For the First time in my Life
This is just a pretty random blog of mine. I just wanted to express my feelings towards something "KPOP related" that happen to me for the first time.
You see I am a Filipina kpop fan living in the Philippines. My province where I live isn't really a place where Kpop stars go in our country. They usually go in Manila, Philippines. But since I am now a college Freshmen student living in Cebu, Philippines; I shall tell you a story:
On June 19, 2014 (Thursday). I was busy going to school and spent my day there normally. My older brother sent me a message (when I was already at school) that transportation vehicles were on strike so our classes were dismiss early. My class was supposed to end at 5:30pm but instead it ended at 3:00pm.
After I receive that message I started to have a horrible day. After class i notice that I had 5 missed calls (2 from my mother and 3 from my older brother) and a lot of text from them. They were all asking where I am. We had an activity at class at that time so I couldn't send a reply and my phone was inside my bag so I didn't hear any ringing.
When my class finally ended my brother was searching desperately for me, since I am not familiar with place yet. He keeps on asking me where I was and I ended giving him the wrong info since I was nervous. When he finally found me, he kept on scolding me and calling me "stupid" for not knowing; well I was a new student so I had no clue. on the way he kept on scolding me, while trying to catch a jeep (filipino transportation vehicle) he kept on scolding me saying "Why did you came out late?" "My friend could have given us a free ride." "This is all your fault." When we finally caught a cab, he insisted that I pay for both our fare and it was pretty expensive (P64.00) Goodbye Lunch money and Fare money! >.<
Anyway, when we finally arrive home. i decided to rest for awhile. tired from all the drama that just happened earlier.
Half an hour later, my older sister (also a kpop fan, specifically YG stars) called me saying "why didn't you tell me that classes were canceled." I was left speechless so she ended the call. After 10 minutes, she sent me a message saying she was at the mall to visit our grandmother's restaurant. I called her asking if she was still there coz my older brother had plans on going to the mall (to visit our grandmother) she answered a "yes" but her background was very noisy so I couldn't hear what she was saying clearly. i asked her why it was noisy and she replied "there seems to be someone famous here. Oh wait it's kpop group!" end of call.
I decided to go to my brother to the mall (not telling him that there was a kpop event there, he no like kpop) and i was excited coz of there really was a Kpop group there then my dream is coming true.
you see ever since I started liking kpop, I was high school student back then. I promise that if I ever met a kpop star (whether solo singer, group, artist, etc.) i would be so thankful to God and I will not ask for anything else except maybe a chance to travel around the world.
anyway, when we finally arrived at the mall, we went to the foodcourt (the performance stage area was there.) And right infront of my eyes was "N.O.M", a kpop boy group whom I only know the name but not much about them. they were performing one of their songs. And I, seeing a kpop group (in real life) for the first time in my life was starstruck. I had goosebumps and my heart was beating fast. i was just in happy lalala land :DD
there weren't much people since it was a school day but ofcourse there ever supportive fans were there. after they performed their song, they dance to Super Junior's "Mr. Simple" and i was screaming like crazy. Two of the members captured my attention and i was doing the "Guessing who is who game" to myself, wanting to know who they were. They had a poster where they're names was written but i was still clueless who was who. they ended that song and performed one of their songs again. this time one of the members (turns out it was "K") went near to the fans on my side coz the other members were at the front, where the other fans were. i was pretty ecstatic since I held "K's" hand and it felt like my life was complete.
after their stage performance. i sat at the foodcourt with my brother, waiting for a message from our older sister. i was bored and stared at the stage area and saw the fans surrounding the boys. i went to the barricade area and just stood there. Unexpectedly, the boys were going to pass on that area, so while the other fans where running for their life to get there. i was holding on to the barricade for my dear life. i saw them wave at me (well, okay the fans) and i was just feeling giddy. They left and went to the 2nd floor of the mall where the Optical shop, that they will endorse was located to have a fan signing while i went back to my seat at the foodcourt (well trying to get to my seat at the foodcourt) since the fans were constantly trying to pass to get to the 2nd floor. when i finally found a way, I atlast sat down once again.
my sister suddenly appeared at the foodcourt (my brother told her where we were.) and told me to go to the fan signing event upstairs. (turns out my sister was taking videos of their performance and introduction. she was there alright). i went to the 2nd floor with my sister and her friend (a feminish guy but not gay, who was a kpop fan).
