Appearance.

~ Style on dressing:

Seoyoung is a very simple girl. She's the type to wear oversized white shirts and regular sweatpants or shorts to practice or to sleep. She enjoys her jeans, t-shirts, and cardigans. She mostly enjoys skinny jeans, jeggings, graphic tees, and flowy cardigans. She loves high heels because she feels more responsible and independent in them, but hates them because they're a pain to her feet and make her feel like a giant. She loves wearing sneaker - Nike, Reeboks, Converse, Vans, you name it, she's got it. Boots are a no-no for her, because they make her feel somewhat constricted. She also likes to wear regular maxi dresses and cocktail dresses around the town, though she does prefer jeans over dresses and skirts.

Personal information.

~ Personality:

On variety shows and such, Shin Seoyoung becomes the all-smiles member of Pierced. Every single day, Seoyoung has to act and stay optimistic. She will tend to be an enthusiastic, action-oriented individual who likes to say "Yes!" or "Let's go!" to opportunities for excitement. In groups she likes to talk and draw attention to herself. She's usually the very successful ice breaker on camera, saying silly jokes or simply making a smart and oblivious remark that will have everyone cracking up in the crew.

The Seoyoung onstage is the nation's Chic Fair, the nation's Transparent Butterfly. Now these nicknames weren't given out just like that, but they were earned. The reason why? Well despite the many categories and concepts of songs - cutesy, y, sorrowful, serious, etc. - Seoyoung will always make the song her own. She will adapt to it and get used to the feel of the song, and pretty soon she'll have the right facial expressions and body language. This is only one of the reasons on how she earned these well deserved nicknames. Another reason? She knows what to do at the right time without overdoing anything. Being the OCD diagnosed girl that she is, perfectness is what she always strives for. No mistakes or little slips must be found when she reviews over music shows.

But who exactly is Shin Seoyoung? Sometimes she doesn't even know herself. Becoming an idol required so many sacrifice, and one of those sacrifices was to give up privacy.

The real Shin Seoyoung is actually quite similar to her persona in some ways. She isn't easily upset and isn't very easily offended, but does hold grudges. She tends to always be calm, emotionally stable, and free from persistent negative feelings. She doesn't let past mistakes get to her. She is generally considerate, friendly, generous, helpful, and willing to compromise with others. She also has one heck of a sense of humor, even to the point that you feel an 8-pack building up.

Despite this, she is known for her blunt and truthful nature around the company and the singer does live up to those stories. Ask her if you look fat and she will tell you the truth even if it hurts. She's too loyal; she'll stick to something or someone until she feels as if the spark between them is blowing out. Then, and only then, will she make the last move and blow out the flame herself.

She might be another easy going person, but Seoyoung does have common sense. A little too much of it, to the extent that you'd want to kill her for it. Besides that, Sarcasm is her second language, after Korean and before Mandarin.

Her onstage persona may say so otherwise, but Seoyoung really doesn't have much self confidence. She is probably the most sensitive person you'd ever meet, and the smallest of insults will leave her thinking lowly of herself. She really isn't fierce and frigid, and only turns that way if and when someone says or does something unthinkable. Her typically small eyes will turn into a pair of slashes with all the glaring she'd be doing. Even with that though, Seoyoung will never dare to utter a single coarse word. She will not dare cross the line.

Everything has to be perfect in order to cross paths with Shin Seoyoung, and she will live up to that rule. She will have perfection one way or another, even if she would have to beg or punish. This isn't only because she is diagnosed with OCD though. She's just so used to growing up perfect - or at least trying to imitate flawlessness - that there is absolutely no way to deprive her from it. From waking up in the morning to singing to dancing, everything has to be on the dot.

Seoyoung is also very accountable and responsible. She takes her responsibilities very seriously, and is very dependable. She deeply values security and stability, and has a strong focus on the details of life. She sees before others do what needs to be done, and does whatever it takes to make sure that it gets done. She enjoys these types of tasks, and is extremely good at them. She carries herself with a great posture, talks responsibly, and takes on challenges that seem to possible for a girl with an innocent face like hers. She always holds assurance for herself buried deep inside and will share that assurance with everyone when needed. Seoyoung is well-organized and works fairly and properly towards every set goal. She usually puts others' needs before her own. These characteristics always fool everyone into thinking that she's older than she actually is.

