Dara (or Sandy as we call her back then) was a former classmate in my voice class around 10? 11? Years ago.. We never talked (casually like a friend), just a simple hi/hello.  Maybe because of the language barrier.. I wasn't so used to speaking in english then. After the recital, i didnt see her anymore.. And then boom, she was on the TV. A contestant on SCQ. I even told my mom, "look! Sandy's on TV oh." Then just like that, i watched her pave her career, while I, stay where i am..

fast forward.. Now, she's one of the biggest star in Korea. Half (if not the whole) of the world knows her. Admire her. I find it amusing that this once quiet girl, is now on top, performing for the world to see. (Its not even a bubbly/cutesy genre). I am proud to see this unnie claim what she had always wanted. I'll always watch her from afar and be proud that i had once known her.

p.s. She still looks almost the same 10 years ago.. Maybe just more sophisticated/chic, now.
