Fanfics..

I really don't mean to be rude but I can't read some of the fanfics... I haven't been reading these for long but this is what I noticed about a lot of fanfics .. 

  1. The story plots are usually really basic; classmates falling in love, etc. I admit I do the "lab partner love story" sometimes but these types of stories are so unoriginal ... And it amazes how many people does this...
  2. The grammar gives me cancer; again I admit my grammar isn't good either but a lot of fanfics.. their grammar is so terrible that I just can't read it. Even if the plot is good and such, if the grammar is so bad, I just can't understand the story... And I am amazed how many fanfics I had to give up because of the grammar.. 

It may just be because I am (or was) a creative writing student, I was taught to be picky with this stuff... I don't know what the point of this blog post is but I just wanted to write about it.. Lol sorry

well hey if you're a writer... Please look at these two complaints and you can guide yourself to a more "improved" fanfic... Lol

Well just so you know, you're not alone in this lmao.

I absolutely agree with you. I too, have experienced these one too many times already. No matter how good a story flows, I really stop myself from reading further as soon as I realize how awful the grammar is. And sometimes even just for the sake of how I love that story, I convince myself 'i need to end this!' with a determined face lol.
