We're, where, were/They're,their/His,he's/It's,its/Your,you're ARE NOT THE SAME !!
Aigoo, I normally don't complain about grammar issues but there's those mistakes that I just want to rip my eyes off and throw them outside the window. I'm not even a native English speaker, but what impresses me the most is that there's native speakers who do these mistakes as well.
People, PLEASE READ.
WE'RE stands for WE ARE: Meaning you, together with some people, ARE doing something in that moment or you have a certain trait.
Ex: We are cool (Meaning you and the people that are with you have coolness)
WHERE refers to the specific location of a place.
Ex: Where are you ? I'm next to your bedroom.
WERE is the verb TO BE in PLURAL in PAST SIMPLE form.
Ex: We were young back then.
THEY'RE stands for THEY ARE. Meaning a group of people you know ARE doing something or have a certain trait.
Ex: They're drinking Coke.
THEIR expresses belonging of something or someone to the third person in plural, THEY.
Ex. It's their dog. That dog belongs to them.
HIS expresses belonging of something or someone to the third person in masculine in singular, HE.
Ex: It's his notebook. This notebook belongs to him.
HE'S stands for HE IS. Form of the verb TO BE, third person singular in masculine.
Ex: He's blond. (Meaning his hair's color is blond).
IT'S stands for IT IS. Present simple form of verb TO BE, 3rd person for objects, things or animals.
Ex: It's a Beagle (Meaning the dog's breed is Beagle)
ITS expresses possession/belonging of something or someone to the 3rd person that stands for objects, things or animals, IT.
Ex: The country and its people. The people of the country.
YOUR expresses belonging of something or someone to the second person either in singular or plural, YOU.
Ex: I found your red bag. I found the red bag that belongs to you.
YOU'RE stands for YOU ARE. Present simple of verb TO BE, second person for either plural or singular.
Ex: You're special.
AND THERE'S A BUNCH MORE BUT THESE ARE SO BLOODLY BASICAL THAT I JUST AHHH.
Of course I understand there's some people that aren't that good at English, but the effort to actually learn a word might do all the difference !
Hope this was helpful.