Seoyoung is a natural leader, although she usually choose to remain in the background until she see a real need to take over the lead. When she is in leadership roles, she is quite effective, because she is able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and is adaptable enough to change things that aren't working well. She is a supreme strategists - always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against her current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency. This is because she is a people-focused individual, caring about the need of others more than her own. Because of this, she has excellent people skills. She understands and cares about people, and has a special talent for bringing out the best in others, either through force or through natural causes - i.e. practice. One of her main interest in life is giving love, support, and a good time to other people. She is mainly focused on understanding, supporting, and encouraging others. She is willing to and will make things happen for people, and gets personal satisfaction from this.

Stage information.

~ Position: Main Vocalist or Lead Vocalist

~ State why you deserve to the that position:

Even though singing never really was an interest in my life until the past four years, I've learned to love and enjoy its ways. I love how it feels to perfectly go through warm ups for my voice, how it feels to complete a whole song without any flat notes, and how it to be able to belt out notes, with my diaphragm or with falsetto. I love how I feel on stage, singing in front of people and making them feel happy and  enjoying themselves to the sound of my voice.

~ Personal fan club name: FairyTopia

Back ground:

~ Something about your past/childhood:

Born and raised in North Joella, Seoyoung's family never really was very wealthy. They lived off the pay of being farmer and fishermen folk. Because of this, the Shin children knew to appreciate what they had and never to take anything for granted. They all worked hard in school and so did their parents.

While their mother and father went to medical school, Seoyoung was offered a Student Exchange to a prestigious middle/high school, "Lycée International de Saint Germain-en-Laye", in France. Everyone encouraged her to take the opportunity so she did. So at the age of 13, the girl was sent to France for education purposes.

She stayed there until 18 - she was granted an extension - and only then did she decide to permanently go back to South Korea. The year was 2008 and while her mother finally got her degree to be a veterinarian, her father dead, her oldest sister was finishing up college and planning to get married with her long-term boyfriend, her older brother was out there in the entertainment world, and her youngest sister was out in the States with a scholarship at High Technology High School in New Jersey, she was still lost about her life choices. Did I mention? The family moved from North Jeolla to Seoul, to show their pride in their accomplishments.

But while her oldest sister was already on her to become a lawyer, Seoyoung still did not know what to do with her life. For that time, she decided, she wanted to major in English Lit. in the college she's been accepted to, Ewha Womans University. But in 2008, right in the middle of the second semester, one of her friends told her about auditions to an entertainment company. At first Seoyoung was very much against the idea of becoming a trainee, much less an idol, and refused to audition. However - one way or another - someone made her change her mind and she soon found herself standing onstage in a public audition in front of tens of people and five judges.

Surprisingly, the nervous girl was accepted, only after the last round between her and the male victor of course. Despite this, she was scared to death, almost to the point of wanting to reject the offer. However, the male victor managed to convince her to stay and train. Then it really wasn't her dream to become an idol, even though she did have a strong voice, but the male was so bent on making her stay, she just couldn't say no to his puppy-dog eyes.

She's trained three whole years and is ready to kick .

~ Back ground family:

Her family consists of a deceased father, a widowed mother, an older sister, and older brother, and a younger sister, all who are fully Korean.

~ Tell me something about your dad:

| Shin Youngsoo | Father | [would be] 56 years old | Physical Therapist | He was born and raised in Ulsan, South Korea in a family of the lower-class. Without the money, he dropped out of second year high school, but is very wise. He and Seoyoung are very close; she's his little princess. Even though she isn't youngest child, he spoiled her the most. He died when Seoyoung was 15 years old due to seizure but his memory still lives on with her.

~ Tell me something about your mum:

| Park Saekyung | Mother | 54 years old | Pediatrician | She was born and raised in Jeonju, North Joella, South Korea as the daughter of middle-class parents. She went to school diligently and always came home as one of the Top 5 - if not the very top - of her grade. Seoyoung and her mother really aren't the best of friends since it wasn't Seoyoung's mother's dream for her to become an idol, but a doctor.

~ Tell me something about your siblings:

| Shin Yoojin | Older Sister | 25 years old | Lawyer | She's very serious and studious, and hardly ever laughs. She's often referred to as the 'black hole' of the family because of this. The only times she really opens up is when she's with her husband of a year and rarely to even her own family.

| Shin Soohyun | Older Brother | 22 years old | Member of U-Kiss | He can come off having a hard shell on the outside and is often predicted to be a cold 'monster', but he really is a sensitive sweetheart inside. They're very close because they both love to laugh, sing, and are plainly the "disappointments" of the Shin family for pursuing the idol careers. He's very overprotective over his younger siblings, even to their oldest sister, and will go the extremes to make sure everyone is happy and stays happy.

| Shin Saerin | Younger Sister | 19 years old | College student @ Ewha Womans University | She's the youngest one in the family and is probably the bratiest one. Like any other older sibling, Seoyoung finds her whines, complaints, and all in all complete existence completely and utterly annoying. If only time could be reversed...

