Three Years Tinywings! (Recap of June 9th 2013 - June 8th)

Hello there! As the title says, today marks the three year existence of Tinywings! So... Time for a recap! Or, in other words, what have I done this year?

As some of you might already know, I spent the first semester in Hong Kong. So the summer vacation was spent packing, saying goodbye to my friends and some last-minute things for my application for the university there. I arrived around late August, and since then it has been a rollercoaster ride haha. Above is a picture I took myself, which is quite something seeing how my photo-taking skills are really not that wonderful. Hong Kong is a lot of fun. It is not a gem, as in that you will not be able to find breathtaking beauty (at least... that's my opinion) because Hong Kong is small and it is really just crowdy all the time, but it still has something.

I enjoyed my time in Hong Kong, exploring and seeing how the culture is. Since my both parents are Cantonese, I have always wanted to see how life in Hong Kong would be. So much different from my life here in this small, cold country, I learned. I met so many people from different countries, learned so much and broadened myself so much, it was really something I do not regret. True, the first week was somewhat hard to go through, being on the other side of the world, but you get used to it. The people in Hong Kong are so nice and although I remain somewhat critical about the school system and all, I have to admit it has been a very interesting semester for me and I really learned a lot, both inside as outside the lecture halls.

Living on the campus is not something I can do here in my university, since the university does not provide that kind of facilities, but in Hong Kong, I got my first roommate, ever. It was really something new, and I grew to like it haha. I just needed to learn how to live with another person in the same room, sharing actually... Everything. And fooling around in the hostel was one of the most enjoyable things, ever. Joining first-years activities for the sake of having fun and learning new people was another most memorable thing. Meeting Japanese, Chinese, Korean, American, and even fellow Dutch friends but many more was one of the most unforgettable things, ever. Having so many different courses and rushing from one lecture hall to another was a new experience but nevertheless something I will keep close to my heart nevertheless (secretly I love running). And lastly, this one semester was wonderful, simply wonderful.

But that is also why you most likely thought I was gone for that whole semester, because I was... Kind of... Gone. Not really, but still was haha. And when I came back, my own dear university found it was the time to give the students the amount of work load they would not even want to deal with themselves. Haha, do you see how dramatic I am writing this all? Oh gosh I have the feeling I really am writing about nothing at all. But yeah, I started posting again and starting spamming people again, so that's nice. The updates are coming way too slowly, but that really is just me. That is just me struggling with my forever problematic writing skills~

But yeah, that really is what happened. I am back for some months now, writing more hunhan then I would really want and less stories then I would really want. I am not leaving any time soon, so yeah, I am sorry but you are all kind of stuck with me.

And as always, thank you to all the wonderful people here. Without you all, it would not be the same. To all the beautiful souls, all my friends and readers, I love you all! No special letters this year because I am... Lazy. Not really, special letters just would not be the same if you would receive them too often haha. But you remain special in my heart! I wish everyone the best of luck and it is the start of a new year for me! Yeah!

And now it is time to stop this nonsense, because I realize I just wrote the most nonsense blog post ever. Yeah. Time to stop. Okay. Bye.

Have a nice day!
Tinywings
