What's the Problem?

Ok I think someone has said something about this issue before, but it looks like things aren't changing much.

What's the problem?

I notice that in most of these AMBW fanfics, the girl is either light skinned or mixed with black and white or mixed with Asian. There is nothing wrong with using them it's just that they are being used in almost all the AMBW stories I've seen. I don't understand what's the problem using a black woman who isn't visibly mixed with anything or not mixed at all. I'm kind of mad about it because I think it's more of a deeper issue than just a fanfic. Women who are mixed or light skinned are not the only one's who are beautiful.

Brown skinned and dark skinned women are beautiful too. It's kind of upsetting that I'm having to explain this to women who should understand this. The world already tells us we aren't good or pretty enough unless we're mixed or light skinned, why are we doing this to each other now in these fanfics? I've haven't seen not even a hand full of AMBW stories where they use more than just light skinned or mixed women. Not unless I missed some by accident.

What's the problem?

As a black woman I don't relate to a lot of these stories. I know some of us have curves and I'm glad I'm seeing women embrace that. BUT, not all of us have curves for days. Some of us are petite. Some of us have more s than a . Some of us have more than s. Some of us don't have s or any at all. Some of us are heavy set. There are more body types than just the Beyonce curves.

There are some other issues I'm seeing but these are the one's I can think right off the top of my head. When I used to get up here and see a new AMBW story I used to get really excited about it. But when I open them up, I'm faced with disappointment time and time again with these problems that I listed above.

(I know it's your story and you have every right to put whatever and whoever you want in your stories, but come on now, use some versatility)
