background

Ueno Etsuko and Wakahisa Kiyoshi were high-school sweet hearts. They got married fresh out of college, and five years later, Minako was introduced to the world. Unfortunately, Etsuko died a few hours after birth. Kiyoshi and Minako were fine at first – but Kiyoshi was lonely, and he decided Minako needed a mother. He was married when Minako was four, to Yoshida Airi, an editor at a popular magazine in Tokyo. Minako sang at their wedding, and Airi adored her voice. She enrolled Minako in voice lessons. However, it backfired when Minako became more interested in the instrument her teacher played – the piano. At age five, she started to learn piano. They had a grand piano that she spent hours at, just pressing random keys, or practicing the songs her teacher gave. Then the twin terrors came.

In December 2002, Wakahisa Ryouta and Wakahisa Rikaru were born – Ryouta older by two minutes. Minako didn’t like them, since her piano lessons stopped to save money, and they got so much attention. But once when they were crying, their parents couldn’t stop them, so they asked Minako if she could help. All she could do was play piano, so that’s what she did. Surprisingly, they stopped crying until they fell asleep in their parents arms. Minako didn’t despise them so more after that.

Kiyoshi was the head of marketing  at a business based in Tokyo. Minako learned to take care of the twins, since her parents were busy often. She called sweet and innocent Ryouta Ryo, and Rikaru, who was outgoing and protective over his twin, Ru. She cooked from time to time and played with them, performing magic tricks. Her mother got a promotion at work, and so they were able to pay for her piano lessons again. She was also accepted into An Music School, in Tokyo.  Minako was able to start figure skating at age twelve, and she was horrible at it at first. But this one of the things that didn’t give up on, and it worked. She got more involved with her brothers though, and their friends, and she came to like kids a lot.

However, three years later they moved back to Korea, upon her father’s insistence. He was offered a promotion at work, though it would be in the Korean branch. Their family wasn’t rich before, but they went from upper middle class to lower middle class. Airi had a fight her family and didn’t want to ask for help, being the independent woman she was. It was okay to go back to Japan, but Kiyoshi wanted to stay for his children’s education.

At the age of fifteen, Minako was highly confused. In Korea her Korean name was Jung Minhee. She could hardly understand anything anyone was saying, and neither could her family. Being the confused girl she was, she was in emotional teenage angst crisis. She played the piano at her school at lunch to help relieve stress. There was one student who liked her playing, having heard her one day. Her name was Lee Yuna, a dancer. Usually Minako would play and Yuna would dance. She helped Minako with her Korean – though they communicated through music and dance and hand gestures most of the time. When Yuna was actually trying to teach her the language, she would point to an object and say what it was in Korean. Minako would repeat it, and Yuna would correct her pronunciation. Minako was honestly confused, and she admits she may have fallen for Yuna – a girl. It seemed Yuna didn’t mind though. It was a sweet love – high school sweethearts, the perfect match, but kept under wraps. It lasted until Yuna had to move away to Incheon at the end of her second year in high school. It was short but sweet, but Minako’s first love – and her first heartbreak.

Minako finishes high school this year. She doesn’t know if she wants to go back to Japan again. All her friends and old life are there – but what does she have in Korea? Does she want to get into a Korean university, or try for Japan? She wants to get into Tokyo University of the Arts – all of her music and art buddies are going there. Minako is confused.

personality

Minako is a very sympathetic person. She always lends a shoulder to cry on, and loves giving out advice.. Because she can sympathize with people, she can look at things from different perspectives, and is usually very open-minded. She always liked simple things. Because she is sympathetic, she doesn’t judge a person until she knows them. She is usually a quiet girl, but she loves to laugh with her friends. She is very motherly and protective over her friends and loved ones. If you mess with one of her girls (or boys) then she’s out to get you. When people first meet her she doesn’t talk to them much, but she’s polite. After you get to know her you find that you can trust her. Minako is a quiet girl when she’s around strangers, but she likes to share her opinion with people she can trust.

(+)Minako can handle personal matters and emotions very well. Usually she is the one to comfort a friend if they’re upset (which is why people think she’s motherly). She’s good with children because she can understand them well, having two younger siblings and being the oldest in her family. She is very independent and doesn’t need someone to take care of her. She gets easily annoyed if someone thinks she can’t take care of herself.  She wants to be trustworthy and doesn’t spill secrets. Despite people trusting her, she only trusts those closest to her. She isn’t an adventure-loving person, and prefers a tranquil life.

