Personality: She is the type of girl who would rather watch then be the center of attention. To strangers she looks cold can be blunt and quiet. But she is actually a shy and senstive girl, who takes things to heart. She just doens't like to show other her emtions. She has a hard time expressing herself. She has a kind heart and is always smiling, if she isn't smiling then something is really wrong. She is the type of person that you can depend on. The one who is always there to listen and give advice. She hates crying in front of others, instead she's act strong and fine and then cries when she is alone. Sometimes when she gets really mad or sad she's refuse to speak to anyone and only the leader or Kai can get her to talk again. She is a romantic who falls easily and hard. She can get jealous easily and a little vengful, but doesn't show it usually. She can also get pretty competitive, if she doesn't win she will get very mad at herself.

She is in love with sports, especially running and swimming. Since she doesn't like too, and has a hard time expressing her emtotions she tends to use sports as a way to let out her frustrations. When she gets frustrated, which happens often, probably because she is too competitive, she can run or swim for hours. She is a very observant person, who can read the mood very well. She hates when the members fight with eachother, and would be the one that breaks the fights apart. She is probably the one that has the calmest and most rational thinking in the group, when she isn't competitive that is. She is an amazing cook and is the resident cook for the group. She is very independent and likes to do things herself, this makes her act older then she really is, but it's because that was the way she was raised. She is very organized, so she always clean up after the members. She can't lie to save her life, if she does she would start to hiccup and become fidgety. 

Background: YeJin grew up in a fairly rich and very educated household, so she was expected to excel in school and be very mannered. Both her parents, Song ShiYoon and Song JaeHee, are lawyers for a large company. They are the type of parents that are very strict and give off a power aura that would scare people. YeJin is the youngest out of three children. She and her older siblings, Song HyunShik and Song SooJin, were always in the top 5 in school. But she hated attending school, so she would get in trouble with her teachers. Her parents had a different way of teaching their children, they believed that their children should be able to do things for themselves and shouldn't ask for help. So as children, she and her siblings learned how to be independent. Her parents didn't approve of her becoming a trainee at first and made her promise that even after she became an idol she would still attend school. Ever since she was young her parents forced her to take ballet, piano, and voilin classes. The only class she really enjoyed was piano and sometimes ballet. SHe always thought that she could express everything she couldn't say aloud through the music she created.

Yejin auditioned at the SM Seoul Audition in 2008. She trained at SM for 1 and 1/2 year. During that time she became friends with F(x)'s Krystal and EXO's Kai and was even featured in SHINee's Juiliette Japanese MV as the female lead. SM was planning F(x)'s debut, YeJin was suppose to debut with F(x), but got cut at the last minute. After that happened, her parents convinced her to leave the idol dream behind and study to become a lawyer instead. She decided to leave the company after her parents convinced her, thinking that SM wouldn't debut another girl group for awhile. She went back to studying but a few months later she and her group of friends decided to audition for JYP. It took a lot of encouragment from her friends and siblings for her to convince her parents to let her audition again and for her to get past the idea of the possbility of her getting cut again.

Personality: There's a big difference between Kai, the character SM created, and JongIn, the actually person. Kai is charismatic and knows how to kill the fan girls. When he is on stage or dancing his aura completely changes. He goes from this shy boy next door to a confident person who isn't afraid to take on the world. Then there's JongIn. The shy and quiet boy that doesn't want to be the center of attention he jiust wants to dance. His passion for dance was the reason YeJin fell for him. The way he dances makes him seem like he's shouting "Yes! Ilove dancing! I live for dancing!" at the top of his voice for the entire world to hear whenever he's performing on stage. It's what lights the fire in his eye, the sparks in his footsteps, the charisma in his smile. It's why by the time he finishes a dance, he's always huffing and puffing out of breath, but he's laughing and smiling like he's having the time of his life. And it's that exact passion that Yejin admires the most. He's 100% genuine. He can't lie for his life because he thinks hat it is wrong. He has a hard time expressing himself to others, which is why he might seem unapproachable. But once he can get through that wall, he becomes the sweet guy in the world. He's super shy and easily gets embarrassed. Whenever he thinks that he has done something embarrassing, he squeezes his eyes in a cute manner. He is actually a huge a big ball of awkward, and not to mention a huge dork. 
Interactions: He is super sweet to YeJin and is always there when she needs him. But he is oblivious to YeJin's feelings even though everyone already knows she likes him. She is there when he needs to talk and vent, she really cares about him. They always text eachother and go out together. Since Kai loves to dance, he often teaches her how to dance in the practice room and just play around together. They always watch each other's performances and YeJin just can't take her eyes off of Kai when she watches him. You can say the she is heads over heels for him. The sad part is that he treats her like a best friend, but she has a huge crush on him.
