Seeing she was raised in a small fishing neighborhood in Mokpo by her grandparents, she was raised to be a good stay at home mom and wife since no one ever believed in her dreams. She is the mother type of leader. She respects everyone equally, be it older or younger than her, she believes respect and patience is the key to any good relationship. She is quite bossy since she was the daughter of a ship captain, who sadly died in an accident in his boat.She is really simple and not really bright when it comes to her education so she would prefer not talking at all and just singing but everything she does is from her heart.

  She sometimes has a hard time controlling her emotions and has a major problem controlling her anger which sometimes makes her do abrupt things. She never thinks she's apologized enough if she or her members have done anything wrong. Once she got a hang on Twitter she never stops tweeting about her life which has made her a lot more open about how she feels which has been good in her development as a person. She cannot help but worry about every small thing people don't pay attention to which makes her a very cautious person and a great leader. She is the type that tries to keep her group away from scandals by setting their own set of rules in the dorm like: cell phone hours, going outside hours and things like that. She sometimes is over-protective but she doesn't notice and needs members to tell her.

 She always gives the 110% for her group, if a member is sick she takes care of her, if she is sick she hides it until the show is over with a big bright smile. She is organized about her life which is why the company saw her as a leader. She had discipline when it didn't involve food but they understood her and helped her evolve into a beautiful person. Coming from a humble and small fishing family, she has a big heart, she just needed some people -her fans- to open it. She is the type that after she finishes long hours of practicing and she sees taht all her members are sleeping and well fed, she can cry of relief.

Lee Sae Young was born in a small fisher town in Mokpo, South Korea. Her young mother 19 years old when she had her, ran away leaving the baby at her parents' doorstep for her to raise. To this day, her mother has no appeared or tried to make contact with her daughter. Between fishing with her grandfather and helping her grandmother around the house, she got to listen to a grand deal of trot songs and she discovered that what she wanted to do was sing. She was raised by her grandparents and father until he died later on in her life. Her family was small and humble, she didn't have any uncles from her mother's part of the family and she counts with only one aunt from her father's part. She had a normal childhood: friends, games and school. She was a great student until she hit middle school, when she received the news of her father's death she sunk into depression. Her grades fell and she refused to eat for a great deal of time.

 It took her almost two years to recover from her depression but she never really got over it. When she was entering high school she decided that she wanted to move to Seoul with her aunt since the lady would be living alone. She had and still has a bit of trouble adjusting with the big bright city but she admits that it was worth it. While in Seoul she was introduced to different genres of music but she still had trot in her heart. At the age of 16, her aunt met a man who worked for Stardom Ent. as a janitor but he couldn't help but suggest to Sae Young that she auditioned for Stardom after hearing her singing.

 She always said: "I want a man that can take care of me, that understands my troubles as an idol and as a human being. Someone that respects their parents and that will let me love my grandparents and take care of them until the end. Someone that won't have any trouble at the moment of getting related to my group or family. Someone I can love and respect and that he can do the same for me."

 Since he heard that while listening to her groups Radio Show he tried everything to be able to meet her. He is in love with her smile and how she isn't afraid to tell the world who she really is. He respects her the way she is and treats her right, he has never tried to surpass the limit she had set from the start of their relationship. He loves how she can be pure and at the same time mature enough to lead a group of 9 girls. He as a leader understands the hardships of being a leader and always tries to help her when trouble arises. They are both somehow shy when it comes to skin-ship but at the moment of saying goodbye this is forgotten by the both of them.

They always try to stay in contact: "Try calling three times, if I don't answer leave me a text message, if I still don't answer e-mail me, sleep and wait till the other day". They are both kind of shy at the mention of each other which is why since the beginning they tried to keep it a secret from everyone. He likes to make fun of her by calling her "Stella" which he knows kind of annoys her but at the end he somehow makes her smile. She is the type of the "good morning" and "good night" text messages and this always makes him smile. They started off as best friends which is why they are shy of kissing and stuff, it feels weird for them. They are sensitive when one of the two is involved in some kind of problem and when trouble arises they always arrange to meet, they simply cannot live without each other.
