The Eurovision Song Contest Of 2014

Eurovision song contest is a song contest between all the countries in Europe. People can vote who's song thei liked the best, but not their own country. The 59th annual Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark this year. Since the last year's winner Emmelie de Forest with a song "Only Teardrops" (a song I liked quite a lot) won.

Out of all this year's performances, I personally like Austria's song a lot more than the other countries' choices. I have to say that my country's choice wasn't bad, but still Austria's song is more to my liking. The song is by Conchita Wurst and it's called "Rise Like A Phoenix".

She has powerful vocals and I just don't understand why people judge the performance just because of her appearance. Eurovisions are about the music, performance and not about the looks of the singer(s). I don't care if Conchita Wurst is a he or a she. One thing is for sure: that person's got some awesome singing skills! Those long notes O.o Impressive! This song gives me some James Bond vibes and it would suit for a track in a Bond movie. I've had that song on repeat for good three hours now and counting, I'm not joking.

Tell me what you think about Conchita Wurst's song. I really want to know does anyone else like that song or have an opinion on this matter.

What is your favourite out of this year's songs? Do you watch the Eurovisions? Have you ever heard of it?

Oh, I watch the Eurovision too! Although I find 90% of it lame, it's one of the few family traditions I stick to so I can't miss a single year, haha. But yeah I agree, Rise like a Pheonix was actually rather good ^^
I'm ashamed though because Sweden (my country obviously) sent a really boring song... Not that we'd really have a chance of winning anyway since we won a couple of years ago, but still.

Most songs in the Eurovision are either lame or really weird it always brings at least some good songs (like last years winner ^^ I loved that song<3) and it's always fun too guess who'll win.
