personality:

short in stature and petite by all means. Just don’t get her find you say so though, because she might actually come at you and give you that look that might both melts ice and freezes fire. Although when you look deeper, she is merely an awkward girl who has a black hole as a stomach. 

aloof—since the first step she took as a trainer, Riku choose to rely everything to herself. It has nothing to do with her background, rather it’s just her upbringing. She doesn’t particularly like being in a crowd and rather be with herself and her Gallade the entire time. Riku likes to go along with her pace, that’s why it’s hard for her to be in a journey in a large group. At best she could go with one or two other people, who doesn’t get under her skin. The girl loves her solitude and greatly oppose people who dare cross the imaginary borderline she put almost the entire time. However, in times of a tournament or a contest where people do make crowds anywhere and everywhere, Riku made an exception as long as you’re not getting in her way. She practically indifference with others’ well-being, nevertheless once Riku gets along with you she would go all the way to keep you safe—just don’t hope that she will admit that out loud, she probably saying you have a value to her and it’s just ‘too bad’ if you’re gone. 

nerve-racking girl—having a stoic face and unapproachable attitude makes it hard for anyone to go and say hi to her. In despite of her rather small stature, Riku loves to intimidate people although most of the time, unintentionally. She actually loves challenges and hopes to find a great opponent and that’s when she becomes terrifying as she demanded a battle right here and there. Riku doesn’t exactly smile a lot, and when she does it comes out as a smirk or either a sadistic smile. Her intimidating personality also showed when someone did something that displeased her, for example: annoyed her, doing something bad to Pokemon, or just crowding around her. Although this part of her sometimes had helped her in her journey, it also getting in her way when Riku is actually trying to have a decent conversation with someone. 

sharp-tongued—never have a filter with her words, almost. Riku is a straightforward girl who rather not going round and round and just go with the chase. If she thinks someone is stupid, then she said he’s stupid; if she thinks someone is being ridiculous she doesn’t say it hesitantly; if she was thankful to someone… she doesn’t face them when saying a short ‘thanks’. Either way she doesn’t polish the words that come from . For an example, someone asked her if the person could defeat someone else. Riku feels he would lost and she said it straightly to the person’s face. If she feels being nice she could give you some pointers, although you might need an iron heart for that. Her sharp-tongue also made her more intimidating than she already is. 

socially awkward—rarely being around of someone else—that’s not a Pokemon’s presence made her very awkward when engaging conversation. Usually saying things that shouldn’t be said or glaring because she doesn’t know how to react. Riku is also quite oblivious to other intention except for a threat, and mostly thought everything is a threat that needs to be annihilated. She is also unable to differentiate between good or bad intent because her lack of interaction with other human-being. Riku is also has little to no idea about courting neither is flirting. When flustered she stutters and trips over her own words. When she embarrassed she would retort in return, and when her face is awfully red and her brain couldn’t produce anymore words, she would punch you and tell you to just ‘shut up’. 

the glutton—in a way, this part of her is the only way for you or anyone to have a peace with her. Riku is not fat by any means but she eats like there’s no tomorrow and today is the first day she saw food. When she finds a good food her eyes would sparkle and she even could show you this side almost anyone never see before. You could see Riku practically giving you the puppy face until you give in and let her have that piece of bread you were holding. Though in another second she would back to her aloof self. Even though she loves to eat, please do not try anything she cooked as you will probably be sent to the nearest hospital, if you’re lucky enough. One thing though, if she somewhat concern about you she would probably share some of her food to you—although this is a rare occasion.

interaction: Riku saw him no more than a rival worth having. But maybe she started to take more interest than she already thought. Riku is also becoming more aware to his presence which made her easily frustrated and embarrassed. Her social-awkward self is in the show although more prominent. She is also easily irritated with him because of no particular reason. Riku is a type of person who would be in a denial for a long time. Although it was apparent that she cares deeply for his well-being but wanted to cover it with indifference.

preferred type: she has no certain preference for her Pokemon she caught. But because of her hometown, Riku already get used to train Fighting-Type Pokemon since little. She doesn’t really like using Normal-Type Pokemon as it easily defeated in Veilstone—a view she has since little, although doesn’t mind having some. Riku has zero luck handling Bug-type as she’s afraid of them so the number of her Bug-type is none and she rather keeps it that way.
