What's the best way of getting more karma points?

Hi! Erm.. I'm just curious. I've always wanted to join the bidding, unfortunately, everytime I bid, I get beaten since I lack in karma points. Currently I have 7000+ karma pts, which I know is pretty low to participate in bidding, so I just want to ask what's the best way in earning more karma points..

comment, comment, comment. Add a lot of active users who always blog about their lives and coomment comment comment!
Also make stories and set it to subs only. That's my way...
