Hometown&birthplace: Vancouver, Canada & Beijing, China
ethnicity: Chinese

Personality:

Lyn is good in management, especially people. She's aware of it and is very proud of it. It was gained through years of experience from taking care of four brothers, as well as her jobs that need her to deal with all kinds of people. She's also very organized in everything she does, an important criteria needed to be a manager.

She's a workaholic like her mother, so she rarely complains about things reagrding her works even if she got her hands full on it, but it doesn't mean that she dislikes to be given holidays. She loves holidays if it meant she could enjoy her time going for trips around the world. Besides that, she knows how to handle stress well. She's easy to talk to whenever you decide to intiate a conversation, and she would always give you her full attention to whatever you wanted to talk about. She listens well and never really interrupt you unless needed. She's also a very trustworthy person. She hates nagging when it comes to managing someone. She tried to understand them well and attacked them on their weakness whenever she would like to put someone under control.

She's a mother hen when it comes to her brothers as well as her charges. No one would get to them unless they get through her first. She loves to do volunteering job to help people instead of donating money. She's a big eater and could hold her drinks well even if she didn't seem like one, and she never tries to hide the fact since she would never reject any offer for a good delicious meal. She loves eating, but she hates cooking. It doesn't mean that she can't cook though, she just hates cooking, even for herself so anyone who knew her would knew that she likes to have take-outs almost for every meal.

Being her organized self, she takes good care of her health. She would go for morning jogs whenever shehad the chance to, or if not, she would often took on stairs instead of elevators in the company. She also loved outdoor activities, especially extremem sports like mountain climbing or skydiving etc. For indoors, she loved activities that she considers to be able to strengthen bonds like twister, card games.

Two things that really ticks her off are gossipping and unorganized schedule. Even before joining the company, she rarely gossips or even care about gossips and rumors, but after joining the company, she hates it even more, because almost everyday, a new gossip will appear, and it really hards to tell which is right and which is wrong. And she really felt like she was intruding of other people's privacy whenever she listens to gossips or rumor. Secondly, she really hates it when new things are to be suddenly added in the last minute after everything had been arranged organizely. Being an organized person, this particular matter is the only thing that could easily wear her patience out almost immediately. And this is the occasion where she would complained and nags non-stop about.

In addition to being an organized person, she's also a neatfreak. She couldn't stand messes so she rarely entered the boys' dormitories, afraid that she would see that everything was messy (but we can't really tell...maybe the guys are neats). She used to like fangirling and now that she's 26, she thought that she had gone over with that phase. It's true that she's over with that phase, but apparently the case is different with TVXQ. And she learned it the hard way when she was told by Chen that Changmin and Yunho thought that she disliked them because she was glaring at them when in reality, she was trying to act cool in front of her obejcts of fangirling.

Regarding the members of Exo-M, she merely regarded them as her responsibility to take care of them because it was her job at first, but as she got to know more about them, she began to like them and treat them more like her own dongsaengs. Her first impressions on them are neutrals, since she never judge anyone based on a first impression, but she kinda had a respect for them since she knew how tough it is for them to go through all the harsh trainings before they debuted and got all famous (credits to Tao who always complained about how hard the trainings were whenever he called over). She was actually grateful that they never looked down on her being their manager despite that she's female, and that they were very cooperative and listens to her well to make everything easy for her and themselves despite how tired they would be at times. Now that she had gotten to know them better, she felt like they were taking care of each other rather than she alone taking care of them.

Background

Lyn was born in Beijing from Chinese parents but was raised in Canada. She had been living in Canada since she was 1 but her family had been visiting China every now and then where Tao became attached to her since they knew each other. She had four younger brothers whom she was really protective of, and the brothers were also protective of her, maybe even more than she did with them. Both her parents had really busy jobs so she had been the one that takes care of her brothers since they were little so they were more close to her than their parents.

She majors on foreign languages (Japanes and Korean) during university and had had a few jobs including part-time before she moves back to Beijing. She works as a tranlator for part-time during college and had worked as a secretary for two years as well as a tutor full-time after she graduates.

After retiring as a surgeon, her father brought the whole family back to Beijing, though her two of her brothers, Ivan and Nicky stayed back in Canada to finish their internship and university before they moved back completely to Beijing. She was 25 when she moved back to Beijing , being jobless after she resigned from her previous job when her father asked her to volunteer as a tutor like him in the rural area until she got herself a job.

