I heard a girl scream when I was outside taking a walk. Surprised, I went to see what was wrong. I saw a girl sitting in front of what looked like a huge iron plate—it must have been about 2 meters wide, 2 meters long, and 50 centimeters thick.

I tried talking to her, but maybe she was too shocked or something, because she couldn’t speak. A man dressed in work clothes came immediately and explained what had happened. He said that somehow, the plate had been dropped from the top of the building during construction. Luckily no one had been hurt; the girl was only scared out of her wits. Still, the large black iron plate sitting on top of the red tiles was really eerie.
 

As the sun was going down, I got tired of walking. I went by the scene again.
 

The iron plate was still there. I guess it was too heavy to get rid of yet. There was an officer standing by warning people not to go near because it was dangerous.
 

The girl from before was there, too. I tried talking to her again.
 

“You must have been pretty scared earlier.”

“Yea, I was. The scream really surprised me,” she replied.