On the 2nd floor my sister's other kpop friend (girl) was there taking videos of them. her friend didn't know who they were but just like me she was starstruck. My sister told me the member's name and which was which (turns out she only got 2 out of 5 of them correct). i wanted to go inside and get a signature or picture. anything! but you needed to have their album or a poster of them (that they were giving free) to get inside.
so me, my sister and her friends where just taking pictures and videos of them outside. me and my sister's friend "Nikki" were constantly trying to get "Yohan's" attention Nikki-unnie's so called bias whom she saw for the first time, but failed getting his attention miserably. they're were security guards guarding them and so me and Nikki-unnie decided to befriend the guard hoping we get cahnce to get a closer look. (and indeed we did, coz we're awesome. XD)
one of my sister's friend who has a friend that had kpop connections was there. we were desperately hoping we could get inside and "Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!" turns out that friend of my sister had an extra two posters and ask the feminish guy friend to go inside (they were also friends) with her. Nikki-unnie also wanted to go inside, me too, so the guard whom we befriended agreed that Nikki-unnie could go with feminish guy-oppa (also her friend). i was on jealous mode and badly wanted to go inside too, so after a little drama (fake crying) the friend who had two posters gave the other one to Nikki-unnie while i went with feminish guy-oppa (it was fine, she already went inside previously to have her posters signed, with her other friends the ones who owns the extras posters were from who were kpop fans that has an easily jealous husband and the other an easily jealous boyfriend).
so after my little drama, i had a chance to meet them. after all i always find a way >:D
anyway, when i was finally inside waiting in line w/ feminish guy-oppa (i keep on forgetting his name, so i just called him oppa) i was feeling nervous and since he also haven't got a clue on who was who, we were trying to remember which one was which (thankfully the posters had their names on it) and when we were finally infront of them...
these is what happened:
the first one was "YOHAN" i was feeling nervous and shy and i was left speechless for awhile, all i could mutter was "you're really handsome!(in english)" and he replied me with "Thank you!" in english. i had a mini heart attack there. Dang that smile XD. we had a photo together (a shy picture of me with him >.<)
the next one was "A-IN", he too, was good-looking and all i could utter was "Picture!" (stupid i know >.<) but it was a first time for me so i didn't know what to do, spare me from my embarassment.
the third one was "YONGKI" (this guy definitely had me.) i was still starstruck and i couldn't help but stare at his pink hair, and once again there goes my stupid mouth saying "I like your pink hair!" >//< embarassing i know >//< but it was definiteley okay with him coz he thank me. (sigh of relief) i ask the feminish guy-oppa (yeah, he's still there) to take a picture of the two of us, a simple picture and i ask him again to take another picture a different kind of posing. i ask Yongki-oppa (yeah I'm younger than all of them) if we could have picture where we're looking into each other's eyes and BOOM! I did not expect that he would do a pose where "IT LOOK LIKE HE WAS ABOUT TO KISS ME WHILE LOOKING INTO MY EYES AND HOLDING OUT HIS PINKY AS A SIGN OF BEING TOGETHER FOREVER POSE" XD XD XD (I like died a million times at that moment) i was feeling nervous that i ended up shyly covering my face while he did that and that was our picture. but if you saw the photo it actually look like, we were making a promise as he was about to kiss me. KILL ME if you want but i was SPAZZING inside trying my very best to control my emotions.
after calming my heart down, the fourth one was "HU" and the fifth one was "K" we had picture of me and the two of them together. and i was trying my very best not to look shy but i failed miserably. (yeah I'm shy in reality) i think i had two photos with the two of them; one smiling pose and the other a cute pose. after the picture taking; K-oppa was at the edge so I ask for a hug and he gave it to me XD XD XD (ofcourse i hug him back, duh!).
i quickly went out and started spazzing to my older sister. and she told me a little funny story while i was inside. there were fan girls outside who couldn't get inside so were taking pictures/videos instead. when i had a photo with "Yongki-oppa" the girls were all jealous and were saying "I wish I was her." apparently i was the only one who had a photo like that with him. the other funny thing was when i hug "K-oppa" the girls outside were also jealous, again i was the only one who had hug him amongst the fans that were present there. (I AM ONE LUCKY GIRL XD)
after the fan signing, we were still there waiting for N.O.M since we still wanted to see them. and on their way they stop and pose for picture takings, while those other fans were taking photos and videos, including Nikki-unnie. i was calling out to Yohan-oppa and gave him the loom band bracelet (that i made) and he wore it and thank me. next i caught K-oppa's attention and wanted to gave him my other loom band. "UNEXPECTED MOMENT" XD He let me wear it to him so our hands were touching for 5 seconds (yes i counted) and all those fangirls taking pictures/videos were on jealous mode again coz they weren't able to give them anything. (i was the only one >:D)
there were going to passby and i gave my other two loom bands to A-In-oppa and Hu-oppa (and yes i can remember what style it was and the color of the bracelet and i made them all). i wasn't able to give Yongki-oppa aything since i only wore four loom band bracelets at that time but my older sister said it's okay because i had the "Heart Fainting" picture with him.
she was jealous a bit of me because she wasn't able to enter. this is what she said. "You just stayed here in Cebu for 4 days and you're already experiencing this. That is something."
i replied her with "Unnie. it's okay. you had a chance to see the 2NE1 concert by winning a ticket, and it was in the V.I.P seat, so this is my chance. Love yah! "
it was a non stop-spazzing, even while i was eating my late dinner.
that was the very first time i saw a kpop group. Not on the screen of my laptop. Not on videos. Not on pictures. But in reality. and so I came to share it all with you. Especially for those who wish, hope, pray so hard to meet a kpop star. Don't lose hope. My chance came to me by a struck of LUCK and I'm sure yours will too. Never stop believing!
truth be told, after that day I became there fan XD