(-) Despite her good qualities, Minako isn’t perfect. One of her flaws is that she is unforgiving. With her you have one chance almost all the time. If you break her trust, you’re not going to get it back. You have to be careful around her (and the people she loves). She tends to overthink things a lot, which ends up wasted up time, no work getting done, and a rushed finish product. She is quite impatient, and she hates waiting. She isn’t persistent, and gives up after a few tries. She gets bored of things easily, and she doesn’t mind change. She can never stick to one thing and has a lack of commitment. Her impatience and lack of persistence go hand-in-hand.

(-)Minako is really picky (or finicky). She demands that she has to make a decision, and takes a long time doing it. She’s indecisive too, so she tries to include everyone’s opinions. She is inconsistent and has no consistency in her life. She’s fussy and worries a lot. And no matter how hard she tries she gets jealous really easily. Of those who beat her, who are better than her, who are on the same level. She tries not to hate them too much, but sometimes she has to quit because she isn’t persistent, and she’s jealous everyone’s doing it better than her. Minako  gets bored of things easily, always changing, which annoys people.. It seems that she’s rarely passionate about anything enough to commit to it.. She is always changing her mind. Because a lot about what she likes and dislikes changes, her friends have to be very wary not to upset her. They communicate a lot, and Minako can be a little clingy, asking where they are and if they’ve eaten. Usually people don’t mind her motherly ways, but sometimes it gets a little annoying.

To recap, Minako  is a quiet girl who speaks when she has something to say. She is tries to not judge people. She is impatient and hates commitment, because she always changes her mind. Despite that, she takes care of the people she loves and helps them out in times of need, having two younger siblings. You can always count on her to remember the homework and remind you, or give you a shoulder to cry on and advice on how to fix it. However, she gets jealous easily, and her motherly nature can make her fussy and clingy. She is hardly ever consistent, and is very picky and indecisive. You have to be very careful around her because of her sharp memory and lack of forgiveness

PERSONALITY. ( again, descriptive but dont ramble, one para is enough )Kim Ryeowook will probably be one of the kindest people and most loyal  you will ever meet. He is the sweetest thing since cotton candy, and he’ll do almost anything to put a smile on your face if you’re having a bad day. He is a walking-singing-piano-playing ball of aegyo, enough to melt anyone’s heart. Ryeowook is always cheerful and energetic. However, he tends to be a little dramatic. He’s is really sensitive, and gets hurt very easily. He’s friendly, and can be maternal too, even though he’s the youngest of the group of heartthrobs that call themselves Super Junior. He is extremely humble and modest, to the point that he feels insecure. Being the innocent Wookie he is, he gets taken advantage of often, when his hyungs aren’t around to protect him. He can’t say no people. But he has a beautiful voice and amazing piano-playing and composing skills. He cries really easily (once when his friend Henry was playing the violin, he cried, because he looked so cool), and cracks under pressure. But Wook is Wook, and there’s a reason why his SJ hyungs love and cherish him.

HOW YOU FIRST MET.  Her new piano teacher’s name was Kim Hyojin, though she preferred Jea. Minako’s classes are every Friday at 5:30-6:15, and Ryeowook’s end at 5:30. She arrives at Hyojin’s house a few minutes early, so she’s basically sitting on the living room couch while Ryeowook finished up in the basement. When he comes up he’ll sit  on the couch opposite her, while Hyojin cleans up for Minako (she does the craziest things to make sure her students prosper, once she had Minako throw white paint at an empty canvas). So the very first lesson, Minako was sitting on couch, when  t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶u̶t̶e̶s̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶s̶i̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶B̶a̶m̶b̶i̶ an obviously Korean stranger came up. He sat on the couch opposite her, and offered her a cookie (Hyojin keeps cookies on the coffee table for times like this). Minako took the cookie, and smiled at him. He smiled back. Then he left (not without stealing half the cookies).  anbsp;

INTERACTSION.  Basically like their first meeting – they haven’t progressed a lot. Minako wonders how on earth someone can be so cute without actually doing aegyo – she’s a er for aegyo. They don’t talk much, aside from the ‘How are you doing, noona?’ and ‘Good, you?’ He doesn’t openly acknowledge her at school, aside from smiling at her in hallway, but then again he smiles at the janitor in the hallway. They appear closer at Hyojin’s house, and he always offers her a cookie. Every single Friday. How does Hyojin never run out of cookies with the existence of Kim Ryeowook? I guess there’s a reason his nickname is ‘Wookie Monster.’