Relationship status.

~ Lover:

| Sunggyu

or

| Dongwoo

~ Love storyline with your bias:

| Sunggyu: All in all, it was actually a pleasant way to meet.

It was during 2007 and Seoyoung was home in South Korea for a short vacation. Some of her friends finally convinced her to going on a blind date. Yoon Kyungjae, they said his name was. But keep in mind, Seoyoung wasn't as fond of boys as she could have been, so she really was dreading the day of the date.

Anyway, there she was just sitting at a booth near the windows at a beautiful café when a bouquet of roses landed in front of her. She never liked roses because they were just so overrated and immediately made a face at them, way before even looking up at who dropped them on the table. "What are these? Get them away now." were literally the first words she spoke to her blind date. When she finally looked up, she saw his stunned expression. She just glared at him. Yes, I suppose he was cute to her, but it certainly didn't show on her hard expression. Long story short, she had him running away from the café in no time. And yes, she threw the flowers at him made him take the stupid flowers with him.

Just like in the beginning, she was left there just sitting, posture upright with an uninterested expression. She really wasn't ecstatic that the date didn't turn out well, nor was she upset that she just made a guy run away from her. She was actually feeling pretty neutral. Admittedly, yes, she was somewhat disappointed that she didn't get to talk to him, but there really was nothing she could do ti reverse what she had already done.

So there she was just sitting there when another guy plopped down on the chair opposite of her. She looked up to see his charming face. 'Cute,' she thought, and immediately felt disgusted that she even thought that. Who was he and why was he there were the next things that came to mind. At first she thought her friends were spying on her and saw her blind date run out and so they payed some random stranger to cheer her up, but she was wrong.

"I'm Sunggyu," he introduced himself, holding out his hand for her to take, "Kim Sunggyu." As embarrassing as it was, she just stared at his outstretched hand for a few minutes until she finally got the courage to shake it. "Shin Seoyoung. Why exactly are you here?"

He chuckled slightly and looked down, his brows furrowed as he studied the pattern of the tablecloth. "I saw what happened there. I never knew a human being could run so fast."

She honestly could have punched him right there.

Sensing her building anger, he quickly recovered, "Don't worry about it. My date stood me up," he announced bitterly.

And everything seemed to fall into place after that. They talked for what seemed like days, but ended up only lasting an hour or so. They didn't get to exchange numbers that day because apparently, there was something he had to attend. All contact between them was lost until 2008, when they met again at WOOLLIM Entertainment's recruit. There really was a brief rivalry between them, but when both were accepted into the company, things got better. They started to train alongside each other and caught up. But as it turns out, being with a guy as his best friend for too long will earn you feelings for him.

| Dongwoo: To be honest, he annoyed Seoyoung from the moment they met. It wasn't really the most pleasant was to meet since he had spilled his coffee all over her.

It was a regular day and Seoyoung was just minding her own business, stretching and getting ready to excersise. With her iPod on and in her ears, she was  at peace. She was still completely aware of her surroundings though, and she did notice another trainee come inside the gym. It was a guy. But she ignored him since he was practically at the other side of the room. Plus she couldn't afford any distractions; she gained weight because of the Chuseok dinner her mother prepared two days ago.

So there she was, doing her regular abs work when she suddenly felt his presence beside her. She looked over to the left to find Mr. Jang Dongwoo, the one known around the company for his dancing and rapping, with a goofy smile. He got on the treadmill and pushed the power button, waving hi at her at the same time. She pretended not to notice him and closed her eyes once more. 'No distractions,' she told herself.

It had been about five minutes later when she heard him start panting loudly through her music. She stopped her crunches with a scowl and turned her iPod off. She walked over to him and slowed the speed of the treadmill. "If you can't handle that pace then don't even try. Take it slowly," she muttered.

He stuttered in embarrassment and took his mug filled with black coffee as a distraction from the current situation.

Seoyoung actually had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. 'Boys will be boys.' So she turned around to continue with her workout plan when shhe heard a loud "WAIT!"

