Hey bubblies!

This might not exactly be the update you'd expected; sorry for the delay on any of the stories. I haven't been posting lately, but with all the confusion and ruckus about Kris filing a lawsuit to terminate his contract from SM, everything in my fanfics have gone cray.

See, the thing is, if you directly clicked on this link, you might be subscribed to one of my stories. And consequently, all of my stories have Kris in it one way or another -- like no joke, all of them have Kris. Kris is my ultimate bias in EXO and I respect his decision for leaving and all, considering that SMEnt is a company (at least, their CEO who is not Lee Soo Man anymore). Although EXO members are "forced" by the company to lash out at Kris or at the very least act like they're shunning him, I'm sure they don't given they know exactly where Kris is coming from and how the fans don't believe one second that the members are actually hating on him (just look at the hundreds of comments on Instagram and YouTube and all their other social media sites).

Anyway. That's kind of the background gist of what I'm actually getting to. Google the lawsuit if you're interested in it. Really, you can just type "kris exo" and those articles from various websites are all that ever pop up.

In the stories that I have out right now (You're My XOXO, a oneshot collection featuring ships in which many are of Kris; Just a Geek, a oneshot featuring the Kray ship; Of Pandamonium and Dragon Breath, a chaptered Taoris fic revolving around Tao writing entries in his diaries about Kris; and Those Killer Angels, a chaptered fic in which all the EXO members are strange creatures and a human being discovers them for what they are, with Kris as a strong major character) Kris is usually the main character. And I have no problem continuing the stories in which I already have a plot and a layout for, it just seems...wrong to continue writing about Kris mushed with EXO as if none of this is happening.

I love, love, love (hehe...see what I did there) Kris and I completely support his forthcomings to leave the band 110 percent, but I'm sitting here being shallow and thinking...

What happens to all the Kris stories on AFF?!

At the time I am writing this, the AFF tag "kris" is 16th of most popular tags, with about 17,699 stories tagged with his name (I contributed to that amount, yay, leave a thought down in the comments -- did you write a story tagged "kris"?). The most subscribed-to story on AFF currently is still My Next-Door Idiot, featuring Kris and written by Lambchop (I thought since I mentioned the story I might as well give you the link, if you haven't read it already). That's great that Kris is so popular around here, but my question is: What do we do with all of these stories?!?!? I don't think it's exactly offensive if his fandom is still trying to get him back with EXO, or writing about him and EXO and still shipping him with EXO members, etc. (although that's probably awk-as-eff in itself) but maybe it's just me; it doesn't feel right to continue shipping him with his bandmates (possibly soon-to-be ex-bandmates). 

And for my own matters, I'm having a hard time splitting between whether I should completely erase Kris from EXO stories that I write, or still write about him like nothing happened. He's just an amazing character to insert in stories and mold a brilliant plot around, and I've seen authors depict him with a hundred different personalities. Without him, there's practically no meaning in any of my EXO stories, given he's almost always the main character and always a strong character.

And it seems strange especially when it's a fic about Kris and another member or an EXO fic with all the members together, because Mr. Damn-Fine-Duizhang over here clearly wants out. I doubt he's going to be leaving for another entertainment company -- he seems more like an excellent supermodel or designer to me -- but wherever he's going, he's going to be wanted. It'll be a well-deserved slap to the face to the biggest Korean entertainment company ever; who won't want to hire this insanely tall and y god (not to mention talented in the facets of rap and language)? But whatever he might do, it probably won't ever clash fates with EXO, his past.

I would still greatly miss him if that ever does happen; although his decisions are his, EXO just doesn't seem like EXO without Kris.

But, this is all to assume that Kris does win the lawsuit and does manage to terminate the contract. The news only came out yesterday morning for me, on May 15th. I am very sure this is not a rumor, given all the information and what Kris posted on Instagram, but I'm still being very hypothetical here. There is a chance that he might not win the lawsuit, and who knows what he'll have to do for the richest man in Korea then (aka, current CEO of SMEnt).

EXO fans have always seemed completely out of their minds to me (sorry if I offend anyone -- I just think they're great characters to write about and form plots on, but I'm not exactly a diehard EXOtic myself). But these fans know exactly what they're doing when they're supporting Kris on his decision, no matter what happens although I'm sure if EXO members were doing drugs saesaengs would find a reason to justify that...is that just me, or-? just me? okay.

Go Kris.
