Cheat Sheet

So here's the Cheat Sheet for the Review
Please be reminded that these are just my thoughts & suggestions.

❂ ❂ ❂

Title:

This should be catchy & unique.

Font Style:

Preferred fonts: Georgia, Verdana, Times New Roman, Calibri, Tahoma, Arial, & Trebuchet MS.
This may sound weird but, it's easier to read with this fonts.

Color: please avoid using colors that is so hard to decipher.

Description:

This part here should explain what your story would be about, it can contain a summary or a glimpse of the plot, the copyright rights, or even some facts about the story like its genre. State the important facts.

Foreword:

In this section you should put an introductory or a short part of your story like a prolouge that would somehow show the characters that you wish to put emphasis on. You can also put the character/s and their description, and your author's note. You can place your trailer here, or poster credits. State the important facts.

Plot:

Make it interesting. Cliche's is common, but we would like it if you can put more twists in your story, just make sure that it's still related to your title.

 Flow:

Fast paced stories gives off the excitement, slow paced stories prolongs the readers agony in reading and the excitement can vanish. Make sure that your story is moderatly fast and slow at the same time.

Tenses:

There are three major tenses: Past, Present, and Future tense. But let's cancel off the futire tense since most authors here in AFF, in wattpad, and in some books uses Past and Present.

please take note that once you start writing your fanfiction please be aware of what form of tense you are going to use. If you started off with a Past tense you should also finish it in a past tense.

Don't start off with a had and end up with has in your story.

P.O.V:

You can use which ever point of view you want. May it be in the 3rd person, 2nd person or first person's point of view, you did great in some of the chapters but in the last updated chapter you should refrain in putting 3 point of views. reason, it'll look crowded or even messy at some point. 2 point of views is acceptable. If you want to show another point of view, try putting it in another chapter.

Punctuations:

Do not use or repeat any punctuations in a sentence, a reader can guess if the character is angry or surprised with one exclamation point. Avoid writing like this:

"Stop! You!"

Exclamation points are sometimes used to end a sentence so if you have a follow up conversation line after the first one, put a separator or uh-something that could make it look connected:

"Stop!", she yelled, "You ungrateful brat!"

The red colored words together with the comma acts as the connector for both sentences.

Spacing:

Please put spaces between your conversations. Don't make it look compressed or crowded, it'll make the lines look connected even though it is spoken by different persons.