Not long after, she and her brother Joey,  met up with Kris who invited them over when he was coincidently in town for some promotions. They had a long chat and that was when Kris found out about her looking for a job, and based on her qualifications, Kris pushed her to take on the interview held by SM. He was so confident that she would get the job, and kept blabbering on how it would be great if she got into the same company as him. She was introduced to Chen then because he was there accompanying Kris. At first, she was not interested in joining a company full of famous people, because she thought it would be a hastle (except for the fact that she might have a chance to meet with TVXQ), but then, she realized she wouldn't be able to gain the experience elsewhere so she decided to take on the job.

Her brothers as always would support her decision to take on the job, her father just lets her do what she wants, but her mother strongly opposes her decision saying that she could get a better job elsewhere. It took her a lot of time to persuade her mother to finally accept her decision.

Dislikes: flavored milk / nuts / sudden schedule / messy places / mini skirts and shorts / strong odors or perfume / being lazy bum / gossipping girls / annoying fans
Habits:

-She would exercise after every big meal to burn up the excess calory

-She would uses stairs more often than elevator anywhere she could unless she had to use the elevator. It's a habit that she recently picked up when she use it as an exercise when she couldn't have the time for it.

-She would be uncoordinated and dazed whenever she was being forced to wake up early. Don't get me wrong, she's a morning person alright, but not when it was before 6.30 am. (Tao likes to prank her during this time whenever he got the chance, since she would be too daze to react but luckily, Chen will be there to save her, but not everytime)

-She cleans up whenever she sees a mess, that's how worse her neat freakiness is.

-morning jogs

Facts

-She's fluent in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.

-She's a very big fan of TVXQ and had gone to all of their concerts when she was given the opportunity to.

-She's a BIG eater and had high tolerance for alcohol, but she's definitely not an alcoholic.

-Coffee makes her sleepy so never give her coffee unless you want to make her sleep. She drinks milk instead to make her more alert and she could only drink white milk, no flavored milk. It really works on her that too much milk makes her unable to sleep. She's kinda unusual like that.

-She volunteered as a tutor in the rural area together with her father whenever she got the chance.

-Her mp3 consists of only TVXQ songs. (Plus some of Exo's since she was in charge of them and began to love their songs)

-She's the same with Tao where they had been trained in martial arts since they were little

The Interview

Why did you choose to join the company?
Hmmm...let me see. First, if I get into the company, that means I'm going to be able to work with BIG STARS! Come on, who doesn't know SM? It's like a company full of famous people! Even if I don't get to work directly with them, I'd still get to meet them, won't I? And I think the wages would be satisfying too! A manager gets to follow the charges everywhere they went, right? I could go for a free trip around the world! Free trips and lots of money! aren't that the most wonderful things? Besides, this is actually the first company I'm interviewing for, and Kris actually introduced this job to me, and that brat would be really happy if I get the job since he kept on pestering me to attend this interview. And I choose to be a manager in hopes that I could put my fluency in languages into good use. She actually had had the opportunities to work with SM before when she was still in Canada.

Out of the group members in your charge, who is/are your favourite/s?
I'm close with all of them. I'm like their big sister and they're all my lovely dongsaengs. My favorites would be Tao, my little kitten, and Xiumin! He's really a puff ball. I knew Kris for a longer time but we're cool with each other just like that.

what is your relationship with your charges like?
To put it simply, I'm the big sister, and they're the dongsaengs. They would confide to me like a dongsaeng would to a sister, and I love taking care of them like the big sister I should be. And I can proudly said that I'm good at dealing with boys, since I had four boys of my own to be taken care of since I was little.

With Kris, we shared secrets, but more like he likes to confide in me about things that he can't decide on. We had private talks now and then, either through phone calls or meetings. Kris's a cool guy who hates talking. In front of others, we seemed distant and never really talk, but in reality, we knew about each other better than anyone.

Tao's the little baby in the group, and he's also my little kitten. I felt like I knew him the most out of all Exo-M's members. He depends on me a lot and always turn to me when he's troubled or sad, or just being picked on by the others. He likes to argue with me about almost everything just to annoy me, which he wouldn't dare to do to the others but he always listen to me the most.

Luhan is more of a cool guy than Kris. He shows more of his maturity through the way he acts, thinks and talks. So unlike Kris and Tao, he's the one I confided in when I need a second opinion about the group's matters. Don't get me wrong, Kris is a good leader, and he's very responsible about it, but in the matter of second opinions, Luhan is better at it, and Kris also adknowledge of it. He's a bit shy around girls; women, that includes me too. But later on, his shyness around me slowly replaced by boldness.

