Why do you want to learn Chinese?

I want to learn Chinese because I want to be able to speak many languages to help me in the future. Like if there is someone who can't speak English and needs help translating, I would be able to help. I am also half Chinese but I never learned how to speak it. I wanted to take it in highschool, but they only have it for native speakers so this is a good chance for me to be able to learrn Chinese.
