We Have Rules For A Reason

So lately I've been hearing people complain about an author who got banned from posting a heavily rated comic on here that revealed very provactative images in it. Now I don't have a problem with things like that (I read after all and some mangas) but there's a rule on AFF that clearly says you are not to post images anywhere. The author didn't know about that I guess so that's understandable, but what bugs me is some of her fans are going after the mods and calling them 'mean' or people are 'jealous' because of how creative she was.

The comic is a good idea, but AFF is not the place to post hardcore rated graphics.

You might ask 'Well what's the difference with a hardcore fic and graphic?' I guess there really isn't...but with writing you can visualize the things in your mind I guess and you aren't actually seeing it but reading it.

The mods are just doing their job. If you don't like the rules on AFF there's plenty of other sites you can go on, we don't need negative attitudes on this site. I'll even list many sites that allow explict content like ArchiveofOurOwn  or AdultFanfiction but even they have certain things you can/cannot post.

Rules are rules. We have them on here for multiple reasons. If you don't like them? You either deal with it and it up or leave your choice.

And that's all I'll say for now.

No other fanfiction site out there allows it, I don't know why people are getting mad lmao it's not like this is a new thing...comms on LJ have their own rules, but fanfiction sites in general don't allow ography, no matter what kind of visual (real or drawn) it is.

Rules are meant to be broken.
That's how life is. One day, they'll shut up for sure.
