PERSONALITY: Ji Hoon may be 22 age wise, but mentally he is a child. His childishness attracts people to him. He can talk to anyone for hours and hours without stopping, because he really does not care of what people think of him. He only cares about what his friends think of him. He's always out and about being the social butterfly that he is. He can never sit still and always has to be occupied with doing something. With that being said, boredom is his biggest enemy. Most people don't take Ji Hoon seriously. He's seen as the energetic little demon who's lovable but annoying. This doesn't really mind him, but people don't usually see how hard he works for something he wants. The thing about Ji Hoon is that if he wants something, he'll make sure that he earned it. He hates to get whatever he wants without working for it.

Ji Hoon is a generally straightforward guy. He if likes or dislikes something or someone he'll say it without any hesitations. He's also the type of guy who does not take no for an answer. Most people can sometimes be put off because of his straightforwardness, but Ji Hoon doesn't mind. He'll say whatever he wants to say to anyone. So yeah, that filter in your mind that tells you to say something at a specific time doesn't exist for Ji Hoon. Thus this results in Ji Hoon being the perfect victim for a slap on the back of the head from s. He's treated like he's the youngest. Always getting bossed around and getting picked on, but Ji Hoon always plays along. He doesn't take any teasing to heart, instead he just teases back. One of the reasons why Ji Hoon is just so great at socializing is because he makes people around him feel comfortable. He's an easy guy to talk to, and he can twist a boring conversation, to a random, weird and hilarious one. He can make the shyest people come out of their shell with just a little effort, and he loves doing this. Making people feel good and making them laugh and smile will always be something that Ji Hoon enjoys. That's the reason why he's not embarrassed about making a fool out of himself.

Something really great and terrible about Ji Hoon is his kindness. He's always genuinely concerned for others, and that can be taken advantage of easily. Ji Hoon can be easily fooled because he's always worried for others. He can't see through other people's lies easily. Because of his extreme kindness, he forgives and forgets easily. He doesn't have that big of a pride, so he'll be the one to apologize first. Ji Hoon never really takes care of himself. Instead he likes taking care of others, and even if he's hurt or upset, he'll put on that charming smile of his and pretend that nothing is wrong. He keeps his anger and sadness bottled up and locked deep inside him. He stays on the positive side all the time, but it's only a matter of time before all that anger and sadness will explode and burst out of him.

Although it has been established that Ji Hoon treats everyone equally, if you look a little closer, he acts with different people differently. With his close friends, he teases them and annoys them to no end. They just always want to hit his head with something hard, but they still love him. He still makes them laugh and if they ever need help, Ji Hoon will always have their back. He is loyal to the ones he loves. With people he isn't as close to, he'll joke around more and tease a little less. He'll probably mention random things in the middle of a conversation and he'll act like a five year old that has overdosed on chocolate. With his enemies, there's only one think he keeps in his mind. Kill them with kindness. His clever, witty and ' I'm better than you so back up' side comes out. He still always plays around with them and makes them want to pull their hair out because Ji Hoon frustrates them. Of course Ji Hoon enjoys seeing them like that. With people he has crushes on, well he actually tells them straight on if he likes them. It doesn't matter if they like him back or not, he'll make sure that the other person will accept him. He'll be kind and loyal to them and get them the things that they love. Of course he'll always tease them because teasing is his specialty.

Ji Hoon is probably the king on interviews and variety shows. He'll talk and he'll make people laugh. Basically on screen, he's the same as he is off screen. Of course s are always pestering him to be more careful with what he says on screen, which he tries hard to do, but it's hard to hold back for him. 

BACKGROUND: Born and raised in Gangnam-do in the Cheongdam-dong district in South Korea, Ji Hoon had a fairly easy life. He was born into a loving couple with the wife working as a doctor and the husband as a child therapist. His first four years in life was great. But as soon as he hit five years, his family shattered and fell apart. His parents started out from small arguments to having plates and books smashed on the ground with yelling. His parents were too occupied with work and didn't have enough time for themselves, each other and let alone Ji Hoon himself. But they didn't get divorced for later. So Ji Hoon had to grow up with his forever fighting parents. He went to school and while the kids always talked about how great their parents were. Ji Hoon always kept silent about it. Between his parents, all he was to them was their messenger. Always had to tell one parent what the other parent wants to tell them. He was honestly sick of it, but he stuck with it because he didn't want to complain.

In middle school, his parents finally got divorced. Ji Hoon wasn't surprised when he heard the news. He accepted it like it was the most normal thing on Earth. He lived with his mother for two months then with his father for another two months and he switched back and forth like that. He hated returning home to either of them because they would just tell him the same thing they always tell him. "Work hard in school if you want to be successful in life." Well, at least there's one thing both parents agree on. So to keep himself form returning home faster, he hung around with friends more and started to be more social.

In high school Ji Hoon picked up a new interest to keep himself occupied. He started teaching himself how to play the guitar. By the the end of his second year of high school, Ji Hoon taught himself how to play the electric and the acoustic guitar. From then on he loved music. In his third year of high school, he took and interest in singing. He signed himself up for vocal lessons, and he truly enjoyed it. He'll always lock himself in his room, pull out his guitar and start singing. His parents opposed his love for music. At first they thought of it as a harmless hobby, but when Ji Hoon told them he wants to do music as a career, they were strongly against it. But Ji Hoon kept on playing and singing. One time his mother got so angry, she smashed his guitar and burned it. Ji Hoon was clearly upset about this, and his will for becoming a singer became even stronger.

Putting his parents aside for a while, Ji Hoon had a fair amount of relationships in high school. They never lasted that long though. He dated some girls, but he was never that attracted to them. He secretly dated a guy in his third year of high school, and he enjoyed having him as a boyfriend. He realized that he was gay and admitting this to himself was not easy. But he kept it secret from everyone else except his best friend.

Ji Hoon, having enough of his parents, moved out and got a small apartment in Seoul with his best friend. Ji Hoon worked in a club and played guitar and sang there, while his friend was the drummer. They got a couple of other guys to join them too. His parents weren't too happy about it, but he didn't care anymore. He barely spoke to them anymore. He tries to hide is anger and sadness towards his parents. Ji Hoon started auditioning to become a singer and show his parents how great he can be, which eventually brought him to J&C Media.

IDEAL: Ji Hoon doesn't really believe in ideal types because the person he might end up with could be the complete opposite of what he had in mind. But if he had to say, it would be someone who can put up with him and can understand him. Someone who's always there for him and appreciated him. Ji Hoon, although he never says it or shows it, loves attention. He loves it if someone gives all their attention to him.
