it did not have any easy level questions, just the hard ones. Most standardized tests have questions with 3-4 levels of difficulty, easy, medium, hard, and very hard. but these were all hard or very hard. And it was maybe 30 questions. There were times when someone in our class (our small class of 11) would look up and ask "what is this even about?" I'll be honest, it was me half the time. There were questions like "Calculate the equilibrium constant of this reaction" but we weren't allowed a calculator and the answers would all be very close, so estimating wouldn't work.

When we got the grades back, the highest grade was a 65 (which only 2 people got out of maybe 60 students total), the lowest a 14ish, and the average about 30. I got a 50 and Rebekah got a 54. At the time, it felt like a great accomplishment. Needless to say, the teacher just threw those grades out. When we were going over thes questions, I got the first half mostly correct, but around question 20 I started missing a bunch. Then it hit me, the questions had been so hard that I was taking too much time on each one and ended up bubbling in random answers for the last ones.

I don't think I mentioned it yesterday, but I got a huge haircut. I got an angled bob that reaches the nape of my neck. It's quite refreshing in this summer heat.