But before she could even turn around to ask what he needed, Seoyoung felt a scalding hot substance make contact with her back. Out of instinct and pain, she screamed loudly and simultaneously and started fanning her back. Dongwoo just stood there in surprise as other trainees started piling into the gym to see what was the matter.

All Seoyoung could do to prevent the tears from falling was to glare at him, and she succeeded until a company executive rushed inside the gym to take her to the hospital wing. It turned out that she had a second degree burn from the coffee. She was advised to keep away from training activities for at least 3 weeks in order for her to recover.

She followed directions and stayed away from the company building and stayed with her older brother who was responsible for taking care of her. After three weeks though, she came back. And the first thing she did? She slapped Jang Dongwoo hard across the face. He deserved it. But back then, who knew so much hate could turn into the complete opposite?

~ Describe your bias personality during the story:

| Sunggyu: He has an attentive personality. He's very observant and alert, even though he may come off as a shy and reserved guy. Almost always calm and collective, Sunggyu was unbelievably in a rock band in his senior year of high school. He is quiet most of the time - usually because he's bored/mad/upset/spacing-out/tired - and always seems to keep on expression, the Neutral Face.

He may be like this, but there is another side to Kim Sunggyu. He likes to tell cheesy jokes and laughs at them himself since it doesn't really take much effort to make him laugh. When he does laugh, his eyes will shrink to the point that you can barely tell they're there. He's told that he resembles a hamster when this happens, though he believes that he always looks like one. He is also very sensitive and easily hurt. He isn't one to hold grudges and has a really soft, warm heart. He's very oblivious and quite easy to fool, even though his pranks are always top notch. He hates to say goodbye. He doesn't really like to show negative feelings such as sadness and disappointment and will keep those feelings to himself.

Despite this, he always desires perfection. This is because his parents rejected his dream of becoming a singer. He works hard to prove to them that he does have talent and he does deserve to be a singer. He's strict and very cautious of his every move, always making sure that they're precise. No slip ups must be found, or else he will become infuriated. In spite of this, he is very patient but people always try not to get him upset due to his weak heart (he has a cabinet full of medicines alone) but things don't always go as planned. He chooses to drink Soju when he's stressed.

Sunggyu can literally go from a Happy-Go-Lucky guy to a My-Word-Is-Law type of guy. It's actually scary how he can play both parts so well.

| Dongwoo: There are two words used to describe accurately Dongwoo, and they would be Sleep and Laughter. They both happen to be things that when he starts you can't get him to stop.

Being around Dongwoo is like taking 3586830577049626940 Happy-Pills, your mood instantly skyrockets. He's so bright and full of energy that it's so hard to believe he can  also be that one guy with the overflowing charisma on stage.

~ Do you want your storyline with your bias included with rated scenes: Whatever you find more comfortable, honestly. Some kisses, hugs, etc. would be great though.

~ Rival:

| Yoo Jooyi | 21 years old | Member of RaNia | First of all, they really aren't rivals. They never were, nor will they ever be. They're good friends and nothing will change that. It was basically the netizens' faults. People found that their voices were very similar - somewhat husky and have a wide range - and started to compare them to each other, from looks to popularity. It's all in people's heads, the whole thing.

~ Best friend:

| Kim Taeyeon | 22 years old | Girls' Generation Leader |  She is actually very mature, persistent and thoughtful which is a big contrast to her innocent and childish appearance. In truth she is a dork and somewhat a , but she lovable nonetheless. They both grew up in North Jeolla together in the same neighborhood. They've been friends literally since diapers, while - ironically - their moms were friends since primary school. The two are practically sister. Though the gap isn't very large and Seoyoung is considered to be in the early 89 line, Taeyeon always treats Seoyoung as her younger sister, worrying and fussing about the smallest things and vice versa. They love each other and support each other 110%.

| Son Gain | 24 years old | Brown Eyed Girls Member | She's pretty straightforward and loves to be the leader. She isn't exactly the best at leading, but she does love to order people around. Outside is a y and charismatic person, when inside there's a cute and innocent girl. She's very humorous and has LOL worthy comments. They met one day back in 2009 when B.E.G. was filming the Abracadabra music video. The girls had grown tired and the set manager let them take a brake. They all went their separate ways, and luckily enough, Gain went into the cafe Seoyoung worked in. Seoyoung served her and their friendship really hit off from there. They love to tease each other and show a lot of kinship and their friendship on national TV. They are often called "The Cat Eyed Duo" due to their minuscule eyes.
