Why Do Idols Apologize for Dating?

Not only Taeyeon, but other idols as well always apologize when it’s revealed that they’re in a relationship with another idol or person. I’m sorry. I don’t understand why they have to apologize for being in love with someone. Most of them apologize for having “deceived” the fans, for having made it seem like they were single (and some have blatantly lied in interviews/programs that they were single, when they were actually in a relationship).

Honestly, though, who are you to them that they have to inform you of their relationship status? What right do you have to need to know whether they are single or in a relationship? What right do you have to scold them and express your disappointment and anger in the fact that they did not make you aware of their relationship status? What right do you have to demand an apology for being “mocked” or “deceived”? Truthfully, I am sad; Baekhyun’s my bias so why wouldn’t I be? But just because I’m sad doesn’t mean I don’t accept them as a couple, that I don’t wish for their happiness together, that I hope for them to break up. Like, um, no.

Since when was love a sin? A crime?

Fans and Idols go together , therefore , fans can be either a curse or a blessing . It seems as though idols apologize to their fans because without the fans , the idols wouldn't be able to make it so far just on their own (fans = support group) . So I guess idols feel guilty that since fans are giving all their support that idols get hindered(?) By the thought that fans expect to know everything about the idol in return for support .

I think I went in a circle , but does that sort of make sense ? The fandom mentality .. But in all honestly a majority of the supposed "fans" directing anger and hate towards Taeyeon are actually anti-fans ..