Chen is very active and bubbly. He's actually the first out of the other 5 (Kris excluded) that I've met. I'm really comfortable whenever I'm around him. He always exudes so much positive energy that could always make my headache goes away. It's easy to initiate a conversations with him and he could always converse lightly on everything. He's also very obedient and easy to take care of. One thing that I really appreciate about him is that he always had a way to control Tao so it really helps sometimes whenever I had my hands full on other things, he would instantly helped me out with Tao.

Lay is somewhat similar to Luhan, except that he appeared to be more comfortable around me. Never a shy boy like Luhan. He's really bold in speaking out his mind, and easy to talk to since we also think things the same way. But I would never try to initiate a conversation with him since he's really clear about wanting his privacy, so unless there's something important to talk about, he would be the one to reach out to me to initiate a conversation. And I'm not in the least bit of feeling uncomfortable. It's totally acceptable.

Last but not least, Xiumin the goof ball! To be honest, I would have thought that we're actually same friends if not for the fact that he's actually 2 years younger than me; same age with Kris and Luhan. I'm not saying that he looks old. No. On the contrary, we talk like we've been friends for a long time, like we've actually known each other forever. He's really goofy most of the time, but would turn serious when dealing with important things. At times, he'd be like the big brother I'd never have, but on another occasions, he'd act like a dongsaeng that he should be. It's really fun hanging around him and we could really talk to each other just about everything, even the smallest things.

Is it difficult to work with other coordinators (eg. hairstylists)?
I think I got along just fine with them. Can't really say since I'm not particularly close with any of the other staff members. I just basically talk to them only matters regarding the group and nothing more. But I do get annoyed at times when they got too pushy about getting their jobs done on time. It happened sometimes whenever a new schedule was suddenly added to the previously informed. I can't blame them since everyone was getting anxious to get the job done on time but it annoyed me when I'm the one to be blamed whenever things like this happened.

The only one that I can't get along with was the staffs from the broadcasting companies. I felt like they were too demanding for the sake of their programs that sometimes they couldn't even spare my charges the break they needed when they had rushed over just after finishing another  hectic schedule. I felt like they wouldn't even spare any thoughts of them being tired. It was like they thought of my charges to be invincible.

how would you describe your charges?

(I would have wrote another different answers but since I have included my own impressions on them when I described my relationships with them one-by-one, I think I'll just put the same answers since it answers both of the questions equally. But if you need more of it, just tell me what I lack of to be added to these.)

I've seen that quiet a few had chosen Exo as their charges, but I had my own reason for choosing Exo as well, particularly Exo-M. Firstly, I think that idols like Exo who had oversea schedules needs a manager that can manage them well outside of Korea. And I chose Exo-M because they had to be active in China as well as Korea, or any other place that needs them to be there. Secondly, I think that one manager couldn't handle 12 boys by him/herself, even more so when the manager is a woman. And since I've chosen to manage a boy group, I think a female manager could handle 6 membered group just fine, unlike having to manage 12 members, it's kinda impossible to me. And Exo-K as well as Exo-M sometimes promotes separately so they have to need one manager at least for each of the group, so I ended up choosing just Exo-M to be my MAIN charges since I might need to manage Exo-K as well when needed, but my priority is Exo-M. And I could put my character's background to good use.

Scene request:

-Changmin invited me to a family gathering because his mom had mistaken me for his girlfriend the last time we met and she forced Changmin to bring me along. Changmin was actually impressed with my tolerance for alcohol during the party. Then, words got out about me going to family gathering making some flash news between me and Changmin.

-Exo made for me a surprise birthday party

-Scene of me frequently using the stairs instead of elevator

-Scene of me doing extreme sports with Exo and they were really impressed with my bravery(kinda like Jihyo from running man)

-Scene where Tao and me practice out martial arts

-Lyn was getting blamed and scolded by some staff right in front of the 12 Exo members because of Exo's lateness in a high viewer rate program and they scolded her either in Chinese or English so that the members wouldn't understand but the members felt wrong for her because the schedule was added in the last minute and that there's nothing they could do about it.

-Lyn had to attend a staff training program where Exo-M would be temporarily managed by other manager, and there's a scene where for the whole 3 days period of the training, all 6 members will give her a call separately once a day.

Thank you!
